Taking weekly trips to the orginal Rock & Roll Heaven booth on Rt 18, back in 81/82, every week they had new imports or demos from then unknown bands, and fanzines like KickAss Monthy and a few others I can't remember, and started going to shows they promoted, I remember Anvil even played at the flea market one week. Virgin Steel/ ManoWar....Venom with Metallica openning at the Paramont in Staten Island, Raven, Overkill, .....then living in the South Jersey/ Philly area you had a whole different scene with group like the Dead End Kids, Cinderilla, Krank, Tangier, Metalwolf, Pierce,Funhouse, Ivory Tower, LeCompt.....I could travel 45 minutes from my house either north or south and see a different band just about any night of the week....I hate to say it, but, those were the days...

I picked up a couple Penna. bands that I have looking for awhile yesterday 1) Hybrid Ice s/t 2) Harpo s/t

I hit a few places in the Rehoboth Beach area, first was CD & Record Traders in RB, one of the first times I went in a cd store store and didn't find or leave with anything, the second store was in one of the outlet centers called Music for A Song, again not a thing. The next day was a bit better, we hit a flea market in Laruel, Delaware picked up both Badlands cd's: S/T & Voodoo Hwy. Babylon AD cds: s/t & Nothing Sacred Implellitteri "Stand in Line" Steelheart "Tangled in Reins" Tora Tora "Surprise Attack" Lillian Axe "Poetic Justice" Love/Hate "Wasted in America" Icon "Right Between the Eyes" Killer Dwarfs "Big Deal' & Dirty Weapons......Price was 3 for $5.00 Along Route 50 in Easton, Maryland I hit a little shack called Jack Rabbit Music, with no ac or fans the tempature had to be around 90 degrees, which was about the age of the old lady behind the counter in a rocking chair. Piles & piles of cassettes & lps, not many cd's, pick up around 10 cassettes, they had a cool DC STAR picture lp, I almost bought, but they wanted 40 bucks for it. Great place to dig around, but with the wife in the car and the heat in the place, I had to do a quick look around.....

boy, that sucks...I live about 5 minutes from the place, I pass it everyday on the way home from work, I always check out the marque, Sat it only said orginal music, too bad they didn't list any of the bands..... maybe someone can post a message on any future Retrospect label shows...

Jersey???? Where was this show? Damm, wish I had knew about it....

When I was younger I loved live albums or cd's, (about 15 year back or so), for some reason I grew away from them and never get them except if it something rare or maybe a bootleg of a show I was at.

he just got zapped off EBAY again, his lastest name was bangbangbaby2009570, he had bids on 2 of my cassettes, and I was wondering if it was him, but I hadn't recieved any of his "what do they sound like questions"...today I had 4 messages from him...and then I got the message from ebay he was gone again...

my mistake, I meant Flogging Molly, I must have a Mary on my mind, I was looking right at the cd as I wrote that.....

WOW, I'm I the only one that didn't know this? I heard this on VH1 Metal Show, and had a Flogging Mary cd, so I checked it out, he looks totaly different (but, then again, who doesn't from 20 years ago).....pretty cool transformation from metal singer to celtic punk/roots singer.

I had this problem twice over the weekend two cds put in great shape, both had the front insert missing 1) House of Lords....Sahara 2) Masi.....Downtown Dreamers... I still bought them, since I didn't have them yet.....but, where the hell do these front inserts go?

I sold a cutout lp of it, last summer for around $200.00, but I have never come across the cd yet.

I turned 18 in 1981, and in my area Philly/South Jersey, you could see a live band just about every night of the week, clubs & bars that had live music were everywhere ( now I'm lucky if I can find a band I want to see every 6 months or so)...so what happened to all the clubs ? Club Heaven / Menagerie......Pennsauken, NJ ......huge club, had at least 10 or more bars, Dead End Kids played there regularly, World War III, Saints in Hell, I think on Sundays they had .25 beer nights,....the building is still standing and is now a huge Church....I believe thee club closed in the late 80's.... Empire Rock Club......NE Philly........now a bingo hall and take out beer place......I heard a story, years back, that every band that played there over the years, the show was taped. A few have popped out over the years, Heaven Edge, Cinderella and a few others, Anyone know if there is any truth to the taping story?

I liked the first cd much better, your right cdjunky41, they still play the Penna./ Jersey area as a cover band, but I think only 1 or 2 of the guys are from the orginal band.

I picked up an ANGELES DEL INFIERNO "JOVEN PARA MORIR" LP at a flea market a few months back, I havn't got around to playing it yet, but it looks metal, studded belts, white high tops, etc.....

I have underwear that old................
