  1. Other than Dawn every D2 album is a classic, but all have some filler tracks....especially Screw It!
  2. Mirror, Mirror is still a song that kicks my ass to this very day.
  3. Simply awesome! Pure ear candy and that solo is brilliant.
  4. Was a huge fan of the first three releases...the last one was a step down and this new track doesn’t impress me very much. Tongue in cheek humour is cool but now it’s just plain stupid after five releases of the same joke over and over again.
  5. Body Of Work was great but the three following singles have done nothing for me.
  6. Comparing Eclipse to Nitrate is like comparing Van Halen to Poison or Guns N Roses to Aerosmith. Yes both are rock bands....but it pretty much ends there.
  7. Come on! This is perfection! Can't wait to hear the rest. Like many have said, they make it sound so easy and natural.
  8. I know NFO’s sound isn’t for everyone but to me they are more talented and fun than any of those bands listed.
  9. Love the vocals and vibe of this band, I was able to put 15 good songs together and make one decent release out of all their albums. Three songs I do truly love are Carnival Of Rust, Dreaming Wide Awake and the brilliant Dancing On Broken Glass.
  10. At the moment Strid is my favourite vocalist and NFO is the best band I’ve heard in a long time. I’m actually with Glen on this one.
  11. Sounds like Jorn....just not as powerful. I downloaded the album, solid stuff. But Strid is the best vocalist by a mile from all involved in the project.
  12. “Eagle” reminds me of Reckless Love’s “Fantasy” in the groove and pace. “She’s Wearing Yesterday’s Face” sounds like something H.E.A.T. would record with today’s lineup.
  13. The band has changed their themes, songwriting and production on almost every album. The debut sounded like a debut with meh production and some decent songs. My Religion showed us they could copy styles from the 80’s legendary acts....the first 5 tracks on that one still blow me away nearly 10 years later. They then took a dark turn and tried to go sleazy with some awful production on Riot Avenue. The follow up had some highlights but to me ended being fairly forgettable. Ruff Justice went 80’s Horror film themed. It was slick, glossy and spectacular. Wild Frontier is just as glossy with a Top Gun/Iron Eagle 80’s theme. I much prefer the ballad on this one than the one on Ruff Justice....but both releases are very similar in sound. Give me the last two releases and the first half of My Religion and you have one of the best bands around.
  14. Pretty solid release, Harry doesn’t seem to be straining his voice as much and sounds great. The music is a bit softer and simpler but just as enjoyable as the first two releases.
  15. You’d prefer more of a debut Skid Row opposed to a Slippery When Wet era Bon Jovi in the sound?
  16. This album is near perfection. I was impressed with the 3 first singles but the 2nd half of the album is even better. Crazy Lixx is the best band out there at the moment doing and perfecting the 80’s sound. This release blows me away!
  17. Perfect song for a new Top Gun or Iron Eagle.
  18. I’m actually disappointed with that version....such a huge potential chorus which seems to have been toned and slowed down.
  19. The song is average at best but damn that guitar solo scorches.
  20. The lead single is solid, not spectacular. Harry sounds fantastic. The fact he is re-recording “Born To Be A Rebel” is pretty sweet.
  21. Waaaaay better than the pathetic The Astonishing from a few years ago. The tracks are solid, not Images and Words awesome but solid. They finally put Jordan Rudess on a leash with focusing on more guitar and finally some bass. Any fan of DT should enjoy this one.
  22. Can't think of any of favorite bands who've released over 5 albums that haven't released at least on bad album. Danger Danger - Dawn Dokken - Shadowlife Dream Theater - The Astonishing....ly fucking brutal release Van Halen - III and for the most part Diver Down Harem Scarem - Hope and Voice Of Reason...I honestly can't listen to either Lillian Axe - pretty much everything after Psycho... The only band that comes to mind to have released at least 5 albums, that are HH material and none have been poor or bad is likely H.E.A.T. although I've enjoyed some much more than others.
  23. Love Reaction is the only track on the debut that I would not give it a 10, still a great tune, but the other 9 are all better.
