Man.... songs 4 through 8 and track 10 are melodic bliss! I love the whole disc with track 2 being the weakest track.

AlphaMale replied to AlphaMale's topic in General Music Discussion
I had to check. I count 22 songs with the word "rock" in them: "It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)" "Rock 'n' Roll Singer" "Rocker" "There's Gonna Be Some Rockin'" "R.I.P. (Rock in Peace)" "Let There Be Rock" "Rock 'n' Roll Damnation" "Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution" "For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)" "That's the Way I Wanna Rock 'n' Roll" "Rock Your Heart Out" "Hard as a Rock" "Whiskey on the Rocks" "Can't Stop Rock 'n' Roll" "Rock 'n' Roll Train" "She Likes Rock 'n' Roll" "Rock 'n' Roll Dream" "Rocking All the Way" "Rock or Bust" "Rock the Blues Away" "Got Some Rock & Roll Thunder" "Rock the House" -

What's a spinnin' in your CD player?
AlphaMale replied to Scandinavia's topic in General Music Discussion
Angels Or Kings "Kings Of Nowhere" What a disc!!!! -
Well, you're really not an Ac/Dc-type band fan. So I can see why Kix isn't that great in your opinion. Heh. I'm not an AC/DC fan, because I found better acts. Namely, KIX and Dirty Looks. And Rhino Bucket!!!! I never listened to Rhino Bucket. Oh man.... you HAVE to get the S/T and Get Used To It discs. Absolutely STELLAR!!! They lost me a little on their 3rd disc Pain, but overall, a great discography. And a sidenote, Brian from KIX is also lead guitarist of Rhino Bucket today. Their original guitarist (Greg Fields) is now a successful producer.

Band Names -- Better or Worse than the '80's?
AlphaMale replied to AlphaMale's topic in Music Polls and "Best of" Lists
Are they all copyrighted? I wonder if an obscure 80's band would sue a newer band for using it's unused name. Haha. And I think there were quite a few terrible band names back in the 80's also! -
Band Names -- Better or Worse than the '80's?
AlphaMale replied to AlphaMale's topic in Music Polls and "Best of" Lists
Not really. There are a lot of newer bands that have that 80's sound but just have hideous names. -
What say you? I don't think I have ever seen so many horrible band names as I have the last few years. And when I look at the thread about upcoming 2015 releases, I see even more terrible band names. So my question for everyone is...... Band Names..... are they worse now than the hard rock heydey, or do you think they are better??
-
And I totally agree about Norum. What a waste of talent. He played really shitty on that one Dokken disc also. Same fucking horrible tone.
-
And Tempest says "We really went for it this time!". Which means it could possibly be even worse than Riches To Rags.
