  1. From Frontiers: Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the signing of Danish vocalist Ronnie Atkins to a solo deal. The acclaimed Pretty Maids and Nordic Union vocalist is currently wrapping up work on a new solo album, ”One Shot,” which will be released in the spring of 2021. ”To be honest, I initially had no intention to do a solo album to begin with, but for various reasons and in particularly my own personal health situation I finally decided to have a crack at it,” says Atkins. ”Around Easter 2020 and only some six weeks after I was told that everything seemingly looked very positive for my health, I was unfortunately diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and told it was incurable, which was devastating news for me. Needless to say, that was a total game changer and I went into kind of a panic situation for a while! But when the dust had settled. I realised there were two ways to approach the situation. I could sit down, accept the facts, and feel pity for myself or I could pull myself up, set some goals, pursue my dreams, and carry on living! And with fantastic back up from my family and true friends, I went for the latter!” continues Atkins. With the global pandemic shutting down touring for the foreseeable future, Atkins knew a tour promoting the latest Pretty Maids album, ”Undress Your Madness” (2019) was not going to be in the cards anytime soon. Suddenly, the timing for working on a new solo album seemed to have presented itself. ”Well, I couldn’t change the way things were by any means. The whole world was on a lockdown and the future prospects of concerts were very uncertain and still is to this day! Basically, that meant that if I was gonna carry out the idea of a solo album, it had to be now since I don’t necessarily have all the time in the world. I had all these ideas recorded on my iPhone that I felt were too good to never see the light of day and I was writing a lot at the time to help ease my frustrations,” tells Atkins. Ronnie’s next step was that he hooked up with good friend and PM bandmate and producer Chris Laney to begin the work of putting these ideas together into songs. Chris is overseeing production, Jacob Hansen will mix, and musicians/singers appearing on the album include, in addition to Laney, Allan Sørensen, Morten Sandager, Pontus Egberg, Pontus Norgren, Kee Marcello, Olliver Hartmann, John Berg, Anders Ringman, Linnea Vikström Egg, and Björn Strid. The album is currently scheduled for release in spring of 2021 with the first single and more album details to be revealed in January 2021. Stay tuned!

  4. From FB: In these challenging times I am happy to try to bring some musical solace to these days with the release of my New Solo Album entitled ‘Liftoff’ shipping on December 4th! Pre-Orders begins this Friday and will be releasing 4 Lyric Videos I’ve created over the next month. I am honored to have three co-writes on this eleven track album with Richard Hilton, master keyboardist from ‘Chic‘ whom we worked with on SLAM all those years ago, bassist and brother Bengt Jonasson, guitarist James Bird from ‘Mason Hill’, and had the pleasure of UK ultra vocalists Emily Lynn and Lara Smiles perform some amazing vocals on a couple tracks! The album is mastered by the talented Ian Kelosky, and artwork designed by the always amazing Graeme Graeme Purdy Bell who adapted a photo from our good friend Anders Gustafsson! Composing ‘Liftoff’ has been good therapy for myself while struggling to stay positive during so much darkness and division gripping this world. I hope this collection of songs will be of some joy or respite for those of you interested in diving in to it. I‘ve always been a lover of ‘albums’ and have given much heart in trying to create an hour long musical experience musically and thematically this time around. I even delved back in to playing some lead guitar on a few tracks after being inspired while supporting Jeff Beck last year in the US, an artist who was a tremendous inspiration for me back in high school. So please stay tuned for the Townsend Records Pre-Order Link, and the title track lyric video coming this Friday evening, and wishing everyone a most insightful and inspired rest of the week! Stay safe out there. TRACKLIST Liftoff Spaceship Built for Two Landslide Back to Earth Hang Back Docking Sequence Shed My Skin Butterfly Deeper Than Our Fear Man of War Heaven’s in Flames

  12. From facebook: We’re extremely pleased to announce that our 13th Thunder studio album is called "All The Right Noises” and will be released on March 12th 2021. We finished it in March of this year, but because of Covid-19, we had to delay the tour and the album release. It's been very frustrating, and we almost went pop a few times, but finally we're able to tell the world about it. "Please Remain Seated" gave us a chance to sit down and try different things, but it also allowed us to reflect on what we do best, namely blues based British classic rock at its riff-tactic best. We were always going to return to our roots, and we've done so in a big way with this new album. Those who thought we were ready for our pipe and slippers are in for a massive shock! The few who have heard it are already calling it the best Thunder album ever. Maybe it’s too early to say, and we're way too close to comment, but we can say this:- 1. We're very chuffed with it. 2. It's 100% Thunder, and 3. It's 100% rock! "Last One Out Turn Off The Lights" is the first track from the new album, and we'll pop the video up as soon as it's done. In the meantime there's the little tease clip of the first 20 secs with the Singing Ringing Tree above (which is the album cover). Thunder Channel members will receive a TC stickered 7" vinyl of this tune later this month as part of their membership (with another new tune on the B-side) - just saying.. ATRN is available to pre-order now, in an eye-popping variety of formats and bundles. Thanks for reading, and please look after yourself, we need you. Stay safe. Ben, Chris, Danny, Harry & Luke Thunder

  16. New song 'Restless Nights'. Long Island’s Magic Dance will return with their new album, “Remnants” on December 4, 2020. This album offers up more of the band’s signature ‘80s influenced sound that they are now known for, but at the same time brings a distinct contemporary edge. Performed with absolute genuine emotion and conviction, it’s hard not to be swept up and carried away in these mesmerizing songs. The power of the melodies and the entrancing sound really stick with the listener throughout the entire album. Magic Dance is the solo project of singer/songwriter Jon Siejka, formed in Long Island, NY in 2012 as an outlet for his synthwave songs. A self-taught musician and producer, the project is heavily influenced by the iconic synth-pop and movie soundtrack music of the ‘80s, as is par for the course with synthwave. Recently, the sound has evolved into a heavier and more guitar-oriented style, leaning more towards classic AOR, with strong hints of the sounds of the mid ‘80s. Magic Dance’s debut for the Frontiers label, “New Eyes”, was the third proper album from Siejka, which offered ten superb songs infused with sparkling keys, energetic riffs, and catchy and very memorable hooks. If not for the modern production, one might have thought they were listening to something straight out of the ‘80s! WARNING: This record is extremely addictive and you will be compulsively singing along in no time! Tracklist: 1. Oh No 2. Long And Lost Lonely Nights 3. Zombie Breath Surprise 4. Cut Me Deep 5. When Your World Comes Down 6. Change Your Life 7. I’m Still Holding On 8. Changes 9. Restless Nights 10. Til Your Last Breath 11. I Can’t Be The Only One Line-up: Jon Siejka: Vocals, Guitars, Synths Kevin Krug, Gabor Domjan, Luke Anderson, Emanuele Moretti: Bass Kevin Mcadams: Drums, Percussion Gdaliy: Sax Tim Mackey: Guitar Solo On “I’m Still Holding On”, “Restless Nights”, “Zombie Breath Surprise”, And “No Light” Ziv Shalev: Guitar Solo On “Oh No” And “When Your World Comes Down” Stelios Andre: Guitar Solo On “Changes”, “Til Your Last Breath”, And “I Can’t Be The Only One”
