  1. That's right, don't know to many of the brotha's that are spinning Straight To Your Heart, when they roll up next to me at the stop lights, nor have I EVER LIVED WITHIN EARSHOT RANGE OF ANY MEXICANS THAT INSTEAD OF THE FUCKING IRRITATING AND JUST PLAIN HORRIBLE CIRCUS MUSIC, ARE JAMMING Heaven Is A 4 Letter Word TO WAKE ME UP AT 7AM SUNDAY MORNINGS!! I think he's pretty accurate with this part of the statement. ***warning---off topic post to follow*** I had to laugh when I read that...when I was in x-ray school I lived in a pretty shady part of town. Right across the street from my apartment building was this house full of mexicans. Every (and I mean EVERY) Sunday morning there would be this mexican guy with a bottle sitting in his window frame (that had no window in it) singing along to his "yeh heh heh hyaaaaa..." music he had blaring from his room. Man I hated that! I still get chills when I hear that mariachi music. I love Mariachi music, and most Latino music in general.
  2. Yeah! "Raise Your Hands" has been my anthem for the last few weeks.
  3. Good news: There was a message on Twitter that their new album is finished (co-produced by James Michael)! So it's probably going to be released around November as their last two records I guess...looking forward to it! Take it to the Limit is still one of my fave albums from the last 10 years. AAN wasn't quite up to par for me, somehow I enjoyed the production of TITTL a lot more. I did actually have a sneaky look on twitter last night and probably saw the same message. Really not sure how to read twitter or what is a proper message and all that. But if I believe the message I saw, apparently this album is very different and not what you'd expect? Could be a really bad thing? Guess we'll wait and see. Country and western lol................ Actually I wouldn't be surprised if they went into that direction...and neither would I be surprised if I hated it! From what I understand AAN was a huge commercial flop wasn't it? I'm a bit worried too Geoff! If James Michael had a hand in it, I doubt it'll come out Cuntry. Maybe more modern.
  4. I don't understand. Why does that matter? Quality over quantity Yeah, but that's not an accurate comparison. File size does not denote the amount of tracks an album may have.
  5. I hate when artists say shit like this. What, so I'm some fucking twat for enjoying your music? Eat a dick!

  7. If the boys can hit the studio and jump on his album, why can't they just plug away a few more songs and release a HS album? Bastards. Anyway, this should be good.
  8. So, I just bought tix for the Journey/Loverboy/Night Ranger show in Vancouver on Dec 3. I'm actually more excited for Loverboy and Night Ranger than Journey, but it should all be good.
  9. The creepy "sci-fi" ringer on my iPhone wakes me every morning. But if you're asking what is the first song I listen to in the morning, I'd better not post often, or I'll be subject to much criticism.
  10. Hey, I couldn't pay for this even if I saved up for a decade, so I'm still bitter! The luxury of the single life, I s'pose.
  11. I live 40 mins outside of Vancouver, BC, but we hardly get any shows I'm interested in/can afford. Journey, Loverboy, and Night Ranger are coming in December. I wonder how much that will cost?
  12. Yeah, you're a bastard! As far as the "cruise" aspect goes, this years MOR Cruise was my first time on a cruise, so I don't know what to compare it with. All I know is it's the epitome of convenience: don't have to worry about travel between lodging and venue, all food is covered, drinks are reasonably priced, most of the bands are just walking about hanging out with the fans. I know you got the in with damn near everyone in the scene, but for some young punk hidden on the West Coast north of the border where the scene seems to be dead, it's an opportunity I won't get anywhere else. I can't wait. I am so f***ing jealous. This sounds like just about the best thing ever! Well... I just may be doing the cruise after all... I might be involved in a little "pre-party" deal with some pretty cool bands. If that happens I'll have a free cabin on the ship. Need a butler? How 'bout a foot stool? Wait, I'm already going. You're such a bastard. Have I said that already? I'm not prejudiced - I hate both of you equally. Lucky fuckers! Yeah, but this fucker is paying his way. Dave, ain't.

  15. Heh, fair enough. I figured that'd be the track most likely to get folks here heated. Anyway, here are a few more tracks. Hopefully, these won't inspire vandalism: Breakbot - Programme http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8Vus3F971I Foxes - White Coats http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7tfuUzK5W4 KO KO - Float http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daSEUli2jkM Reptar - Sebastian http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8j5AhFzxdyY Okay, here are two that may incite a riot: Jackson 5 - Dancing Machine (Gigamesh Remix) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxeYb-TsCWA The Knocks - R.O.Y.L. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lqe9YFuVU4w
  16. Any thoughts on doing some type of Retrospect concert/festival in Las Vegas? It's a heckuva lot easier for most people to get to Vegas than it is to get to Oklahoma. 'Tis true. Flights are always cheap to Vegas.
  17. I got my tickets. Any of you ladies and/or gentlmen planning to attend?
  18. I always seem to leave you guys for the summer. I think it's because I DJ a lot of dances, house parties, BBQs, and other functions this time of year, so I'm usually balls deep Pop music. My passion for music doesn't stop at Hard Rock. I try to stay on top of everything, which is no easy feat. My trick is I stay away from that Top 40 shit. Heh. Anyway, I thought I would share some of the good stuff I've discovered this year. Bear with me: Earth, Wind & Fire - Guiding Lights http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFuaeSLU4AU Fort Lean - Sunsick http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEvHJSpQK_A Ghost Beach - Miracle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MKwM-7Y1Zk Gigamesh - Burnin' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9c3nkNjot8 Niki & the Dove - Mother Protect http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XojSSa0jwxU Wildcat! Wildcat! - Mr. Quiche http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4NIA6s8Wk8 Wildcat! Wildcat! - End of the World Everyday http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJ8t96CfsJU
  19. Prometheus - Yep. Go watch it. It's Ridley Scott. Nothing more to say.
  20. Yes! My favourite thread has resurfaced. You guys are hilarious! I love your wives. They make your lives interesting for me. I can't wait to see how this plays out.
  21. Well said Duuuuuuude Dudes... I hope you can keep this thread on track now... Most definitely not. We're so off-track, it's probably best we abandon this entirely. See you in the next thread, boys.
  22. Blackfoot??? No. The Chicken variety. Cool!!! Black Stone Cherry opened, which was a nice surprise. They were great. Now I'm just waiting for the 'Foot to hit the stage. Oh, here we go.
  23. Blackfoot??? No. The Chicken variety.
