"King Kong" (the new remake) It was pretty kick ass...could've been about a half hour shorter IMHO, but that's probably my ADHD talkin'. Special effects were excellent, great story and performances, and DAMN how hot is Naomi Watts?

I think MacDonough was a "hired gun" all along, whether he realized it or not... hey, I'm sure his spot in Iced Earth will still be open. James actually had an eBay auction going a couple of weeks ago where he was selling a bunch of his Megadeth swag... Gigantour T-shirts, backstage passes, etc., etc. I don't know if it was because he simply had too much stuff and wanted to get rid of it, or if he was trying to dump memories of a bad experience... Mustaine has been asked a few times about it and he gives the standard "I have no problems with James" party-line answer. Hmm, maybe there was trouble in Mega-Paradise eh??

Has everyone heard that Megadeth *IS* going to continue and that a new album is in the works right now? Very cool news, considering that when Dave released THE SYSTEM HAS FAILED, he was promoting it as "the last Megadeth album." The new bass player, by the way, is James Lomenzo, formerly of White Lion... odd

And if you want the all-time greatest MF disc (and one of the all time greatest METAL albums, period, IMHO) pick up DON'T BREAK THE OATH... one of the best album covers of the '80s too... nothing screams "METAL!" like putting a big ol' flamin' Satan on your album cover!! \m/

I was never really big on this band but I always did like "Girlschool" -- maybe it was cuz of the hot chick in the video who disrupts her classroom by cranking the song!!

RUST IN PEACE seems to be taking the lead, followed closely by PEACE SELLS...

"In The Shadows" is an excellent album, Metalhead... as is the follow up, "TIME" from 1994... try that one out next if you're diggin' "Shadows"

Fuckin' A Geoff, were you actually fuckin' surprised that "Basic Instinct 2" fuckin' sucked? It fuckin' disappeared from theatres here in just about a fuckin' week. Crash and fuckin' burn my man. Was Sharon Stone at least nice to fuckin' look at? Did she go full fuckin' frontal? Should I fuckin' bother with it when it comes out on fuckin' DVD? Keep in mind that I love fuckin' bad movies (remember, I actually gave "Black Fuckin' Roses" props in my "Hard Rockin' Movies" poll) so if B.I. 2 was really that fuckin' bad, then I gotta fuckin' see it!! Oh yea, that fuckin' sucks about your wallet. If I fuckin' find it I'll fuckin' forward it back to ya mate.

No I never got to see Iced Earth live. They came through Denver when I was living out there. I think it was on the Horror Show tour. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That sucks man. Iced Earth were actually my "retirement" show. Just as my friend and I got the tickets I found out my wife was pregnant with my first child, so I decided that I kinda needed to be home on Friday and Saturday nights from then on instead of in some smoky dump watching a band. Fortunately I.E. provided a hell of a show to go out on... \m/
