  1. Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr. & Jude Law) with my boys
  2. Emergency: Boys Will Be Boys Black Rain: Black Rain Boss: Step On It Todtgelichter: Apnoe
  3. An underrated classic... I'll second that - an absolute cracker of an album!
  4. An oldie, but a goodie: Thin Lizzy - The Holy War
  5. I can rarely afford to buy new CDs, so second hand shops/sites, etc. are a God-send as far as I'm concerned. If I pick up something in a chariddy shop, then my money is going to support a good cause, too I do like owning the physical disc itself, so will always try to find a way to get my hands on a CD ahead of simply downloading an album ... call me old-fashioned, if you like ...
  6. More film-viewing with the kids ... Ice Age 3: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs Ice Age 4: Continental Drift
  7. If you listen carefully, you can hear the bottom of the barrel being scraped ....
  8. Imelda May was FANTASTIC last night - two hours of top quality blues/rockabilly ... by God, the woman can carry a tune!
  9. Garbage - Version 2.0 Aerosmith - Pump Bryan Adams - Reckless
  10. Imelda May on Tuesday next week ... a pleasant change from the usual pounding metal
  11. The boy Coverdale likes to use the word 'love' ... Love To Keep You Warm Lie Down (A Modern Love Song) The Time Is Right For Love Love Hunter Love Man Ain’t No Love In The Heart Of The City (yeah, I know it's a cover, but it's a classic Whitesnake moment) Victim Of Love Love Ain’t No Stranger Hungry For Love Guilty Of Love Give Me All Your Love Looking For Love Is This Love The Deeper The Love All In The Name Of Love Your Precious Love All For Love Lay Down Your Love A Fool In Love Love Will Set You Free Love And Treat Me Right
  12. 'Rainbow' crops up a fair bit, too ... but, you're right, we wouldn't want him any other way!
  13. Found a copy of Tesla's 'Bust A Nut' in a chariddy shop ... it would have been rude not to pick it up!
  14. I think you meant to direct that towards Geoffery. And he's probably never heard that song. He has no patience for Classic Rock. I've heard the song... regrettably. Haha, nah, it's okay for bland radio rock... kind of like Foo Fighters! But yeah, okay, fair enough if that's who he is. Still never heard of him. I always thought Eric Clapton was The Eagles' guitarist, wasn't he? What do I care anyway... not my type of music at all. Seriously?! I appreciate it might not be your thing, but ... seriously??
  15. Mr & Mrs Smith And a bit of a 'family film' fest with the kids/my better half and her kids this weekend: Nativity! (not as bad as I was expecting it to be - surprisingly entertaining) Nativity 2 - Danger In The Manger (raised the odd smile, but otherwise truly awful ... so bad, it's not even good (if that makes sense?)) Scooby Doo 2 - Monsters Unleashed (the kids watched it because it's Scooby Doo - I watched it because it's got Linda Fiorentino in it) Wallace & Gromit - A Matter Of Loaf And Death (what's not to like?)
  16. You're Never ALONE With A Schizophrenic - Ian Hunter
  17. Currently listening to the Imelda May back catalogue, ahead of going to see her in early December
  18. Lone Survivor (Mark Wahlberg in the 'based on true events' tale of an ill-fated SEAL mission in Afghanistan) - 'enjoyed' is probably the wrong word, but this film was a lot better than I was expecting (although I don't think for one second it tells the whole story.) I defy anyone not to be moved by the the end-credit photo montage.
  19. Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone (2 disc version) - a £1 bargain!
  20. Lorien: Secrets Of The Elder (http://www.metal-archives.com/reviews/Lorien/Secrets_of_the_Elder/11946/hells_unicorn/29518) Buicide: Escape From Yourself (technical Death Metal, with some Death/VCghildren of Bodom inspired flourishes)
