Actually it was more like 7 years as the album was 1982 and the single was 1989, 4 years after the band split (which may explain why you thought it was 4 years after the album). That said, the single had been a hit in their home country back in 1983 (and scratched the US top 70), so maybe it was just a case of them not gaining any real recognition outside of Canada. Yep correct, thought it was 84-88, but it was 82-89 as you mentioned.

White Lion "Wait" & Sheriff "When I'm With You" are 2 that spring to mind.... The Sheriff one was a hit some 4 years after the album came out....if it wasn't for that DJ who gave it new life, there'd be no Alias.

What about the pub where Ted Poley played in November? Bald Faced Stag. My friends just put on a Dio tribute there, got over 140 payers and the venue said they were welcome back anytime....they would even re-arrange things to accomodate another such night.

Hopefully they'll add another date (eg. playing in my backyard) to make this a bonafide 'tour' C'mon, surely they can add a Sydney show????

I missed this one way back in November. 2 minutes.. Maybe there is some hope for you guys over there after all. I'm just guessing that none of you from here on HH were smart enough to go see this gig? My sister and her boyfriend were lucky enough to see this show. It was basically at a small pub that probably holds no more than 200 people....and the venue was Joan's choice! They said it was a great show.
