  1. I would assume that this dollar amount doesn't include any publishing costs, but just straight studio, engineering, production costs and then factor in pressing costs as well?
  2. Ugghhh, don't know what it was that woke me this AM, but after the 4 day weekend, I certainlydon't wish to be awake...
  3. Well I have secured my "bachelor pad" as the rest of my tribe will stay in Seattle until we get a better plan, IE: find renters for our house and then of course find a suitable rental for the whole family. 2 weeks and counting...
  4. Was it Tokio Hotel? They are babies and the singer has huge black hair.
  5. In size 'Large' please.... That shirt is straight out of the Redd Kross collection if their ever was one...
  6. Yes she did win, you can go to the Voice site and see all her performances, her name is Cassadee Pope and yes Geoff, thought it a bit skewed/odd that someone who already had a shot and moved some albums got into let alone through the show. You would think a major key to the show would focus on unknown talent?
  7. I think everyone knows that Rock Candy Sucker is boots since as far as I know there was never an official cd release. When you mentioned Rock Candy you had also mentioned other labels so one would assume you were speaking of the label not the band. In all fairness in reading Sam's post my first thought was the band Rock Candy, not the label. And in post #121 and #122, the "bootleg" seller jabs, which are uncalled for, (and I am not eluding to anyone person selling anything mind you), I believe as a community we know this practice exists, we just want the act to be a known act, not the trying to pass a boot off as an original. That way we can make the decision as to what we are buying and if that suits our needs. No surprises. Right?!? Reminder: this topic is VERY touchy and obviously opinions vary greatly, let us PLEASE try to remain somewhat civil and TRY to deal in facts. Thank you. Carry on.
  8. I sure did enjoy that Amanda Brown, she sure could belt out some rock songs...
  9. Terry has agreat voice, I would be curious to see whatkind of album he'd do. Maybe he will be cool and unground like Bo Bice? Anyone remember the winner from the band Hey Monday?
  10. Really? That's the only song I would boot off the album. Maybe their worst song ever imo. I'll have to agree with Glen as I too quite like Desire. IMHO After The Rain is one of those perfect albums, like High N Dry or Slide It In, every song is perfect and the album plays front to back without a miss... I do like those "bonus" tracks and agree that Too Many Dreams could easily have been on ATR and fit the mold perfectly.
  11. Is that a bad thing? I love that song! Hurts - Stay No great song, just interesting how the radio works. Beach Boys-Wouldn't It Be Nice...
  12. Don't you mean...BAD CASE OF LOVING YOU............... Yes I do, note to self no internet before first cup of coffee...

  14. Currently finishing up book 2 in the Percy Jackson series entitled Sea Of Monsters by Rick Riordan. Good reads so far.
  15. Damn, hearing those songs give me goosebumps! Simply awesome!
  16. Yeah, great films. I thought the 4th one was a little weaker than the others, but still good fun. We watched Crank again last night. Ridiculous story, but decent enough action film. Ideal film for us as my missus loves Jason Statham and my favourite thing abut the film is this: I was gonna say, Amy Smart =
  17. Thanks alot guys. One month and counting. Funny how after giving my notice at my current employ the management has turned into instant dicks...Makes me feel better about my decision anyway as I was quite pleased with the current work and the people there. True colors and all that I suppose...
  18. Terry... Good luck with the move. Hope you and your family thrive in your new surroundings. As far as having new pawn shops and other places to scrounge... I'd be willing to bet that Terry has already hit those places on a few occasions. And I'm not so sure the Portland scene is any better than the Seattle scene. But I'm from Vancouver, so I can't say much. Portlands "used" music scene is super dead and Dave, your right I've been there and done that. And actually the vinyl scene thrives there, but the area has no bargains, the last time I was down there anything we were into was priced in and above the $20.00. For used vinyl! The hunt for a place to crash continues and of course all the while preparing for the holidays. " What a wond, wonderful stressfull time of the year."
