ASPHALT BALLET - PIGS (1993) Originally never gave this one a fair shake and hated it...mainly because Gary Jeffries was no longer the singer.When I actually gave it a fair listen I really dug this one - pretty solid stuff.Kinda sounds like a lost GnR record.

Billy Duffy has always been one underrated-kick-ass guitar player.... Faves: ELECTRIC SONIC TEMPLE LOVE CEREMONY BEYOND GOOD AND EVIL IMO,you can't go wrong w/ any of these...

Faves: 'Creatures'...'Lick It Up....'Animalize' & 'Revenge'

The only true turd in the Dokken' catalog is 'Shadowlife'.... Best non-Lynch records: LIGHTNING STRIKES AGAIN ERASE THE SLATE BROKEN BONES

Pantera' = Zzzzzz... TBH the only record I've ever liked from this band was 'Power Metal' mainly because I prefer the traditional heavy metal style...to the loudmouth-ultra-OTT heavy style they adopted going forward.

It's not bad for what it is...I like the tune,but it sure as hell ain't 'Leatherwolf'.....just because you can scream at the end of every freaking line doesn't make you a great singer.Olivieri's vox have always been the signature of this band.That said i'll probably pick this up if for anything then Geoff Gayer's guitar playing.

I completely understand why 'Geoff' feels like he does.The whole over-reaction to the Covid down there was mind-blowing.Whenever I see a person or people start losing their freedoms and the ensuing government overreach....I wanna tear someone's throat out.Once you start losing your civil liberties and freedoms it can often be d@mn near impossible to ever get them back - outside of major revolution.

Not a huge fan,but respect the talent.I've always thought that the guy has always done a solid job promoting his brand (Stryper) certainly a lot better then a lot of the other Christian metal bands (and yeah I know he doesn't consider Stryper a Christian metal band - but it goes with the territory whether he likes it or not) 'Barren Cross' and 'Saint'...are a couple bands I still support when active,although neither had anywhere near the success Sweet and Co. had.Great bands nonetheless...

Got a digi-crap the other day and the d@mn thing was bent-to hell on the edges and the spindle spokes were broken Lucky me !

The thread isn't even a year old...…158 is a lot. Don't use YT,Facebook,Twitter etc...don't have time to watch political videos and I've never posted one on HH.Don't need to post videos or links to make a point.Not slagging those do - that's their prerogative.Outside an occasional meme,not much else for me. Also have never posted a political topic at HH..i'm swearing most of the political sh!t off as I've completely had it w/ the endless,unproductive arguing and other assorted stupidity.Politics has it's place in the Flamefest for those that want it.

Cannot believe there isn't more love for 'Saxon' at HH...they've always checked most of the boxes for what is fine metal band.'Carpe Diem' is no exception- good solid record throughout!
