Debut album is still their best album

Nice...such a groove...reminds me of Mr.Jones...which is of course a good thing

Got this today and my initial reaction after one spin through is of disappointment, I'm a huge Leppard fan and have been waiting for something worthy of the past..oh yes there have been songs here and there but album wise not a shade on their former self...this sounds like a mixture of everything since Slang (the track "Unbreakable" pretty much uses the track Slang's guitar riff ) all rolled into one and recycled to me(stuff that sounds like it was from Euphoria, X and even SFTSL)..maybe i'm wrong and after a few more spins will change my mind...for me the tempo just isn't there..it seems to plod along...again with more spins I may change my mind...for me the track "Liquid Dust" is not great and could have easily been left off along with maybe the last 3 tracks on the album, "This Guitar" is ok for what it is(good for a collab but not for a leppard album)..but is it really what Leppard think fans want hear? I think I read somewhere that they made this album for themselves so maybe that hits the nail on the head right there...the three singles are good as is "SOS Emergency"...probably my fav track thus far and remember its one spin in is "Gimme A Kiss That Rocks"...a simple straight ahead party rock track.

Belters mate I used to pick discs(sometimes Cassettes) like this up purely on seeing the cover and song titles...Kerrang had a good helping hand or Hit Parader that my local news agent stocked on import was like a gift from the gods for my music of choice

Debut Ten for me...although Babylon does come close...totally agree with the Steelheart & Lynch Mob debuts but Tangled In Reins would give the debut a run for its money...self titled Lynch Mob good but not even close to WS...one of my favourite albums ever. -
Yeah that is quite good now

Still liking this album..different...but they'd already tried material like this with stuff like "Back To Paradise" from their debut 12 years ago?

Thats not bad...long way removed from Master Of The Universe stuff but he's quite good at this feelgood 80's summer type stuff

Forgotten Hard Rock Albums: ROXXI - "Drive It To Ya Hard"
lettard replied to AlphaMale's topic in AOR and Hard Rock
Yeah very good cd,as Glen said a little on the short side but for an indie its very very good, actually picked this up by contacting the singer Freddy years ago to see if they had any for sale and he did which was excellent(sent it and signed it), I actually did the same to get the Kid Cyote cd from Donny Taylor around the same time and that worked out also (came signed by the band plus he signed the cover & inside again to me ) this was of course before the postal service started to bog the arm in) nice guys and good memories -
Love this album

Great album runs of 5 or more in a row
lettard replied to auslander's topic in General Music Discussion
Yeah that is hard to argue with right there...from a personal point of view id even add Too Hot To Sleep onto Survivor & Unusual Heat onto Foreigner...but I know not everyone is a fan of those releases...i'd probably drop Ozzmosis as it doesnt for me hold a candle to those other Ozzy releases...but solid choices indeed. -
I like it,not as good as the other two (and the three released are the first three from the running order of the cd) still though im looking forward to the album
