  3. http://dkdirect.metalsludge.tv/?p=47608 BULLETBOYLESS 3/4 of the original BulletBoys (sans the singer) launch new group Lies, Deceit & Treachery Los Angeles — Hard as a rock and ready to rock. Lies, Deceit & Treachery are on the books with a debut gig in the city of sin and it’s just around the corner. The Los Angeles based band is made up of 3 original and former (founding) BulletBoys members Mick Sweda (guitar), Lonnie Vencent (bass) and Jimmy D’Anda (drums). The guys have recruited Shane Tassart as their singer. Ironic or not, but the bands name was quoted by BulletBoys singer Marq Torien exactly 1 year ago this week. Back on December 18th 2013 Torien took to social networks and stated: “The music business is Bullshit! Nothing changes, just the same ol F#9! Lies, deceit and treachery.” The singer continued with; “I love to be lied to. Especially from the ones you trust the most!” Back to LDT, according to some recent updates via the band’s official facebook - they are killing it in rehearsals. The band uploaded snippets from studio that include “Hard As A Rock” and “Hell On My Heels.” Sweda and Vencent along with Torien were part of the King Kobra revolving door back in the late 80’s. But that group eventually ran it’s course and the 3 started the BulletBoys brand with D’Anda on drums. They played a handful of Hollywood local shows and soon enough were snatched up by Warner Brothers Records. What followed was some solid success with 3 albums and scoring a big hit with “Smooth Up.” Torien has continued to tour with Bulletboys. Lies, Deceit & Treachery is set to play Las Vegas at “Vamp’d” in early January 2015. See flyer below.
  4. Way to take a dump today in Houston you fucking bum Flacco.
  5. Do I have to separate you two??
  6. This sounds great, can't wait for an album! Sounds pretty awesome.
  7. Love that tune also. And the search begins.....
  8. It is a good idea. But can you imagine trying to transcribe the lyrics from some of those wonderfully gifted singers that sound like they are singing with a mouthful of dicks?
  9. Ha, how cool is that? Good find. He's a good vocalist, but I defo prefer the new guy. And that song is way, way weaker than anything on the new album. More party kind of rock than the killer melodic rock / AOR of their current release. As for the 'Bible song,' I guess it's okay. Guy sounds a bit like Richard Black (?) from Shark Island. What's with the live footage of a Danger Danger concert in the middle of the clip too? Because I believe they opened for Danger Danger at some point.
  10. from 0dayrox2: * After over 15 years of hard work and a series of quality albums, Steve Newman has established himself as a highly respected name among the Melodic Rock / AOR fans. A lot of water has passed under the bridge since his self-titled debut back in 1997, so with the album long out of print he and his band NEWMAN have taken advantage of the advances in studio technology since them to re-record the album. So, here we are today, 2014, and NEWMAN has re-recorded their first album, offering the chance to fans not only to complete the Newman collection, but to listen to these songs in a new shape, mastered with new technology, and added bonus tracks that were written at the time of the original sessions. The material from the first album is more straight ahead in style than Neman's more recent adventurous releases. Broadly the songs fall into two categories; classic, bouncy British AOR in the mould of FM or Shy, such as on the opener "If It’s Love" which is still a live favourite to this day, "Let Your Heart Rule Your Head" and the keyboard driven "That Kind Of Girl" The other style, which will probably appeal more to present-day Newman fans, is in a series of rocking, moodier, more atmospheric pieces, notably the lush ballad "Say You Believe", "Faith" whose spacious feel shows off his deep vocal style perfectly, and the great "Tears Are Not Enough" which closed the original album. I like both styles in this new refreshed, energetic yet melodic versions. For added value the original 10 tracks on the album are accompanied by 4 bonus tracks penned at the same period but never recorded and previously unreleased. All these are really good tunes, mixing the smooth AOR melodies of mid-tempo "Crush On You" (love the keyboards), with cool riffs as heard on the bluesy rocker "Backdoor Man". "Love By Design" adds a slightly funkier feel to the rocking riff, while the elegant AOR ballad "Stand Up" reminds you of masters Strangeways. "Newman ST 2014" is Classic British AOR / Melodic Rock made with style, next to Strangeways, FM & Airrace, now re-recorded with a very good production and offering 4 good previously unreleased tracks. This is a Limited Edition, CD only release (500 copies), so hurry up, there's few still available at AOR Heaven Records. EASILY RECOMMENDED. 01. If It's Love 02. A Million Men 03. Say You Believe 04. 11. Hey Geoff...... what do you think of these guys?
  12. Come on, man. He's not that bad. The songs are awesome.
  13. Wow.... that's terrible. I like the girls on the cover but not for me.
  14. I think I'm surprised but it's getting rave reviews pretty much across the board on most music websites. Yes.... they were originally just known as A.O.K., which stood for Angels Or Kings, So it always stood for "Angels or Kings?" I'll have to watch those vids when I'm home, 'cause I'm interested in what they sounded like with their original singer. From the clips, he sounds like a better singer IMO.
  15. I'm glad we're all different. That's what make our discussions so entertaining!

  17. Check out an old video of the band when they were known as AOK: http://vimeo.com/8659092
