  1. Bon Jovi will never win really,do more of what they did in the 80s and they're just rehashing old music to sell out, move with the times and they're selling out too. I disagree. There are many bands out there who have updated their sound without losing what makes them "them". Example Tesla. But either way, it shouldn't matter when you are as big as BJ is. Do the thousands of people that come to see Kiss, AC/DC, Motley Crue etc. call them dated acts? How about Poison? The fact is most of the people that listen to BJ or any of the people I mentioned aren't buying the new stuff to begin with because they want to hear the hits. Putting out terrible album after terrible album though isn't ever going to change that. I agree, no reason you can't move on and keep a little of your past in your sound aswell.
  2. Just saw Whitesnake last night, fantastic show.
  3. Bonfire - Fireworks And then some Whitesnake - Slide It In 87 & Slip Of The Tongue to get ready for the show Friday night 7/24
  4. I heard something about Phil X filling in, but don't know if replacing.
  5. Many things overrated this year....this is not one of them. Overrated to me
  6. At work today Autograph - Loud & Clear Autograph - Missing Pieces Autograph - Buzz BB Steal - On The Edge
  7. +1 (except for the Cauterize comment) This has been discussed to death here and of course is all opinion. Some folk tend to rate an album 10/10 or 100% if they really love every song which is fine. I (as does Geoff) tend to rate every song individually and not every song across the album can be an absolute killer - there will always be a lull somewhere and that's why (up until now), I've not encountered a 100% album.....pretty damned close, but not 100%. That said this is a killer album and well worthy of a score around or in excess of 90%. In fact lets just summarise : best album of 2015 so far Is that easier ;-) NOT the best for me.
  8. Autograph - Sign In Please Autograph - That's The Stuff
  9. Yes, the Great White is at the top for me. One of my favorite bands and love Jacks voice.
  10. Good flick. The script was for a Lethal Weapon Movie, but some of the cast turned it down.
  11. Def Leppard - Adrenalize Alice Cooper - Trash Alice Cooper - Hey Stoopid
  12. Yeah... I don't know what James was goings ons about there. I do get tired of all the Modern Rock bands have the same vocals, but these vocals are nothing like that. Sorry fellas, while I agree that he has a greater range than most modern rock vocalists, his voice still follows the same template and I find it so generic. Gave the album 65% overall, good for what it is, with a couple of very nice tracks ("Better Safe Than Sorry" and "Drama"). Agree
  13. I haven't dissected it thoroughly, but yeah, just looking at the track list I think I only like those 3 big singles. I can't think of any any other band other than Van Halen where, imo, their singles seem to be their best songs... imo, of course. Only 'Dream is over' from 'Unlawful Carnal Knowledge Asscrack' seems to be an exception. But yeah, I have no doubt that I hate the other 6 songs on '5150.' I'm not the biggest Van Halen fan and to be honest I don't think I own any of their albums....not even 1984 or 5150. Having said that there are always 2 or 3 songs on every album which I like so perhaps I should get together a compilation cos that would be pretty cool. Some of those Van Hagar tracks are pretty damned good imo....esp on 5150. 100% agree. On a few of their albums, there are 2-3 great tracks, though it's never more than 3 and it's often less than 2. I am definitely not saying they never recorded a good song. But I am saying that about 85% of their entire discography is absolute rubbish and why I think they're a terrible band. And don't worry Genr8tr, I hate Led Zep too. No fucking way! 85%? That is too funny!!! You think it's closer to 90%? Fair enough, I can go with that. Let's just say that 90% of their discography is utter garbage. Just to keep everyone happy. Lol To each their own
