This is great Christian westcoast AOR featuring guitarist Dann Huff. This will also mark the birth and first releases of another subsidiary of Retrospect called "RetroCross" Records -- focusing on Christian AOR re-issues. TRACER FOX -- An amazing Hair Metal band from Vegas who frequented the Sunset Strip in the 80's and early 90's -- we will be issuing their previously unreleased recordings, produced by John and Dino Elefante, on CD for the first time ever. NOWHERE DREAMER -- Awesome 80's / early 90's melodic hard rock band from Phoenix. FRONTLINE -- This fantastic westcoast AOR band from San Francisco were very active between 1983 and 1993 and recorded some of the finest music i have ever heard - most of which was never released. MATA HARI -- We are wrapping up this Double CD set (a studio and a live side) for release very soon. Killer melodic metal with a progressive flair featuring guitar virtuoso Greg Millikan!! 2. thanks alot for the props guys -- we really do try to ensure the best customer service because we want to build a solid reputation and a trust with every individual buyer -- we are thrilled and humbled that anyone out there, especially during these times, would lay down their hard earned cash for each and every release we put out. we need you and the bands need you and we represent these bands which is something we don't take lightly -- every buyer is instrumental in supporting each band on the Retrospect label. These artists are finally getting paid back for the all the hard work and money they put into their recordings many years ago and they are ecstatic -- this is the most rewarding thing i have ever been a part of! Again, thanks alot everyone for giving us a chance!! Aaron www.retrospectrecords.com p.s. check out our new releases and/or re-issues by Freakshow, Scram, Vendetta, Powerglide and many more!!!
  3. Yes , that is correct! We are releasing a full length CD with pretty much everything Mata Hari (Indiana) ever recorded including everything on Hypnotic Symphony. Amazing melodic progressive metal featuring the jaw dropping talents of guitarist Greg Millikan! They are also talking about reunion shows. I am right in the midst of remastering it all and including rare live tracks that were never recorded in the studio. Very cool stuff!! Look for that release in about 6 weeks. thanks! Aaron
  4. hey Guys, i personally know of 2 Mata Hari's -- one of which Retrospect Records is about to release all their material -- this is the one from Indiana that recorded the Hypnotic Symphony demo and they are more progressive metal in the Queensryche / Fates Warning style, whereas the other one that i am talking to, and will soon be releasing THEIR material are from North Dakota / Minnesota. They are more straight ahead 80's melodic hard rock. You can find them at these myspaces: www.myspace.com/stimulusengine www.myspace.com/mataharifargo I hope this helps! Aaron
  5. Hey Rock! I personally remastered the CD and think it sounds WAY better than the original -- but thats my humble opinion! Would be interested to know what people think of my remastering job.... Rock On, Retrospect's Recordjnky
  6. Well, i am looking into getting more tracks for this release - will let you know what i find out! thanks! Aaron www.myspace.com/aaronlinn www.retrospectrecords.com
  7. Not to take away from my brother Sam but i am actually playing a huge role now in the Retrospect label and i am responsible for most of those signings / releases! And thanks to LVKIX (Dave) for hooking me up with several of those bands. You rock dude, and keep em coming!! I am so excited about all these releases and the bands are over the moon. I can't believe how rewarding this all is. I would be very interested in getting some feedback about these releases once they are out there. Rockin Regards to all! Aaron the Recordjnky
  8. This outta be good.... Actually, that was pretty funny!! LOL Yeah.... but you're easily amused Well, he could have changed it to "emperor of the known universe" but that was taken.
  9. Now i know why some animals eat their young.
  10. i think it could be me as i have been playing in country bands for the past 15 years. Right now i am in the house band at Toby Keiths bar in Harrahs in Vegas. But i was never a big fan of the old crap like Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Ray Price, Kris Kristofferson or Johnny Cash. Just not my thing although i can appreciate it. AOR is my first love which is why i love newer country bands like Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Emerson Drive, Dierks Bentley - not to mention all those great country vocal bands that came out in the 80s and 90s that were/are borderline AOR. Peace out, Recordjnky
  11. just a heads up that my auctions are going out soon so check them out asap! My CD auctions buy something! Peace Out Recordjnky
  12. yeah apparently it was an idea generated by the same guy behind the Village People. And as cheezy as this album looks - don't let it fool you -- the music is fantastic!! The singer is unreal. Go to Youtube.com and type in All Sports Band Jet Set and you will see a video of them. Peace Out. Recordjnky
  13. hey hey, leave out the "country crap" comments. Ain't nothing wrong with some rockin country music!! Remember AOR king Dann Huff himself is producing and playing on alot of country cd's these days, including Keith Urban, who can rock on guitar with the best of em. I hear more and more AOR stylings in country today than in any other American music. Look at all the ex-L.A. session musicians and 80s rockers who are now playing on country albums and touring with country artists or have turned to country artists themselves. Why is that a "bad" thing? I respect it. I particularly respect my friend Ron Keel who excels in country music and has a true love and passion in performing it. He is multi-faceted - and something he is not ashamed of. Good for him!! I think its amazing how a guy can do Ronnie Dunn one night and scream like hell on old Keel favorites the next night. I find people very closed minded and somewhat ignorant and certainly doing a disservice to themselves when they slam one kind of music and generalize and say things like "oh its all crap". Well i enjoy just about EVERY kind of music and i can certainly appreciate talent in ALL kinds of music because i know there are good and bad musicians in all music. I think different styles of music are there for different moods, to draw out different emotions. New age, folk, classical, disco, heavy metal, country, bluegrass, jazz, blues -- they all have a place in our emotions and rat race lives. To each his own, but i will say this, by completely eliminating a style of music is missing out on a feeling, an emotion, an experience that that particular music inspires and evokes. Who was it that said "Free Your Mind!!"? Theres a hell of a lot of music out there -- go try some different flavors!! It can be rewarding!! Peace out and rockin' regards to ALL! The Recordjnky
  14. thanks for all the kind words everybody. These are tough times! i appreciate all your generosity, God bless us all, Aaron (recordjnky)
  15. damn and i thought i was king of the pricks....someone has usurped my throne!!!
  16. isn't her husbands name Dieter? i met him here in Las Vegas several years ago when i was working in a record store. He came in looking for all the rare aor and hard rock -- which i had already snatched up. Then some lady came in with a sealed longbox of Craaft s/t and he bought from her on the spot! Lol!
  17. Aaron, first off- you don't know me. Don't assume you ever will. You can play the Jesus card all you want to make yourself look self-righteous, but you're about the furthest thing from a Christian when you make unwarranted personal attacks on my character. It's really the cheapest and last resort for anyone who can't find a way to professionally/maturely dispute the claims against them. Hitting below the belt is what your brother did last year when he spouted some nonsense about my worthiness as a new father. I see those sort of low blows run in the McAslin family, right alongside immaturity, deception and outright self-delusion. If you want "arrogant" and "narcissistic", look no further than your brother's recent post: "I warned you not to fuck with me and now you're going to see what real power is". That's powermad, Lex Luthor/Darth Sidious shit. I am still waiting for scorching laser beams to come out of his fingertips. Tony, your post says it all and proves my point to a T. From what i read in your many callous, distasteful posts [to me they are distasteful and mind bogglingly self glorifying - but thats just my opinion] is enough to know that i don't want to ever know you. I make it a point not to associate with your types as they cause me to stumble and the Bible teaches me otherwise. I find it so hilarious when hedonists, pagans and non-believers think they know exactly how a Christian SHOULD be. Personal attacks? - coming from the King of personal attacks - i would view that as dangerously hypocritical? Jesus is no card to play, He is the real deal. and self-righteous? Anyone who has any clue as to what a true Christian is - knows that we are followers of Christ - who by the way is not self-righteous but came as a servant and was the humblest person to walk the earth. Well, I know you just have to have that LAST WORD on everything - so i guess i'll be waiting to see what ingenius Einstein comeback you'll have for this post.... C'mon Tony - let me have it!!
  18. Tony, its no secret, i am not your biggest fan. and not because of your ongoing feud with RR (which i am not affiliated). I get along with just about everyone, especially here on HH and everywhere else for that matter. I don't post much, and for a reason. But, in my worthless opinion, you seem to be one of the most arrogant narcissistic unlikable people around. I just can't pick out any qualities (which i have actually seen/heard) that would classify you as a human being with a heart. Just about everything you have ever said has rubbed me the wrong way and has said much about your character, not that you, me or anyone else cares. But dude, you are not doing yourself any favors. i thank Jesus i am a Christian (by the grace of God) otherwise i think i might actually say something ugly! read a Good Book, Tony.
  19. Holy Toledo, Koogs - let us bow down to the almighty CD selling KING!! What a guy!! You're my hero - when i grow up i wanna be JUST LIKE YOU!! I sent a chocolate chip cookie via USPS today for ya!!
  20. i keep getting questions submitted through ebay concerning the items i have listed this week, from the same email address but the first email claimed they were in Hawaii and this new one claims they are in Italy. The email address is UseTheYellowButton@ebay.com but the ebay user names are different.... this is VERY strange. I have dealt with this email address before , several months ago, and if i am correct , the outcome was not good. I think i also received some fraud mail from this email addy thru ebay too. Can anyone shed light on this??? Hugely appreciated, Recordjnky
  21. Yes i suppose i could do that. But why be your puppet? I don't care enough to know if he really did rip off Sweet Teaze. It has nothing to do with me - I have my own business to tend to. If he wants to respond to any allegations then why don't you email him about it? Perhaps he will answer....
