  2. From Frontiers: They say freedom lies in being bold. For the accomplished professional musicians in the modern arena rock trio Save The World, that means taking time out of their hectic schedules to form a band that plays the music they love, and then paying forward the good vibes with soaring hooks and uplifting messages. Save The World pens emotionally charged songs with rich, melodic choruses, playing music that forgoes genre conventions in favor of a signature sound that’s modern, anthemic, and refreshingly dynamic. Save The World is formed by chief songwriter Dan Tracey on guitar, vocals, keyboards, Robert Wright on bass, vocals, keyboards, Taurus pedals, percussion, producer, engineer, and Jon Wysocki on drums. Dan Tracey is highly regarded for his songwriting, singing, and guitar playing skills. He’s composed music for major television shows and films, and performed and recorded with a variety of established musicians—currently, he plays guitar and sings in the Alan Parsons Live Project. Robert Wright draws recognition onstage and in the studio as a multi-instrumentalist, a songwriter with multiple artist cuts and publishing deals, and as a producer, where he topped the Billboard Country Album charts multiple times and earned many Gold and Platinum album awards. Jon Wysocki is best known as the founding member of the chart-topping, multi-million record selling modern rock band Staind from the band’s halcyon years, 1995 until 2011. With a debut album “ONE” which started to make waves in the underground rock world (seeing also a cameo performance from Alan Parsons himself) and a new record “TWO” which is going to firmly set their imprint within the new rock fans, STW is a band to lookout for if you like hard melodic rock with hints of progressive music! Tracklisting: 1. Camera Obscura 2. Bones 3. Miss Muse 4. Defenders Of The Faith 5. Daphne Blue 6. When Amanda Hits The Stage 7. Man On An Island 8. Longer 9. Denslow Park 10. Automaton 11. 4. Press release: The band first came together when guitarist, composer, and producer Srdjan Brankovic and his wife Nevena Brankovic, who is an academic pianist and singer, met singer Ana Nikolic. Ana had spent the past few years fronting local bands, but after meeting Srdjan and Nevena, they started collaborating in the studio together. While working on some new ideas, Srdjan thought how interesting it would be to include Ana’s vocals in addition to Nevena’s in their recordings. After a couple of recordings were finished, they were overjoyed with the results and thus some of their first demos were born. These were the forerunners of the music that was presented to Frontiers and gained them a deal. The lineup for the band was then completed with the addition of drummer Marko Milojevic. Both Srdjan and Marko are members of the most successful Serbian progressive metal band, AlogiA. Throughout his career, Srdjan has played on many festivals and tours, recorded and collaborated on countless studio and live albums, and opened for some well-known bands such as Whitesnake, Ian Paice, Apocalyptica, Savatage, and more. He was also a member of Michael Matijevic’s live band in Bulgaria. On his “Expedition Delta” and “Alogia” albums, he collaborated with names such as Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens, Mark Boals, Erik Norlander, Gary Wehrkamp, Fabio Lione, and Hansi Kursch, among others. Brankovic states, ”I am happy to say that we signed a contract with the premier rock and metal label Frontiers and I am very excited that my priority in the forthcoming years will be cooperation with them. I seem to have found my music a home in the best place in the music universe, since I believe that Frontiers is a label with the best ideas and fantastic projects and releases, which have made the rock scene look far more beautiful and powerful. We start the collaboration with a newly formed band, created in a combination of ideas with Frontiers. At the suggestion of the Director of “Frontiers”, we agreed that the name of the band will be “The Big Deal” and It will be a “must-have” for fans of melodic rock/metal. Next to me on guitar, a very exciting line-up will feature piano-virtuoso-lady who sings at the same time, Nevena, who I would characterize as an original appearance on the rock scene. Beside Nevena, another rock lady is involved, as a singer. Her name is Ana and she is a r’n’r lover, with a very authentic and beautiful voice. Marko, a friend from my parent-band, will be in charge of the drums, and a well known Frontiers associated rock star will be in charge of the bass lines (stay tuned on that). We are already greatly in the process of recording demos for the album. Needless to say we’re absolutely thrilled about this. Cheers and stay tuned for more info!”

Interesting chord progressions, sophisticated melodies, and top-level musicianship are values that should never be lost or diminished. In the style of artists such as Toto, Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, Marc Jordan, Kenny Loggins, The Doobie Brothers, Pages, Airplay, and more! 11. New song from Bad Baron. From facebook: Pure, unadulterated 80s rock from the metal mecca of Finland. Big hair, even bigger hooks, and musical skills that we all thought went out of fashion in 1991 - Bad Baron will be bringing their proudly non-unique brand of glam metal to a stage near you. You might be tempted to assume that you’ve come across yet another Scandinavian sleaze band, following a path well-trodden over the past few years by bands likeCrashdïet, Santa Cruz and Reckless Love. But you’d be wrong. Bad Baron, hailing from the metal mecca of Finland, don’t mess around with genre crossovers, mainstream elements or any kind of ‘modern touch’ - they simply bring you the pure, unadulterated 80s rock that you crave. Leading the band is 2020 Voice of Finland contestant Lauri Huovinen, who cut his teeth playing in bands in the wintry northern city of Oulu. Face-melting guitar solo duties are handled by Tommy Widdow, and Sammy South keeps the beat with the (very) occasional drum solo. Of course, no hair metal band would be complete without a keytar or two, so the guys flew in British keyboardist Alex Kron to add those all-important synths. ‘I’m a massive fan of the AOR and glam metal that came out of the 80s,’ says Lauri. ‘Whitesnake, Ratt, Danger Danger and so on, so it was amazing to find people who want to make that kind of music as much as I do.’ With big hair, even bigger hooks, and musical skills that we all thought went out of fashion in 1991, Bad Baron will be bringing their proudly non-unique brand of glam metal to a stage near you.
  12. Talisman sucks. That's what my friend is saying. But I like them a lot.

Robbie’s first influences (besides his dad always singing and playing the guitar) were Trini Lopez and the Beatles. Shortly after, the influences were bands like Creedence Clearwater Revival and Grand Funk Railroad. Robbie’s first break in the music business came when he met Rock and Roll Hall Of Famer Felix Cavaliere of The Rascals in CT. Felix produced the album “FURY” with a slew of great musicians in a CT studio. After the album disappeared from the charts, Robbie signed with a management company that had Michael Bolton ties and the duo recorded at least four albums worth of material at Michael’s CT studio. It still failed to generate a record deal. When that deal ended about three years later Robbie dropped a DAT tape in Arif Mardin’s mailbox in CT. Arif called the next day and a deal with Atlantic Records was on the table. One hurdle to go, a showcase with the new Atlantic regime. Again, it proved disappointing, no deal. At the suggestion of a friend, a CD was sent to Frontiers Records and the two “Blanc Faces” records were done in 2005 and 2009. Robbie then signed on to sing with the “Find Me” project which has received some great reviews on all three releases. Robbie also sings lead vocals in a band called East Temple Avenue which will have it’s first release in 2020 as well. ETA is comprised of members from various bands like “Work of Art” and “Cruzh” along with Darren Philips (founder) and Phil Lindstrand. In 2019 Robbie hooked up with Escape Music to do a “70’s and 80’s vibe” record and Robbie loved the idea. The result is that a solo record will be coming in 2021, written and produced by Steve Overland and Tommy Denander. The songs are fresh and vibrant, just what we need in these troubling times and with Robbie’s powerhouse vocals leading the way then we are all in for a real treat. Robbie LaBlanc: Lead Vocals / Backing Vocals (Blanc Faces / Find Me) Tommy Denander: All Guitars / Keyboards (Alice Cooper / Steve Walsh / Jimi Jamison) Brian Anthony: Bass / Percussion (Steve Walsh / Lonerider / Overland) Michael Lange: Drums Steve Overland: Backing Vocals (FM / Lonerider / Shadowman) Produced by: Tommy Denander / Khalil Turk / Steve Overland

  15. Press release: The ‘Demos from the Attic‘ collection comes two decades after the quartet’s much loved debut surfaced on Giant / Reprise Records in 1990. Recording began after the touring cycle for that record was completed and continued throughout 1991. Guitarist Adam Holland explains, “We bought an 8-track recorder, a small console and some speakers, and start putting together the demos for the next record. We produced and mixed them all ourselves in Neil’s parent’s basement and my parent’s basement. We recorded so many ideas because we didn’t know which ones would go the distance.” The band members weren’t even aware that between them they had so much available material. Bassist Gerard Zappa says, “When the label approached us about this idea, I had already moved houses and I had packed crates of cassettes and DAT tapes. But I had stored a lot of them at my sister’s. I had to ask her to rummage through the crates as I was in a different city. I had to explain the difference between a regular cassette and a DAT so she knew what she was looking for. It was due to her patience and persistence that I was able to dust off so many songs that we are proud of to this day. As for the future of the band, they will continue to reunite for the occasional show every now and again – as they did last year for a very special occasion alongside their friends in Night Ranger, Danger Danger and Trixter – with no “big plans” on the cards. But, according to keyboardist Craig Pullman, “even though we do not play as the band Valentine we are all still close. And as you know, Gerard, Adam and I still play together with the Steve Augeri Band. As for Valentine. anything is possible given the right circumstances.”
