One thing I did notice, and looking at the video comments on youtube, In our blood from Quid pro quo, is how much I kept wanting to sing Rebel yell during the verses. Not a direct rip, but certainly a very similar tune.

I agree, the verses sound very similar to "Rebel Yell".   The new album has grown on me after giving it a few more listens.  All three albums are good, but I still prefer Quid Pro Quo a bit more

Got to see H.e.a.t in Chicago this past weekend....Wow, they blew the roof off the place!

Anyways, also got the chance to chat a bit with Jona and asked if there is any talk of the next album.  He said they have about 8 songs ready so far and were planning to hit the studio in the fall but that might be getting pushed back now to the spring due to a European tour.  He said they're definitely aiming to have the next album out by the end of 2019.  He said they really can't afford to take as much time off as they did with the last album as the band is the only source of income for most of the guys.

So hopefully next year at this time we're gearing up for the next album :)

I wish I could have made it, seemed like Andrew had a lot of great acts for MRF again.   I've never seen H.e.a.t., so I'm quite envious.  That is exciting news on the possibility of a new release next year, let's hope so.

  3. The song has a pleasant chorus and vocals sound good, but rather mellow for a lead single.  It sounds closer to Wilson Phillips than the debut.   I'm still interested in hearing more though based on the strength of the prior release.

  4. I've heard a couple songs of theirs in the past, but never really got into them.  From what I've seen, their songs revolve around Satan as do their costumes and stage shows.  Kind of like a modern version of King Diamond, but more tongue in cheek, and more diverse musically

Johnny had mentioned on his Pledgemusic updates a few weeks back that the guitarist on the album was Eric Gadrix who he added also did some co-writes.  I think they used someone else for the video shoot.

Actually, please disregard my last post about guitarist.  Those pledgemusic updates were just in regards to his solo album. At first I thought those sessions morphed into this release with Deen.  However, I just read on Johnny's FB page that this album is separate from his solo which Eric Gadrix is the guitarist and Deen is guest drummer on a few tracks for the other release

What about the guitar player does anyone know if he played in another project before?  I think I recognized the guitar from an Issa video a few years back, could be the same guy

Ordered this direct from Lions Pride upon its release,I know it got delayed a few weeks until 23rd April due to printing issues...but mine has still not arrived in physical form...does anyone know how long a cd should take to get to the UK from Lions Pride?

Haven't received any communication from them since ordering :( 2 weeks today

While I'm not sure of the shipping time you asked about,  I had noticed that NEH Records (online music store located in U.S.) recently pushed back release date to May 18th.

    It's fantastic

Two or three songs that could of been from the sound of madness

But really good all round and much heavier than the last one

My thoughts as well.  I was disappointed by the last album, but enjoying this one

Right now I'm listening to Unbreakable and Humanity Hour I and I have to say they are pretty damn good.

Some catchy shit there - surprised me.

Desmond Child co-wrote tracks on Humanity Hour so it has a little different style.  You may enjoy Sting In the Tail as well which was the release after.

  10. If I recall correctly they did have a fair amount of songs recorded from that era including some that ended up on Use Your Illusion.  I'm interested if it isn't too expensive and has unreleased studio material, rather than live recordings or tracks already on other compilations.

Liking this, bit of a 70s / Zeppelin vibe but nice to listen to. Spinning the album right now and seems to be a nice blend of styles

Yeah, this is a pretty good album.  As you said a nice mix of styles.  I heard similarities to The Rods (Rock 'n' Rolla), The Cult and even some ZZ Top (Lazy Lucy).
