  1. Jack Action is a bit cheesy, but I love the riffage.
  2. That's pretty awesome mate. Did you have the album at that stage? It would have been great regardless, but it would have been even better if you were already familiar with the tracks.
  3. I love "The Last Command". I was nearly gonna post that instead of this, but I prefer "The Headless Children" by a whisker.
  4. "Takin' Me Down" is one of THE songs of the era. I love "Hot Cherie" and "Everthing" also. Actually, the whole album is a killer and definitely no skips required.
  5. Yeah, for sure. The memory factor is a big part of it. Having said that, I still think I'd love all my old school favourites if I'd only heard them recently.
  6. Bloodbound - Black Devil. Looking forward to the new album. These guys are always good value.
  7. Heavy Metal Masterpiece!! There was a time for me when it was all about W.A.S.P. The first 6 albums in particular. This for me is a "no skip, on repeat, full volume album!" It's like they decided no more gimmicks and let the music speak for itself. To me, this album represents W.A.S.P. growing up. I Fucking love it! It's a shame, but I'm guessing he doesn't play "Mean Man" anymore. I've also posted one of my favourites, "Harder Faster" from "Live...in the Raw". Does anyone know if they ever did a studio version of this? If not, then you can "Suck Me, Suck Me, Eat Me Raw!"
  8. "The Pretty Reckless - Goin' Down (Live in Argentina 2012). That's the title of the youtube video. It's age restricted, so I can't post it. You'll have to check it out for yourselves on youtube. You can all Thank me later.

    NFL 2020

The Superbowl is always televised live down here. Springsteen in '09 was incredible and very memorable. You guys are right about the Pop acts. Nothing's come close to bruce's performance since. We have the same problem here with our Grand Final pre-game and halftime entertainment.
  10. Another one that I'm sure we all know and love. I've also posted the four bonus tracks from the 2011 re-release. This is as close to perfect as you can get. The production on this and the follow up is the only (very) slight nitpick. His second album is great too, but this one is very special to me. Very high rotation back in the day. I was already a huge fan of his albums when I found out he was the new D2 frontman. I've grown to love "Dawn", but it was a slight disappointment at the time. D2 and Paul certainly got back on track after that. Paul Laine has been in the business for quite a while now. I find it strange that he only has two solo albums and his last one was 25 years ago! C'mon Frontiers! Even a re-recording with better production would be great. It's a travesty that only a relatively small amount of people such as ourselves are aware of this album, but I kinda like that.
  11. Listening to the Great "McAuley Schenker Group" today. Here's four tracks that ooze class.
  12. His voice always reminded me of early "Bonfire" Claus Lessmann and that's cool with me.
  13. Ha! Yeah, you're right. I just checked it out and it's slang for a type of hashish apparently.
  14. Of his many releases, I think "Demon Drive - Burn Rubber" is my favourite.
  15. Judging by their album covers, I'm guessing it's a reference to the Aztec/Mayan/Meso American ritual ball game. I have no idea why a band from Finland would choose this imagery.
  16. Yeah, a Classic. "Back to the Wall" and "Don't Talk About Love" are killers. Always been a fan of Michael Voss and his many projects. His stuff can be a bit hit or miss at times, but when he's good, he's very good.
  17. Well there you go. I didn't notice that. Great minds...
  18. Another Monster from the good old days. I first heard of these guys when I was reading a letter in the mail section of Metal Edge. It was on the titles list of an Aussie mail order company at time called "Raggamuffin Records". I knew nothing about them, but the letter was positive and I loved the name. The day it arrived there were a few mates at my place, all into this music. I'll never forget the look of disbelief and envy when "Play Dirty" started. It was beautiful. They may not be all killers on this album, but the ones that are killers are Fucking beasts! "Play Dirty", "Bad Reputation" and "Come Play the Game" are MHR perfection. The follow up album isn't too shabby either, but not in the same League as this.
  19. Very, very close call, but I think I agree.
  20. Okay, this one is not only a no skip album, this is a no skip repeat album. The best "Super Group" of our music ever? If not, they come close. I remember like it was yesterday when I first heard "Crash N' Burn". This album is like a time machine for me and epitomizes the feel of the era, IMO. I love George Lynch, but I would have liked to have been a fly on the wall when he first heard this album.
  21. Tango Down - All Fall Down. Phil Naro - Heartbreak in the Night. A couple of my favourites featuring Phil Naro.
