  1. Thom's also good friends with the keyboard player from Defcon, a certain Mr Guzman, yes the one who released his own version of the Defcon album. I wonder if the two will get together & record an AOR album or two?
  2. that reminds me my one pet peeve in buying from his ebay auctions, cds are sent with out jewel cases despite paying the correct postage to include jewle cases. also years ago, I won a cd he sold as an original cd only to get a cdr, he did email me regarding this the last time his name was raised here on HH but never got a response back to my offer. when you are ready ryan
  3. I love formulaic pop, when my aor friends are away, I can be heard playing those 80's madonna & kylie minoque releases, now I don't own thse cds as they belong to my girl.
  4. rockcityaor aka richie is a very reliable ebay seller from Melbourne Australia. Unsure if he is a member here but he is somewhat well known in the aor scene as a big time collector & seller. hope that helps.
  5. time to bring out a new album Mr Bonrud.
  6. I have bought the following 3 releases from Retro Records something wild - s/t street toyz - some assembly required stratosphere - the opening The guy I deal with is a real cool person. The CDs are very much in the style of Sam's Retropsect releases. I am a fan of the music so I won't say anything about the CDRs.
  7. I thought wolfe records only released 3 titles on CD, ivory tower, fun house & another band who's name escapes me. what else is there?
  8. please reissue with bonus tracks, dvd extras the rose tattoo euro imports are a fine example set. what a band!! fierceheart's gotta be the reissue of the year from an aor angle, almost say forget the rest
  9. Not sure about the 'everyone wants' part, but these 3 CDs have eluded me for quite some time and appear to be harder to find than a pork-chop at a Muslim convention: ROMEOS TEARZ: "After Dark" PARADISE: "Prime Cut" KIDD SKRUFF: "Angels With Dirty Faces" Almost had the Romeos Tearz once, then the seller got a better offer and bolted without so much as a 'fare thee well.' The Paradise I've only seen once, on eBay, and it went for a small fortune that probably could've cleared up the gross national debt of some third world country. I know Jim (Patton) has the Kidd Skruff, but he's the only one I'm aware of, and extensive searching on my part has yielded exactly zilch. So, yeah, those be some elusive mothers... jlprocks won the paradise - prime cut cd on ebay if I recall correctly. romeos tearz went for small change on ebay recently. both are great cds!!! whats kidd skruff like?
  10. I am certain one of the Illusion CDs recieved an official CD pressing. If not, perhaps the people in reissues should look into releasing both Illusion albums on CD
  11. Sorry to hear of your loss Stormspell, thanks for the warning on the lousy seller.
  12. Keel, Mariah & Defcon in Australia, wow, guys just play in Melbourne
  13. I think the warren bros did a CD for BMG during the late 90's, can anyone confirm this?
  14. I WHOLEHEARTED AGREE WITH YOU & BELIEVE ME I AM DOING EVERYTHING I CAN TO GET EVERY RETROSPECT CD ISSUED. They are fabbulous!!! I am also aware of an Australian independant label called Suncity records who are releasing obscure stuff. It is fantastic that we the hardcore fans of obscure AOR / melodic Rock have atleast 2 fantastic labels to count on to build our collections. Keep up the good work guys
  15. anymore troubles with this mob, they've come through real quick with my dealings. I think they may have another stall at the Firefest festival.
  16. Hello Bernd the Casanova - s/t CD is one of my all time favourites, it is flawless Melodic Hard Rock.
  17. Tyketto , without a doubt. Tyketto , without a doubt, number 1. From the inside is pretty cool too!!!!!!1
  18. I thought (according to the linear notes from memory) that the initial cd included all the tracks the band had recorded. Ditto till I saw the band's ebay auction site mentioning of a possible chance of another Penny Lane anthology if sales of volume 1 went well. Considering only 1000 CDs were pressed of volume 1 I find it odd Penny Lane would release a volume 2 based on sales.
  19. what an awesome band Peny Lane were, whatever became of the promise to release a volume 2 of the Anthology?
