  1. THAT's a damn great line!!!!!!!!! One of the most skin-crawling scenes ever filmed too... the embarrassment just LEAPS out of the screen and makes you go "Oh, MAAAN, that sucks" Whatever happened to Phoebe Cates anyway? She was a piece back then!
  2. Same here....Even though I have horses..I don't really like country music...But I have been think bout getting Her first release!!!There are some cool songs on it. I really like Sade...I used to Jam with an R&B Band and they turned me on to her....I also like alot of old school funk...Like The Ohio Players,The Gap Band,Parliment,James Brown.... If I do listen to country I like Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash's VH1 Story Tellers..just a couple guys and their Guitars... John Prine is cool also.... Gretchen Wilson's pretty hot, so I justify it that way. "Um, yea! I don't like her MUSIC, I like her Boobs! YEAH, that's it!" My wife's the country music fan in the house... she likes Big & Rich (who are frickin' hilarious by the way, I wouldn't mind seeing them live, they'd probably be a helluva lot of fun!), Garth Brooks (of course), Dixie Chicks, Shania, Alan Jackson, Martina McBride, and on and on... I guess I'm better off having to listen to that than to be married to a hip-hop lover (SHUDDER)
  3. "OUTLANDER! We have your woman!" --"Children of the Corn"
  4. I'm still trying to figure out if TT Quick's cover of the Dave Clark Five song "Glad All Over" is the most brilliant cover version I've ever heard, or the most retarded.
  5. On the ride here this AM: T.T. Quick - METAL OF HONOR
  6. I also own 2 CDs of songs and musical numbers from "The Simpsons"... and I know every single solitary lyric off of each one...
  7. Oh, and earlier today I had to bring my wife's car to the DMV for its annual inspection and my son asked me to put on her Gretchen Wilson "Here For The Party" CD while we waited in line for our turn. I really didn't want to at first but by the halfway point of the album I was thinking "Goddammit, this is actually pretty good!" Oooo-kay, there goes what little was left of MY metal street cred...
  8. When none of my metal friends are looking I bust out Weird Al Yankovic's DARE TO BE STUPID disc. I think I know the lyrics to his "Yoda" parody of the Kinks' "Lola" better than I know the lyrics to the original... if I'm driving in my car and "Lola" comes on the radio, I sing the "Yoda" version over it
  9. Bwaaaaahahahahaha! That can of Coke has got some serious GAME. I'm jealous.
  10. Great fuckin' pic here... now when she sez she'll fuckin' fuck for Coke, is she talkin' the fuckin' soda or the fuckin' other kind?
  11. "If God had wanted us to fly, he wouldn't have taken away our wings." --- Howard the Duck "You always take a leak with a gun in your hand? That's a good way to blow your balls off! " --from "Maniac Cop" (1988) A selection of favorite lines from one of my favorite movies, "Rock N Roll High School" starring the Ramones: "I'm FIRST in line! and if you don't like it, you can put it where the monkey puts the nuts!" "Well, that about wraps it up at Rock & Roll High. Remember, if YOUR principal ever gives YOU trouble, and you want THIS [pointing to the burning school building behind him] to happen at YOUR school, you just give ol' Screamin' Steve a call. I'm in the book - under SCRRRREAMIN'!" "Things sure have changed since we got kicked outta high school." "Do your parents KNOW you're Ramones?"
  12. I am just glad that I'll FINALLY be able to get the first album, with "Dream Dancer" on it, on CD! I have the PAR Records cassette pressing of the album and it's the leadoff track. When RoadRunner picked the album up, that track ended up on the B-side to one of the singles and it was never seen or heard from again. I therefore have REFUSED buyin' a CD copy of this album for god-damn nearly TWENTY YEARS. Nice to see my patience is finally going to be rewarded. How weird ARE Midnight's solo albums, Blue? I've heard stories but have never actually heard'em... the bad reviews I read were more than enough to keep me away...
  13. Saw this on Blabbermouth this morning and went "yaaaaay!" It's about damned time they reissue this catalog! A new album would be nice too but honestly, I'm not gonna hold my breath... CRIMSON GLORY: Remasters, Upcoming Releases Detailed - Apr. 18, 2006 CRIMSON GLORY members Jon Drenning (guitar), Jeff Lords (bass) and Ben Jackson (guitar) have finally reunited with their original singer Midnight, following the massive demand from their loyal fanbase around the globe and are ready to take on the world. Now that CRIMSON GLORY are back, metal fans all around the world can rejoice, as there is a wealth of material that the band will release through Greece's Black Lotus Records — on this — the band's 20th anniversary. Firstly the remasters: The much revered eponymous debut album of CRIMSON GLORY will be expanded — remastered and have a new title. "Lost Reflections" will not only feature new artwork, new and previously unseen band photos, lyrics and new liner notes but also the added bonus of the previously unreleased songs — "Love Me - Kill Me" and "Dream Dancer", which was originally only found on the Par cassette release of the album and on some hard to find singles, a new video for the song "Lost Refection" and a band interview about the first CD, shedding light on how this magnificent opus was crafted. Apart from the debut, an upgraded version of the band's defining masterpiece "Transcendence" will be released — subtitled "Transcendence: Renovatio", featuring new cover art, unpublished band photos, lyrics and new liner notes, new mastering, demo versions of two songs as bonuses, a new video for the song "Painted Skies" and a band interview about the second CD. "Lost Reflections" and "Transcendence: Renovatio" are scheduled for release on June 26 in Europe and August 22 in the U.S. Later in this year and beyond: There are plans for a DVD with the tentative title "Phantoms of the Opera". Also an "Astronomica" *redux* newly recorded, with Midnight at the helm, a collection with many rare and previously unreleased songs and last but certainly NOT least the band's BRAND NEW album in mid-2007
  14. Ehhh, Metallica, Dokken and the Scorpions were more than enough for me (forget Kingdom Come, heh heh) without having to see Van Hagar too, thanks. I was basically there for Metallica anyway. Glad you liked it though!
  15. Or you watched Paul Lynde every night on "The Match Game" Speaking of which, is it just me or is the guy who voices the alien "Roger" on "American Dad" doing a dead-on impression of Paul Lynde?
  16. They say that I have shed blood... but what is blood for, if not for shedding? -- "CandyMan"
  17. Nice find, man. I nailed one of those in a used bin myself awhile ago for $15 and thought I made the edeal of the century. A few months back I just about shit a brick when I found the 2-disc Castle reissues of the debut and POWERSLAVE used in the same store, but when I was halfway to the checkout with'em I noticed that the bonus discs were missing from both! The actual album disc was there, the little index card with the track listings for the bonus discs were in there, but the bonus discs were gone. Some must've shoplifted'em! GRRRR!
  18. You know the theme song from "The Muppet Show" by heart
  19. "So...what would you little maniacs like to do first?" --Kelly LeBrock in "Weird Science"
  20. Principal Togar: "Those Ramones certainly are peculiar..." Police Chief: "They're UGLY. Ugly, ugly people." -- "Rock N Roll High School"
  21. "BE NICE... Till it's time to NOT be nice." -- Patrick Swayze in "Road House"
  22. Got a whole mess o' goodies over the weekend so this morning it's all stuff from that stack: Shotgun Messiah - S/T Fear Not - S/T Laaz Rockit - ANNIHILATION PRINCIPLE Warrior - THE CODE OF LIFE
  23. Me too. Love VH. Love Hagar. Never the twain shall meet. I was never a Hagar fan BEFORE he joined Van Halen so when the news came that he was the new VH guy, I simply walked away. I will never forget goin' to the Van Halen Monsters of Rock concert at Giants Stadium in 1988 and noticing a van in the parking lot with the words "HAGAR'S NOT METAL!" written on the side in white reflector tape. Summed my feelings up perfectly. My friends and I stayed until the Scorpions were finished and then left before VH came on... and a LOT of other people did the same thing!
  24. It wouldn't allow me to just vote for the Dave album and skip the Hagar era entirely (which is what I have done for the last twenty years), so I will just say that my favorite Dave era album is FAIR WARNING and that the band have been dead to me ever since DLR left. Sorry
  25. Last one I bought was the new remake of KING KONG...excellent movie by the way
