  1. And to you i say thats the pot calling the kettle black. Give it up , peck, you ain't gonna win - perhaps you have forgotten that Sam is my brother so of course i am gonna find out some info in passing - either way, i got my own thing going on so i am not really that interested in whats happening with RR. But it doesn't take a microscope and a fine tooth comb to see you and your elitist anti-RR camp's agenda. And its just plain ugly.
  2. Well, I'd rather be on MY side of the law than on Sam's. It's YOU that gave me the title of police chief. But the real question is: can you afford to bail your brother out when the long arm of the law drags Sammy, kicking and screaming like a 6-year old child, off to a cold, dark jail to meet his 250-pound, tattoo-wearing cell mate named Bubba??!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Its gonna suck for you when you finally wake up and realise that Sam's business continues to prosper. Apparently (and this is NOT officially coming from the "Retrospect camp" because i do not represent RR - remember?) his sales are increasing day by day. And i don't see crap happening on the "legal" front either. So it seems all attempts to bring him down are fruitless and pointless.
  3. I don't know many of the facts so why speculate like most of the haters in here. And for the 100th time i am not from the "Retrospect camp". The Shite stirring is whats getting old. Move on already.
  4. You take the 5th, stating you have absolutely nothing to do with Retrospect, yet last year you were the one advertising his auctions, plugging upcoming Retrospect releases and posting your brother's responses. Doesn't sound like someone who should be (wisely) distancing himself from RR to me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> hey Peck, that doesn't mean i run or work for his company , i was just doing him a favor at the time. Have i done it since? No. But if i choose to, then i will - he or Retrospect certainly have not offended ME in any way. Why do you think the world should all think like Koogles and bow down to the ebay / record label / international CD sales police chief?
  5. i don't what you are talking about concerning "defending" Sams return / guarantee policy -- there is nothing to defend - its his policy and many overlook it. i am stating what simply is. as far as other issues go, i do not work for or represent Retrospect Records so i do not speak on behalf of them. i have my opinions and so do all of you. Whether i choose to voice my opinions is up to me - but i have found that it is usually a waste of time in this forum. the bottom line is , and the FACT remains that there are the select few here that have it out for Sam and anything he has his name on. Whatever he does , there are those who will find fault and condemn him and bash him and always try and one up him, regardless of how little they actually truly know about each situation. Screw that, i don't want anything to do with people like that. What a load of bollocks... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I find it ironic that Sam and his army of sycophants are quick to defend him and pop off BEFORE the Sweet Teaze incident, but NOW when they should be clamoring the loudest in his defense, are quieter than a Habs fan after a 9-0 Leafs win. (Sorry Dave! ) Secondly, the whole bragging-about-the-fine-Retrospect-return/guarantee issue reminds me of an old Chris Rock bit. "You know the worst thing about n****s? N****s always want some credit for some shit they supposed to do. For some shit they just supposed to do: A n***a will brag about some shit a normal man just does. A n***a will say some shit like, "I take care of my kids." You're supposed to, you dumb mothafucka. What are you talkin' about? What are you braggin' about? What kind of ignorant shit is that? "I ain't never been to jail." What do you want, a cookie? You're not supposed to go to jail you low expectation having mothafucka." Rock on, Mr. Rock!!! I love that guy!!!! But my point is- Retrospect, like ANY normal, legitimate business, should have a return/guarantee policy anyway. LV KIX, I don't know where you get off saying: "Besides, if Sam did accept the return everyone would be so dissappointed." It should not be a matter of choice. He should accept the return as just a matter of good business ethics. And no, we wouldn't be disappointed. From my perspective, it's not about seeing Sam fail or lose, it's about seeing collectors win, bands who are signed to his label win and everyone out there aware of what they're getting BEFORE they send their money to Vegas. Christ, don't people gamble and lose enough money already in Vegas???? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So i take it you are assuming the ebay / record label / international CD sales police chief role? and last i checked, i didn't see Christ logged on... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> As usual, you miss the point, dodge the issues and wear the clown suit. Where was this Fisher-Price wit and Playskool retort when the Sweet Teaze allegations came down? Apparently, the ostrich buries its head in the sand for the lawyers... but not for the "ebay sales police chief", as you call me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> i have absolutely nothing to do with retrospect so why would i comment on an issue of THEIRS that i know nothing about? at least i know when to shut up [take a hint, peck]. and as far as the police chief thing goes...if the cap fits Bozo.

  7. thanks for proving the point i made earlier about a select few repugnants who will do anything and everything to bash Sam. They even follow him around different message boards like bad smells. Unbelievable, tiring and very nauseating. Get a life, pecks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Who is following who? I posted on HH about NRR and Tuff Luck, go back to check to see if there is anymore info and Vegas is there bad mouthing NRR and trying to get there artists away from them. Get your facts straight. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> are you insane? we are obviously not reading the same posts. From what i read , those are clearly NOT Sam's intentions. Surely it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out whats going on there.

  10. why don't you just contact VegasCds and tell him you are not happy with your order and Sam will be more than happy to accept your returns. He has never denied that to anyone, as far as i know. Thats one thing that most people seem to forget here is that Sam will always accept a return if you are not satisfied with your item(s).
  11. One of the most tasteless and tackiest moves by Koogles yet. I am finding his character to be more and more repugnant... Grow up
  12. Boy, it takes alot for me to post on here , especially a new thread, but what i heard today just blew me away and nauseates me to no end. You don't need a microscope to see the snidy underhanded conspiracy among some nasty folks who are doing everything they can to undermine the progress and success of Retrospect Records. At this point, i don't really have much to do with the label personally [everyone knows i am related to the owner] , although i certainly support their ideals and purpose and all the great music being made available - in some cases for the very first time. But Sam told me today that a certain SURRF had called one of his recent pending acquisitions [a great band in the works] and Burt [surrf] proceeded to do everything he could to dissuade this particular band from signing with Retrospect. He laid it on pretty thick and really for only one purpose apparently - to acquire some of the band's cd's for himself. I know he is not the only person to have done this - but this is exactly the kind of BS conduct that not only reflects a persons character , but eventually kills the already fading spirit of a great genre of music. Sam is trying to do all the right things here to contact artists , and have their music made available again [or for the first time] to music lovers of this genre and also by giving back to the artist a very fair percentage so that everyone is happy and by doing this - it not only keeps the music and genre alive but inspires the artist to , if possible, record again, to tour again or even hunt down those lost recordings that were forgotten about for so long. For crying out loud, all you haters out there, stop the BS!! In the long run, you are only hurting the music, the artists and most importantly - the REAL fans who love and TRULY support this great genre of AOR and Melodic Hard Rock. And please, don't get me wrong, I am not here to make enemies but to unite us, Peace and keep waving that AOR flag!! Aaron - the Recordjnky PS - the band in question are still apparently going to sign with Retrospect....
  13. Looks like KOOGLES isn't exactly free from making his own ERRORS!!
  14. Then again, a seller with 99.8% positive feedback with over 16,000 feedbacks isn't really MIS-LEADING a whole lot of people is he?? food for thought....
  15. it states in the auction it is the original re-issue by RETROSPECT RECORDS in 2005 , obviously its not the original independent issue from 1990 because i would say "this is the ORIGINAL INDIE ISSUE from 1990" -- why is this so difficult to process?? in other words , its not a home made copy made from the original indie issue OR the retrospect re-issue. honestly, how elementary do this listings need to be?
  16. Yes this is the ORIGINAL ISSUE by retrospect and is a factory pressed and sealed cd and NOT a home made job. Man, some of you guys are unbelievable and try to find things that aren't there... I am certainly not one to mislead. If anyone has questions, I have answers!
  17. ATTENTION ALL EBAY SELLERS!! Here is yet another ebay bidder to block - he wins an item and then files a claim with paypal shortly afterwards without ever contacting you and you get screwed - although from now on i will do what Lon said in his earlier post. I guess this guys "private" feedback should have sent the red flags up. EBAY USER ID: haemorrage EMAIL: danisegi@yahoo.es NAME AND ADDRESS: Daniel Sevilla Giron c/ Torre d'enveja 25, 4-3 08800 Vilanova i la Geltru, Cataluña Spain
  18. Hey Lon, thanks a million for the info! when you say 30 - 45 days to track it though, paypal requires the tracking info within 10 days so is that still gonna be a problem? thanks! Recordjnky
  19. ATTENTION ALL SELLERS!! Block this bidder at your earliest convenience. He bought a cd from me [he is international] , expected the cd overnight and almost right away filed a complaint with paypal - and lo and behold 10 days later i get screwed because i am not going to register a cheaper cd airmail for $7.50 just so paypal can get a tracking number. So i lost $11 on the deal plus the actual disc. In addition to this, the buyer never contacted me. This is the most annoying thing with paypal that they simply DO NOT protect the seller!! ARRRGH!! Anyhoo, here is his info: EBAY USER ID: hess_2004 NAME+ADDRESS: Nicky Kosasih [aka Nicky Sebastian Kosasih] alzeyerstr 65 a D-67549 worms Germany
  20. i didn't realise how much better the music sounds when its accompanied by an obi strip.....
  21. I guess the proof will be in the pudding T-Bone. Sam has tons more mega rare releases slated for release and has contacted many bands to issue alot of unreleased material. The way i see it, Sam has had zero complaints on everything he has sold so far on his label, so as of right now, things are looking up and all of his customers are happy with their product. Not to mention, these bands are absolutely ecstatic that they have an outlet for their previously released [and re-issued] or previously unreleased music. They are simply amazed that there are still folks out here that still want to hear their music and that style of music. They could care less, too, about what color the disc is -- the bands know that they aren't going to move a whole lot of units [lets face it, the 80s hard rock market is pretty small - these cd's aren't going to go gold or platinum -- hence why they are content to be on a small label] so whatever they do sell, they want to get maximum buckage. It all makes sense to me.
  22. As i have stated before, most music-loving people just care about having the music on CD format and could care less about what color the disc is that they have it on. Hell i'll take a polka-dotted disc if it means i can have ZUMA II on CD and not a scratchy record or worn out cassette!!
  23. Honestly, i think its because most people don't buy cd's for "collectors" purposes or to re-sell later on - i think its because most people just want the music in CD format anyway they can get it. So when they get their disc they have nothing to complain about...they have a once-rare title finally on CD format. I don't want to start any flaming arguments here but thats why i think this seller gets great feedback.
