  1. I'm not sure, for me its more that just the original members not being there, anyone can copy the bands sound to a certain degree, but for me its also the songwriting side of things...these original guys wrote the tracks I grew up on...not the soundalikes...what will their original output sound like or do they simply continue on playing like a glorified cover band and never done anything of their own...and if they do write anything of their own and its shit...do they break up/go back to the covers/change band members etc? Its definately a strange one.
  2. Have loved in since its release, brilliant album,so may great tunes...as pointed out its like Foreigner but with an edge.
  3. I see that they're releasing a couple of Britny Fox on 10th September..pity that Bite Down Hard isn't one would love their treatment on that one, also a couple of Loverboy discs on that release schedule.
  4. Yeah, been a long time,we took my youngest to see Space Jam A New Legacy 2 weeks ago on a wee mini break away and it was the first time i'd been in a cinema since December '19 when watching The Rise Of Skywalker. So a little bit of normality slowly creeping back,we still operate at 1/3 capacity and when you book seats those around you 3 to each side automatically lock to allow distancing.
  5. Went to the cinema today and watched The Suicide Squad, really enjoyed it and for me ,better than the first which I enjoyed,Stallone is excellent as the Shark King...numbnumb Tonight we got Jungle Cruise from Disney+ for us all to watch, saved a fortune by doing that instead of individual tickets at the flicks and my boys can now watch it when they want(handy over summer),really good, enjoyed it a lot,a sort of cross between Indiana Jones & Pirates Of The Caribbean.
  6. Jeez...3 albums in as many years! not that I'm complaining
  7. Shocked...such sad news.. R.I.P Dusty Tres Hombres blast tonight
  8. Spektra - Overload Cruzh - Tropical Thunder Blood Red Saints - Undisputed
  9. My last purchase of the day to arrive, well pleased with this, everything they've released i've been a fan of...pretty solid band, and this is no exception...nice big beat to everything...but after my first couple of listens production seems muddled...more listens needed though to give tunes a better listen
  10. Another I received today,it is actually better than id expected if that makes sense? Playing it through as a cd makes the songs sound more gelled and makes it run along smoother than I thought it would given my opinion on the already released tracks..still wish they'd have gone for a grittier singer though...woulda made this sound better for me.
  11. Received this today, its an absolute cracker, for me not a bad tune on it for my ears..it has JSS all over it..could be almost a release of his..the sound , the vocals, the music all has his stamp and the band sounds great...love it.
  12. Yes, I know what you mean,we will notice the difference but future generations perhaps won't,and lets face it they ain't getting any younger but their bands will always remain somewhat relevant if the band remain touring/recording etc without the original members Although I seen Thin Lizzy about 30 years ago with only Eric Bell as an original member and they were shit...only able to play from the first couple of albums that he played on...half the crowd walked out after requesting he play certain songs and kept getting told no,that was sad because I seen em Feb '82 in Belfast as a kid with Sweet Savage in support and it was brilliant
  13. Got this today from the band, sounds really good, not amazing but really enjoyable, I do think though that I prefer the vocals from Open Wide though. Favourite tunes so far are "You Think You've Got It" ,"Big City Lights" ,"Addicted" & "Edge Of Surrender" and there a few ballads like "Why Can't You Feel My Love" & "Lay Down Your Arms" just an enjoyable disc for my tastes.
  14. Yeah I know what you mean ,but didn't Paul Stanley say in an interview recently that he'd like KISS to continue without he and Gene when they're done so that the band goes on...Coverdale must be thinking the same thing? So in 15/20 years we'll still have Kiss & Whitesnake touring to a whole new generation I'm interested too at the Frontiers side of things..are Whitesnake still releasing with them? The last few studio have been with them but the recent Blues album etc have been through Rhino/Warner and we all know about the Jelusick/Frontiers situation...hmm
  15. Bit Of Interesting news... Whitesnake add singer Dino Jelusick to line-up Big news in the Whitesnake camp as former Animal Drive frontman Dino Jelusick is now a part of the legendary band. It is not exactly clear in what capacity that Jelusick will be in the group but one assumes that he will be sharing the lead vocal duties with long-time frontman and band founder David Coverdale. Jelusick will be taking part in Whitesnake‘s upcoming The Farewell Tour MMXXII. The following message was posted on Jelusick‘s Facebook page earlier today: “I am beyond honoured to be part of one of my favourite bands of all time. To get the phone call from David Coverdale is something every singer and musician of my generation can only dream of, it still feels completely surreal. I cannot wait to start hitting the road with Whitesnake and as the great DC said to me himself, to give a piece of my identity to the sound of this iconic band.” Whitesnake‘s website indicates in part: “I am absolutely delighted to welcome the extremely gifted DINO JELUSICK to Whitesnake. We’ve had our eyes & ears on him since we played Zagreb together 2 years ago. You’re going to love him!” – David Coverdale Dino Jelusick is a singer/multi-instrumentalist from Croatia. He is a member of multi platinum selling band Trans-Siberian Orchestra and was previously part of Dirty Shirley (with George Lynch), Animal Drive and recorded with many others. Dino has been singing, touring and recording since the age of 5. Other than being a frontman, his main instrument are keyboards but he also plays bass, guitar and drums. He finished music academy and did theatre work.” In terms of the dispute between Italian record label Frontiers Music Srl and Jelusick where the former alleges that it contractually has the rights to the exclusive services of the latter for recordings, Whitesnake did release their last two studio albums Forevermore and Flesh & Blood via Frontiers Music Srl. Although this is pure speculation on the part of Sleaze Roxx, one could see Jelusick helping Coverdale with the singing duties on Whitesnake‘s upcoming The Farewell Tour MMXXII and getting groomed to perhaps replace Coverdale in Whitesnake after that tour.
  16. Another for the list of purchases for me
  17. Yeah the talent & potential is definitely there..I just expected more from this if i'm being honest, still it isnt a bad release by any means...adequate really sums it up...which in turn could be construed as disappointing given my hopes for these guys.
  18. Happy days, looking forward to this nice suprise release
  19. Yeah unpopular but each to their own I suppose,if its not for you its not for you..but for some of us it is
