  1. And Geoff (if they sing in their native language)
  2. First song released 'Hard To Say Goodbye'. From Frontiers: Joel Hoekstra, best known to rock fans as the current guitarist for Whitesnake and Trans-Siberian Orchestra (and also known for his work with Night Ranger and the Broadway show Rock of Ages), returns with his 2nd album, 'Running Games’ from his electrifying solo project, Joel Hoekstra’s 13 on February 12, 2021. Joined by Russell Allen (vocals), Tony Franklin (bass), Vinny Appice (drums), and Derek Sherinian (keyboards), Joel and company pick up where his debut, 'Dying To Live' left off. Hoekstra once again handles the bulk of the creative process, overseeing production, songwriting and arranging (music and lyrics), and crafting his vision for this powerful hard rock gem. Add Chris Collier’s masterful mixing and the result is ‘70s/’80s classic hard rock with 2020’s muscle. As with the debut, 'Running Games' features an all-star cast of musicians including none other than Russell Allen (vocals), Tony Franklin (bass), Vinny Appice (drums), and Derek Sherinian (keyboards). The amazing Jeff Scott Soto also lends a helping hand with background vocals. Says Joel, “Years ago, I released three solo albums that were mainly instrumental guitar music. With Joel Hoekstra's 13, I have started to work on something that showcases my production, writing, and playing in the genre that I'm known for, which is melodic hard rock.” Like 'Dying to Live', 'Running Games' can be described as Dio’ish at it’s heaviest, but also is influenced by the blues- based sound of Whitesnake as well as melodic bands like Foreigner, Journey. Hoekstra says "‘Hard to Say Goodbye’ definitely represents the more melodic sound of the album, but rock fans can also look forward to some aggressive tracks." On ‘Running Games’, lyrically Joel focuses on escaping problems both past and present by providing playful, imaginary, and serious takes on the situations. Long hailed for his fiery, tasteful guitar playing, Hoekstra’s playing here raises the bar to a new level. Look out for 'Running Games' on February 12, 2021! Tracklist: 1. Finish Line 2. 4. Out December 4th. In the fall of 2018, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Steve Perry made his long-awaited return with the release of ""Traces"", the legendary musician’s first new album in 25 years. The album’s personal expression of love, inspiration and renewal resonated with both critics and fans around the world, thrilled to have their ‘voice of a generation’ making new music once again. Now, on ""Traces (Alternative Versions & Sketches)"", Perry revisits several of his favorite tracks, stripping away the grand production touches, taking the songs down to their essence. Presented acoustic and raw, (including some in sketch form) tracks like “Sun Shines Gray,” “No Erasin’,” “No More Cryin’,” and “Most Of All” take on new and richer meaning. In this setting, Perry’s iconic soulful voice glides out-front vibrant, clear and warm while the lyrics take on greater significance as well, even more intimate than before. Tracks: 1. Most Of All (Radio Mix) 2. No Erasin’ (Acoustic) 3. I Need You (Acoustic) 4. No More Cryin’ (Acoustic) 5. Most Of All (Stripped) 6. We’re Still Here (Acoustic) 7. You Belong To Me (Stripped) 8. Sun Shines Gray (Acoustic)

  11. Wow. 2 top female vocalists. Can't be other than great. From Frontiers: Frontiers Music Srl is positively thrilled to announce the formation of one of their most exciting new projects, a collaboration between powerhouse Finnish vocalists Noora Louhimo (Battle Beast) and Netta Laurenne (Smackbound). Laurenne/Louhimo are currently hard at work recording music for their debut album for the label. Guitars will be handled by Nino Laurenne and drums by Sampo Haapaniemi. Bass duties will be determined soon and guest guitar solos are also being plotted. The album is currently tentatively planned for release in 2021. Comments Netta Laurenne, ”I’ve had the idea about a possible collaboration with Noora incubating for a few years. Once the pandemic started and cleared out calendars for both of us, it felt like a perfect time to reach out to Noora and start this project. She is such a talented singer who masters various styles and on top of that, simply an awesome person. We are both initially from the same town, so it feels extra special to get us, two metal singers from Tampere, working together on an album full of kick ass metal. This is also a collaboration with my husband, music producer, and guitarist (Thunderstone) Nino Laurenne, with whom I’ve written the songs for the album. We’ve already started recording the album and just can’t wait for it to find its way to you in 2021 as it’ll be FANFUNTASTIC!" Comments Noora Louhimo, "When Netta asked me to join in this project I was happily surprised. I had followed her as a singer for years and always admired her soulful and powerful vocals and her way of expressing herself. Now that we have gotten to know each other a bit better through this project, it's been amazing to realise how much in common we have as singers and as people. We both have similar idols and influences music wise and we both love singing with soul, blues, edge, and power. She's definitely my long lost soul sister and I'm super excited singing with her on an album filled with our explosive passion for music.” Adds Frontiers President/Head of A&R Serafino Perugino, "I believe Netta is a truly gifted and talented artist and this is one of a few records besides Smackbound that we will start a fruitful creative and artistic cooperation with her on. To pair her with Noora [Louhimo], who literally blows everyone away with her smashing vocals in not only her main band Battle Beast, but also on Magnus Karlsson's Free Fall record, and another very special record we have coming, is incredibly exciting and an honor." Stay tuned for more news on the debut Laurenne/Louhimo album and in the meantime, follow their freshly launch social media pages to keep up with their progress. https://www.facebook.com/laurennelouhimo

  14. More info from Escape Music: LIAR originally formed in 1975 and recorded their first album "Straight From The Hip" for Decca Records. The band toured extensively in the UK and throughout Europe before recording the critically acclaimed follow up album "Set The World On Fire" in 1977, one of the first colour picture-disc records in the UK. Liar were very much a British rock band, with foundations based on the likes of Bad Company, Queen and Led Zeppelin. The band was warmly received in Europe at the time but not so well in the UK where punk was at its height.. They toured with Slade and gained some success but the band was best suited to the American market and so they were whisked off to LA to write new material ready for a third album. For inspiration, they were ensconced in a house at the top of the Hollywood Hills (next door to Mick Fleetwood) on Sunset Plaza Drive, from which the name of the third release was taken. Sunset Plaza Drive eventually saw the light of day this year on Escape Music (ESM341), 42 years after it was recorded! It was “Set the World on Fire” that really stood out as the band’s finest moment and it was chock full of memorable songs that have stood the test of time admirably. This reissue sounds magnificent and the songs have benefited from the latest technology. Each CD is numbered and has a hand signed card from the then four remaining members of the band (all are signed, not copies). Sadly, Paul Travis died very soon after his signing session. Set the World on Fire is a fabulous reminder of late 70’s British Rock at its finest and is a “must have” release for anyone who loved that era. A Classic of its time. Release Date:2nd December 2020 Catalogue No: ESM348 Track Listing: 1- Set The World On Fire 3:54 2- Town Of Evil People 5:51 3- I’m Calling 4:31 4- Midnight Promises 4:56 5- Five Knuckle Shuffle 3:02 6- High Life 3:30 7- Frustration 4:57 8- Who Cares 7:28 Line up Clive Brooks (RIP) - Drums Dave Burton – Lead Vocals / Guitars Dave Taylor – Bass / Vocals Paul Travis (RIP) – Guitars / Vocals Steve Mann – Guitars / Keyboards
