Oh, I'm not just saying they're in my top ten - they are - but that if the entire world was polled, I believe they'd end up in the top ten.

Firefly Just burned through this last night and today. It had been years since I last watched it.

Let us know how it went.

You buy a lot of random stuff, Oily, but I can't front on Earth, Wind & Fire. Easily one of the top ten bands that ever existed!

Haha, just reading James' comment - and what I always hate about christian discs - and then yours, maybe you're the lucky one. You get to enjoy the disc without hearing the painful christian lyrics. Which, like I said, aren't too bad on this disc, thankfully. Ugly in places, but I have heard worse. e.g.: He turned water into wine and made the blind man see He cast devils out into swine He came to set you free I guess nothing's harmful about that bro, it's just a little quote from the bible and served for theatrical purposes. Iron Maiden and other metal bands also quoted many passages from bible, like 'Number of The Beast' from Revelation. What I'm intrigued is many people do really hate Christian-lyrics songs but don't mind Satanic-lyric songs. I don't mind both as long as the music is good. I mean, it's a yin and yang, dark and light, so people ideally should be balance by hating Satanic as much as Christian, but in the metal scene, it didn't happen, and that's why bands like GHOST B.C are selling much more than STRYPER. It's like being fans of Satanic is much more cooler than Christian, why is that People hate Christians. People generally don't hate Satanists.

I want that disc by The Works. They later changed their name to Wall of Silence and went more Heavy AOR. Axe him if he's willing to sell it. ;}

Little Stories -- A New Game For Everyone

Sounds like a cool idea. But I'll need to find enough time to work it out. I'm sure Cody will be all over this, though it may be difficult to keep him writing short stories. -
You're out your damn mind, Gleonard. Heh. I'mma smack you. ;}

Okay, yeah, that one did do much for me at first, and it's still not a track I'd listen to on its own, but it fits nicely with the rest of the album. But as far as covers go, it'll never be "Shining Star."

That's very interesting. I can't for the life of me recall what Reborn was like, but Murder By Pride definitely had some great tunes. That one, however, had to grow on me. No More Hell to Pay was the first Stryper album to really grab me by the balls right off those first chords.

H.E.A.T. - Address The Nation (2 CD Tour Edition)

Yep. I'm ready for some samples. That track title--and album title, for that matter--has got me very interested. -

What are those bonus tracks like on Degreed? I didn't find them essential. One is "We Don't Belong ft. Godbrother," and is very much unnecessary.

Download it. If I like it, I track it down. If I don't like it, it's gone. Canadian laws still permit the downloading of music. -
First of all, I stay away from Greatest Hits. Usually my favourite tracks from an artist are not their hits. But, yeah, I know what you mean. I don't always understand the thought process behind it. Sometimes artists have fan-favourites that are a little different live; perhaps they want to capture the atmosphere. Some artists biggest hits are live--Peter Frampton comes to mind. But apart from that, they should always be the album or radio versions.

H.E.A.T. - Address The Nation (2 CD Tour Edition)
KarpetRydOFunk replied to Stefan's topic in AOR and Hard Rock
Heh. Yep! Right? I'm waiting 'til the end of the year before I pick up the new Reckless Love, and I just recently got Anberlin's "Devotion" which is "Vital" re-released with seven extra tracks. I rarely buy any new release on day one. Some bands you know won't do this--usually the old boys--so I just pick and choose which ones are day-one purchases, and which ones I'll wait on. This one is a perfect example; I'm so glad I didn't buy "Address the Nation" a year ago. -

Sven Gali - Tie Dyed Skies A song so nice, I played it twice. Seriously, such a great album. Was the follow-up really that bad? I might just track it down and decide for myself.
