  1. Cool. I just wish I had your money. All you guys always buying the Japanese pressings: how do you afford it? What he said! By the way, what is the name of the bonus track?
  2. I know we've discussed this many a time, but I still don't get your hate for that album. Just sounds like every other Martensson album to me It's just safe, boring songs. Listen to it back to back with Eclipse. He hasn't thrown one decent meaty riff into the Nordic Union album, whereas they're on every Eclipse song. There is not one hook on the albums (bar that wonderful ballad) that is anything more than straight forward and basic... and just sounds bored to me. Compare the chorus hooks alone to Eclipse, or Hitchcock or something. Like I said all along, the reason I am probably more disappointed with it than other similar releases is because Atkins is a great song writer himself. He doesn't need someone writing songs for him, and for the most part he could have done much better or at least as good. It's just the safest I've heard Martensson go. "Falling" is one of the best songs in the last 15+ years, for me anyway.
  3. Hmmm..... well, Angelo Mazza was in the ill fated Michael Eden version of Eden's Curse for a cup of coffee!! It was a really good cup of coffee. Eden works a French Press like nobody's business. ;-) Probably not... :-P Just saw this here, thanks for posting it, and thank you also for the kind words! Brief rundown of events re: the lineup... After Mark left for personal reasons, we had Mike Ledesma for a few live gigs but I was getting a bit disillusioned with the whole thing, so when I opened a bar in South Philly in 2013 (shameless plug: http://www.facebook.com/taproomon19th ) I broke up the band with no plans to revisit it. After a year or so in the restaurant biz, and with things going relatively smoothly, I started getting the urge to play again, and hooked up with Bob Malone, and we immediately started writing and recording demos. After several months of that I realised the style was just so melodic and similar to what I was doing with FarCry, and after hearing from pretty much everyone I spoke to, I decided to bring back the beast. That original v2.0 lineup had both Ronnie and Tommy in it, but Ronnie's commitments with Bonfire (on tour right now), and Tommy's involvement in a number of paying gigs made their involvement an impossibility, although we are still great friends, and I'd play with those guys again anytime. So Bob, Angelo and I looked for a rhythm section, and found it in Donn Parent and Leo Sabatino, both of whom bring some great stuff to the band, and also had played together for quite some time previous, so they're already in tune with each other. That's the long story short version, but stay tuned, more to come! Well, glad you're back!!!
  4. Is there? Looks like Pete scared everyone else from the last album away. Was it their inability to compete with your handsomeness, Pete? Anyway, sounds like a very nice tune. Absolutely, my rugged good looks combined with my sparkling personality is a heady brew for most mortals to deal with and stuff... Lol
  5. What? You don't know this band???? Jez, you *need* to listen their 3 previous albums, mate, trust me. Break Out (2006) Heart Full Of Fire (2008) Diamond In The Firepit (2014) Diamond is my fav from them, Love that album!
  6. I live right under them, and most likely will never get to see them.
  7. That would be awesome! The sad thing is, all American bands and I would never get to see them here on the East Coast!
  8. This. I refuse to download these albims before release date. Very much looking forward to getting my discs Yes!
  9. Seriously has anyone heard this song? I love this - one of the best this year. yeah much better than the first song Well, can someone put it up on here so the rest of us can hear it?!
  10. Agree 100% REALLY good song, but I would say more of Higher/Weight than the debut/Mood.
  11. I agree. The ones you like are pretty cool (besides the weaker vocals) and I agree that "Grains Of Sand" and "Concussion" are very average at best. I rated Indestructible 71% and this album got the same score 71%. Like they are treading water these last few discs. I don't hate this band (much to the chagrin of TheRocker! Lol, I knew you liked them!!!
  12. Ha ha...the rest of that Place Vendome must be flawless cos those first few songs are about 8.5% Falling Star (my top favorite on the album), Yesterday is Gone and Helen round out the album very nicely Yesterday Is Gone could have been on the debut and my favorite of the album. Elsewhere are Falling Star, Light Before The Dark, Close To The Sun, Welcome To The Edge(odd versus, but chorus is good), and Across The Times.
  13. I like it! Yes, James may not sound as good as he used to, but I don't expect him nor would I want him to just give it up and not make new music. I don't think his voice sonds bad at all, just not what it used to be.
  14. Eclipse YES, anything with Soto NO. One can only hope they write and record all the songs and just get him to sing.... he might want to funk things up, or make it more modern etc. No, Erik writes all the stuff. So this will be a blind purchase period!
