I love the cover, and the last couple of albums have been bad-ass, so I'm in.
...and predictably, the "We're-Sheltered-and-Get-Offended-Over-Everything" portion of their fan base is already giving them a ton of crap on their Facebook about the use of the term "God Damn." (rolls eyes).
Wait till they realize the release date is 4/20, so they can get their undies in a bunch over that too.
I read some of those posts you mentioned, a few people even stated they would download all the songs except the title track or wouldn't buy the album simply because of the title, unreal. Anyway, I concur, great album cover and I too am looking forward to this one.

Definitely better than the last single, and yes it could have been on GOG.
Agreed, pretty good tune

From Uli Jon Roth's FB page:
Dear Friends, Dear Fans of Zeno!
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I must inform you that my dear brother Zeno Roth passed away yesterday, on Feb 5, 2018. He died in his sleep after years of illness and finally moved on to a much better place.
Speaking on behalf of all his family and friends, this is a tremendous loss, both on a human level, but also because Zeno was a true and incredibly gifted artist. We will always remember his songs, poetry and beautiful guitar playing. As a brother, I remember him as a gentle caring soul with the deepest feelings, but also as a person of great humour and wit. His song-writing abilities were of the first order. He was a truly outstanding guitar player and his talent for poetry was simply incredible and on the highest level imaginable, which was particularly evident in those poems which he had written in his mother tongue of German. Fortunately for us, he left us many of these precious gem stones and we shall publish a collection of his poems posthumously in due course.
Just before he died, Zeno was working on three brand new songs which he played to me in a demo version before Christmas and I was amazed at what I heard, because he had reached a new plateau and his playing was better than ever, miraculously, despite his debilitating illness. We will try to finish these songs and release them because they are worth hearing and contain a lot of magic and beauty. To all the fans of Zeno worldwide, I want to say thank you on his behalf, I want to say thank you on his behalf, his son Shion, Naoko, his girlfriend Indu and his family, and that of his closest friend and band member, Ule W. Ritgen for all your support and loyalty. God bless Zeno’s soul! -

Steve Hackett - Feedback 86.
This release (or parts of it) was intended to be GTR's second release but it remained unreleased until 2000.
Thanks for the info Stefan, I liked GTR's debut and never knew of this release. I will try and check it out

Not sure how long this will be around but sounding good!
looks to still be up, sounds good to me as well

Poison Heart is a good tune, both demo tracks sound like they were recorded during the late 80's rather than in 2017.

Nice tune

I took one look at them and immediately assumed it would be shit, but those tracks are pretty surpringly decent!
I was thinking the same, and initially passed this up based on the cheesy cover photo. But the guitarists are pretty good and production is solid. They have some potential.

Not bad

The band has released the title track as second song off the upcoming album. I think both tunes sound pretty good.

Check out the solo on Rain. Starts around 3:50. A minute plus of Akira at his best. Very reminiscent of their earlier sound.
I gave this a listen on Spotify yesterday. I agree that solo during Rain is awesome and Takasaki shreds on several tracks. Not as good as their earlier albums but is the closest they've come to sounding like that era in a long time.

I remember buying this on cassette after a recommendation from a guy who worked at a local record store that I frequented. Several good tunes on this one.

This one popped up in the rotation today and reminded of how great both these albums are. IMO, of course.
Agreed, both albums by Fifth Angel are really good

Nice tunes, I thought the first album was pretty good. I haven't gotten around to listening to this new one, but will add it to my list.

I enjoyed their first one and although some of the samples didn't really stand out I'll give the full album a proper listen

This is the only album I have by this band.
I really need to check out some more cause I love this one....Their first 3 were all good, Gallus and Swagger being my favorites. 4th album was a big disappointment, for me. Their more recent albums are without the original singer but are not bad, just have a different style.

Hmmm...I thought this was going to be the original recordings, re-mastered, with some unreleased tracks added. This first promo video seems like the song was re-recorded with slightly altered lyrics.

They had a string of good albums from the mid 80's til early 90's, but I lost interest when they changed their style. I'll give this one a listen though as it reminds me of their earlier sound, especially Takasaki's playing.

Jizzy Pearl (Love/Hate) - All You Need Is Soul

Love/Hate's first two albums were great. This sounds promising. The write up refers to Darren Householder being a member of Love/Hate. I may be mistaken, but I don't recall him playing on any of their records, so maybe he joined them on a tour?
