  1. New video for 'Isle of Misanthrope'. From grande-rock.com: Former Styx frontman Dennis DeYoung is back with the second volume of his fond farewell to recorded music, “26 East, Vol. 2”, due out on June 11th, 2021. As with the preceding volume, “26 East, Vol. 2” once again hints strongly at DeYoung’s rock roots with Styx. The production and musicianship are EPIC, and those timeless vocal arrangements get delivered in spades. A fitting goodbye and a final signature on an outstanding body of work which will stand the test of time! DeYoung has previously stated that “26 East” will mark his retirement from the world of recorded music. It was thanks to Frontiers CEO, Serafino Perugino, that given the abundance of material, Dennis agreed to split the album in two parts. This second half starts where the previous one left off and sees DeYoung collaborate again with the awesome Jim Peterik, a fellow Chicagoan and nearby neighbor, for the songwriting on select tracks. “The last album was supposed to be my final album, but there were so many songs written that Serafino Perugino, CEO of Frontiers, suggested dividing it into two albums rather than one”, DeYoung states. “26 East” was the address where DeYoung grew up in Roseland, IL on the far south side of Chicago. This is where the band was formed in his basement in 1962. Across the street lived the Panozzo twins, John and Chuck, who along with DeYoung would go on to form the nucleus of Styx. The process that brought forth the album beginning in the first place started when Jim Peterik, a fellow Chicagoan and nearby neighbor, sent a song to Dennis. “If not for Jim Peterik’s encouragement, talent and prodding I would not have recorded this music”, says DeYoung. “He once told me the world needed my music; to which I replied "have the world text me for verification". We collaborated from the get go, happily and seamlessly and at this time we have written 9 songs together of which five will be on Volume 1. Just two Chicago guys doing what they do best, making music and having a laugh”. Line-up: Vocals: Dennis DeYoung Drums: Mike Morales, Ed Breckenfeld, Matthew DeYoung & The Late Khari Parker Guitar: Jim Peterik, Mike Aquino, August Zadra, Jim Leahey Solo on “Last Guitar Hero”: Tom Morello “The Great Houdini” Bass: Jim Peterik, Jim Majors, Me on Synth Bass. 3. Press release: Edge Of Paradise announces new album “The Unknown” and partnership with Howard Benson and Neil Sanderson of Judge & Jury Records. US-based hard rock act Edge Of Paradise used the time of the COVID-19 pandemic to create their fourth studio album—which is, as the band describes, their most dynamic, cinematic, and thought-provoking album to date. Singer Margarita states “Being in a band, we learned how to make something positive out of any situation. And in a weird way, 2020 turned into one of the most creatively fulfilling years for us.” Regarding the new album, Margarita says, “We like to push the boundaries of reality with our music. I pour my soul into every word, and aim to create an otherworldly, larger-than-life setting for the songs to exist in, with the goal to take the listener on a journey through endless possibilities. In this album, we explore what our future might look like, as we merge with technology, as we make new discoveries and blur the lines of science fiction. Could our souls exist in a digital space? Could we coexist with the rise of artificial intelligence? What would the world look like, if we see past the boundaries of our body and mind… would it make us feel more connected or alone? And most of all, this music sends an empowering message: to find strength in the unknown.” The band started recording at the end of 2019 with producer Mike Plotnikoff, who brought in Neil Sanderson of Three Days Grace to co-produce. “It was cool to have Neil’s perspective; he really brought out the focus of the lyrics and melodies. It takes Dave and I a long time to build the songs; we nurture each part until we bring them all together to create a song.” Shortly after, the partnership evolved to the band signing with Grammy Award-winning producer, Howard Benson of Judge & Jury Records. “It was amazing to start working with Howard; he really elevated the songs to the highest level and brought out the best in us. We are also back with Jacob Hansen, who mixed and mastered our previous album, “Universe.” Mixing is such a crucial piece of the puzzle, and we trust Jacob, as he does an incredible job with the final step: bringing these songs to life! With a great team supporting the band, Judge & Jury Records and Frontiers Records, Edge Of Paradise is excited to expand their dimension and bring it to all corners of the world! The band puts great emphasis on epic visuals to support their music and has already filmed two music videos to support the release of the first two singles from the album. On working with Scott Hansen of Digital Thunderdome Studios, Margarita states, “We love working with Scott and his crew; he really gets our vision and turns our music into visual art!”

  17. New lyric video for '1-2-3-4 GO!'. Good song. Press release: “Welcome To Hell” is the follow-up to the highly-acclaimed “Wooden Box” album by TUPLE which was released in 2020 via AOR Heaven and resulted in a charty entry in the native country of this Finnish artist. Finland is well-known for its Heavy Metal roots. Far and wide comes the list of Metal bands that are known all around the world. But there’s also a strong Melodic Rock/AOR community. Bands that rely, not only on heavy riffing, but also strong melodies and larger-than-life keyboards. TUPLE is a good example of it. Catchy songs, great melodies, fine artistry. The songs once again - like on the previous album - were written by Riitis, Tommi’s good friend and trusted composer. But unlike the Wooden Box release, which was lyrically based on Tommi’s life, this time the band takes a look at the dark corners in the corridors of power, struggles with the relationships, and takes the listener on a trip to the late 19th century Colorado, to Aspen – the playground of the rich and the powerful – which was once upon a time a savage place where miners, gunslingers, UTE Indians, card sharks and prostitutes were an unsettling mix of people during the Silver Rush. The album was produced by TripleVision (Tommi, Riitis, Janne). Tommi “Tuple” Salmela, born June 3rd, 1969 in Kuopio, Finland, is a Finnish Heavy Metal singer. He sang in such bands as Tarot, Lazy Bonez and Raskasta Joulua (Ragnarok Juletide) and also performed on stage with many famous singers like Elize Ryd, Floor Jansen, Tommy Karevik, Bernie Shaw, Joe Lynn Turner and Dee Snider, to name a few. Raskasta Joulua is a Finnish band recording and performing traditional Christmas carols and hits in the Heavy Metal style. Tommi is one of the founding members. Lazy Bonez was established in 2012 and they have released 3 albums. On their second album, Alive, Tommi sang a duet with Bernie Shaw of Uriah Heep on the tune ‘Devils Dice’. Tuple’s personal influences include bands like Journey, Kansas, FM, Uriah Heep, Boston, Chicago, Strangeways, Black Sabbath, Dio and lots of other AOR bands - the list goes on and on. His motto is: What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger. The band is: Tom Rask – drums Jykä Sirainen – bass Riitis - guitars, keys and backing vocals Tommi “Tuple” Salmela - vocals and backing vocals Noora Louhimo (Battle Beast) – guest vocals on ‘Survive’ Tony Kakko (Sonata Arctica) – additional backing vocals Janne Tolsa – mixing, mastering and additional keys Erkka Korhonen – guitar solos on 5 songs
