gimmie a break, whether or not Sam is my brother makes no difference, i know what he is doing and what he's got and what some of you people's intentions are -- i can go back through hundreds of posts and see whats going on and work out your personalities amongst some of you -- but i sincerely hope you people would defend YOUR brothers and sisters should they be under unwarranted attacks REGARDLESS of whether you think they are saints or not -- which by the way he's far from it. But it just gets so old -- all the BS that goes on amongst the message boards on this site!! which is why i avoided them for so long. What nauseates me is the clearly jealous and snidy comments that are so obviously directed towards what Sam is doing and his legit label. the fact that Koogles isn't blunt and is more snidy about what he is saying makes it worse. note to metalmaniac: may i respectfully ask you to please not call me your friend... you don't know me and i don't know you so don't make assumptions that we are buddies. and koogles - your next comment about "if the boots fit" -- man, does it ever end with you?? leave it alone. with the incessant BS that goes on here, its no wonder that HH is rolling downhill with the amount of attitude problems. i knew i should have heeded various warnings....

Hello , well I expected to see some skepticism , second-guessing , speculation and downright lies coming from the infamous Heavy Hypocrites site. recordjnky, there's a few people on hh who have spoken to the guys in friction and tell me which one of them gave sam approval for the reissue? did sam repress the friction cd from the master or a cdr? i know more about this than you think but i hope i am wrong. i'd love to see a legit reissue but sam's reissue is proving otherwise and has tarnished the retrospect records name forever <{POST_SNAPBACK}> David, for someone who has taken in a bunch of advance money for apparent cd's that still have not seen the light of day, i think its a bit rich for you to say the Retrospect label has been tarnished -- i think you need to worry about keeping your Suncity label from being untarnished.....

Well i can tell you guys this much -- talking with Sam , he is letting me know that there are certain folks here at HH that he could give a "f**k less if they ever get a hold of his Retrospect label discs" - so some of you here on HH [and you know who you are] , i wouldn't count on ever being able to purchase any of these mega rarities directly from Sam or his website. Ain't gonna happen. I guess thats the beauty of owning your own business / label -- you sell your product how you want to who you want. If you don't like the way Sam runs his label and business ethics then move on and take your money elsewhere. Right now Sam is starting off his auctions at 99 cents so you COULD actually get the cd BELOW COST. He is offering that chance - which to me is an even better deal than doing $14.99 BIN's. I know Sam is doing some trial runs right now on his first pressings and doing what he can to recoop his initial costs but eventually i am sure the majority of these discs will be available for purchase thru the Retrospect website in a few months once all of the cd's are in. These cd's are NOT being pressed in Russia [contrary to K.S.'s belief] and some of these recordings are even being remastered for superior sound quality!! I knew it wouldn't take long before a thread would be run on Sam's label here on HH and the sour grapes just grow rampant here - which i expected. Nuff said for now.....

Hi, just a quick update on the RETROSPECT label and my brother's involvement in the company. Sam has in fact bought out the label and is president of it. He is scheduling to release over 100 of the rarest AOR, hard rock and metal cd's in these first 3 months with many many more to come. Some of these will no doubt be very limited edition pressings and will only be exclusively available thru him. Although I will possibly be listing some of these in my ebay auctions in the future also. Some of the titles will literally blow you away as some of these have never ever been released on cd before and some you would never thought you would see on cd again!! This is the beginning of something very exciting -- and will allow rock and metal fans worldwide to hear some of this rare awesome music for the first time. On a side note I hope to be doing some other rare AOR re-releases in the near future including stuff like All Sports Band, American Noise, Avion and others... Keep it rockin'!! yeah, he probably changed his ebay name because alot of people would bid up the cd's he was bidding on and make him pay alot for them. It would have been real easy to have someone do some shill bidding on him. He was paying some unreal prices for stuff , i was going thru some of my old auction submit records and alot my highest prices was for stuff he bid on [e.g. Danny Peck s/t for $43.50!!]. He always paid though. I remember his address was some kind of business address and i wondered if he owned that business which is where he got all the money to buy all these cd's from. Does anyone else remember this ebayer who used to buy thousands of AOR and Hard Rock titles back in 1999 and 2000?? This guy was one of my best customers and would pay outrageous prices for cd's. You could put AOR on a Barry White cd and he would buy it!! He must have a HUGE collection because he was buying AND paying for tons and tons of cd's!! So my question for everyone is -- do any of you remember him and whatever happened to this guy?? He could possibly have the largest CD collection in the world!! Recordjnky --ISA.38:20--

You are right on the money KING. Appreciate your post. I couldn't agree with you more. I also believe it should be all about the music. Just my worthless 2 cents, but sometimes we tend to look more at the $$ amount of a cd [or our entire cd collections] than the actual music content. I believe an artist would rather sell 100 cd's to 100 different people for $1 each than sell 1 cd for $100 to 1 person. Thats 100 new fans over 1 new fan. Makes sense doesn't it? WOW, me and Sam handle things way different , but i'll be honest with all of you, i don't find his comments any less mature or any more offensive than the majority of attitudes and comments that permeate this post. Is this the kind of site you are proud of Dan? Funny how we all apparently like the same style of music yet there is no real unity. There is more tearing down than building up. Its not cool , and it explains why i don't frequent this site often. I certainly don't want to come across as self righteous or pompous, not at all, i am sure all of you have far more insight into cd's . music and collecting than i do. all i can say is that you guys are unbelievable. you just can't wait to see people fail. you seem to thrive on turmoil. its not cool. i know whats going on with my brother right now and even though we don't see eye to eye on some things i will simply put that he is far from being permanently terminated from ebay. he will be back very soon, selling all the great titles [and then some] that he does and getting great music into appreciative hands. i don't post very often on this site because i don't want some people confusing me with Sam, i try to stay silent and neutral on most things, but i felt it was time to pipe up. Sam has an amazing willpower, drive and love for the music , he's definitely one person you just can't keep down for very long. There's just far too much good music out there that needs to be put in the right hands for many to enjoy - and thats one thing me and Sam have in common. I know how i feel when someone turns me on to a fantastic band that i have never heard of before -- no matter how obscure or common. Perhaps it was something i had overlooked many many times and then finally actually listened to it. Its a great feeling. Aural heaven! Just let it be, folks.... Sam and others like him are providing a great service to the music and to the people worldwide, hungry for the lost, overlooked and forgotten music gems in the metal, hard rock and AOR genres. So anyways, i didn't have a problem with this seller claiming fraud or claiming he never received it. However , after going back thru my paypal records , [yes his screen name is PXPSI] i found his name and address: Y-C LIANG, Darwin College, Cambridge, CB3 9EU, United Kingdom. i hope everyone has blocked this bidder from any further purchases on ebay. i wish everyone the best!
