I appreciate having the option to get a special edition with extras, if it is a band I really like, so I am for it. I personally can't see buying all 3, but some collectors might. I would much prefer bands put out packages like this rather than some of those reissues/remasters of albums that have little to no bonus content and for which the prior versions sound just fine and are still readily available.

This a nice one.
I completely agree Stefan, really nice tune

I wholeheartedly agree with the positive comments and the comparison in style to early Danger Danger. I had enjoyed the samples the band put out prior to the release but the album has surpassed my expectations. Midnite City's debut has quickly moved into my top 5 for 2017 after listening to it a few times this week.

I've given this one a few listens and it unfortunately hasn't grown on me. I thought their first 4 albums were great and while this isn't a bad album, I find myself skipping several tracks and don't see it cracking my top 20 for 2017.

Similar to Darkstone I often find the first song to be a good indicator of what I can expect from the rest of the album. I actually have two playlists made of only opening tracks. Here is one of those playlists, leaving off songs you've already listed.

Alien - Brave New Love
Black ‘n Blue – Rockin’ On Heaven’s Door
Bon Jovi - Runaway

David Lee Roth – Yankee Rose
Danger Danger – Naughty Naughty
Dare – Abandon
Dirty Looks – Blue Tequila
Dokken – Kiss of Death
Europe – Superstitious
Eyes – Callin’ All Girls
FM – That Girl
Great White – Lady Red Light
Guns N’ Roses – Welcome to the Jungle
H.E.A.T - Point of No Return
Harem Scarem – Hard to Love
Honeymoon Suite – Bad Attitude
Hurricane – Over the Edge
Icon – Right Between the Eyes
Kane Roberts – Wild Nights
L.A. Guns – Over the Edge
Le Mans – Love Lies
Lillian Axe – All’s Fair in Love and War
McAuley Schenker Group – Gimme Your Love
Night Ranger – Don’t Tell Me You Love Me
Ozzy Osbourne – Bark at the Moon
Ratt – You’re In Love

I've got a similar bootleg set of these recordings on cdr. The version I have also has a demo of Sweet Love Child but is missing the two live/rehearsal tracks listed on the artwork above at end of disc two. I thought many of the tracks that didn't make Prisoners (or their best of release) were good songs, but the sound is typical demo quality.

This second track sounds pretty good to me. Not on the same level as their debut, but I like it.
-
Another average track, for me. Hopefully the album has a couple of gems on it though
-
The production on this one does sound better than their prior releases. Pretty good album, but I prefer City of Gold and Stand In the Fire.
-
That is a great ballad
-
If you close your eyes, you're sure it's a woman singing in the verses.
Nice song.
yeah, had I not seen the video I would have thought the same in regards to the singer during the verses, pretty good tune
-
It isn't a return to the 80's G N' R style of Screaming For Adrenaline like I was hoping for, but it is a good tune, I like it
-
There isn't anything positive I can say about this new track, very disappointing
-
Not bad, singer sounds bit like Robert Mason
-
Great tune and nice video tribute to RJD and Dime. I thought Anthrax's last two albums were their best since the 80's

Just wanted to share this review....think it's probably one of the better I've seen to this point. I tried to copy and paste text but think it has some sort of protection on it.

That is a nice review, in depth and fair, while pointing out to fans what they can expect with regards to the style and sound of the tracks. I continue to look forward to hearing the full album.

Pretty good song
-
Seems like a decent song to me. Not quite what I was hoping for, but not bad either.
It's okay I guess. Not amazing but pretty solid.
Agree with you both, solid tune, but it lacks that killer hook that I've come to expect from a lead single of a JSS album

VIXEN VOCALIST JANET GARDNER INKS DEAL WITH PAVEMENT ENTERTAINMENT - SOLO ALBUM TO BE RELEASED AUGUST 18TH, 2017
Best known as the lead vocalist of the all-female rock band Vixen. Teaming up with guitarist/songwriter/producer Justin James (having worked with Staind, Collective Soul, and Tyketto), Gardner has ventured into the solo realm to unleash a new side of her musical creativity. Together, Janet and Justin have penned a collection of emotionally charged songs with gritty grooves, infectious hooks, and inspired lyrics that merge hard rock influences from the last four decades.

"This is a very diverse collection of music. Justin and I combined forces with hard rock influences from the last four decades. If you like the seventies, the song 'The Good Or The Bye' is the song for you. If you like the eighties, 'If You Want Me', 'Candle' and 'Hippycrite' are for you. If you like the nineties, you might dig 'Your Problem Now' and 'The Grind', but they all have a common thread that is simply our sound together."
01. Rat Hole
02. Hippycrite
03. If You Want Me
04. Candle
05. Your Problem Now
06. Let It Be Over
07. Lost
08. The Grind
09. Best Friend
10. The Good Or The Bye
First video from the album...heavier, more modern sounding than I expected -
Another track from the upcoming album
-
I'm somewhat interested as well, although I wish they'd have included the tracks from the unreleased 3rd album
-
I stream a lot of music and listen to discs on my old portable cd player during my work day, plus my wife and I don't watch a lot of television. I find out about newer bands or releases through sites like this, but I don't buy new release cds too often unless it is a favorite band or something I've heard already and really like.

Helix, Honeymoon Suite, and Randy Bachman on the bill today. Gonna be awesome!!
Very cool, I saw Helix many years ago and they put on a really fun show. Did Honeymoon Suite and Helix primarily play their old stuff or was it a mix of old and new songs?

More mid-tempo, 70's hard rock influenced songs like their last few albums. A couple of ok tunes, like the title track, but if I want to listen to this style I'll put on a Deep Purple cd. If they aren't going to return to the melodic rock of the 80's then I'd actually prefer they return to the modern rock style they used on Secret Society and Start from the Dark. I know those weren't great albums, but in my opinion they sounded fresher and had a few stand out tracks on them.
