  1. Very jealous, Eddie rules! Jesse Harms on keys and Tommy Girvin (Ransom) on guitar??? I saw Jesse tour down here with Sammy Hagar in the late 90's.
  2. I really feel for these people and I pray it changes direction or fizzles out at sea. 2 years ago, my wife and daughter (then 6 months old) were staying on the coast 1 hour north of Rockie and a cyclone was coming. We had to pack up everything and stay with a friend of a friend until the cyclone passed...scary stuff. We'll never go to Qld again in cyclone season!
  3. Everyone vote for Mr Scary! There needs to be some keyboards on stage during the night.... Hey Ray, if you get the slot maybe you could do a Guiffria tune for Chuck Wright
  4. Oh no... is it the shit version of LA Guns? I just assumed it'd be the proper version of LA Guns with Phil Lewis on vocals. Or do you refer to them with that Paul Black guy, or whatever his name was, as their original singer? I forgot about Lita... is she still coming out at all? Providing she'd not play anything off her last CD, I wouldn't mind seeing her. Hey Geoff, I think they had a couple of singers before Phil Lewis but I could be mistaken (it wouldn't be the first time )
  5. Correct Justin - 3 bands & 0 original singers....at least Damo is the original singer in Mr Scary
  6. At work we aquired some businesses in the UK anything to do with phone/net connections, councils etc takes forever! There's a lot more red tape over there than in other parts of the world apparently.
  7. I was having a brain freeze. I was thinking the first Cry Of Love album for some reason then it hit me he sang on the 2nd. I remember buying the first Cry Of Love blind when it was first released because they were dressed like The Black Crowes....great raw album and some killer guitar work. I've never checked out the 2nd disc with Mason though.
  8. OK cool thanks for the tips, if I see em cheap I might check them out.
  9. lol yeah, I take any press release or comment like this with a grain of salt. The last Warrant album I heard was Dog Eat Dog, am I missing out on anything decent after that?
  10. I wanted to avoid that option, as I already have "Picture This" as a single CD, but I might do that anyway since this disc seems impossible to find for a reasonable price. Tim, I don't have the package left but I'm pretty sure "Gift" was not mentioned anywhere. I think there was a box titled "gift" but they hadn't checked that. So pretty much they were resposible for the custom charge too! But it wasn't a gift was it? So therefore they aren't responsible???? You're upset because they didn't falsely declare it was a gift? I'm confused lol
  11. For me I've never had them ship the wrong disc but I've received a few that were in really poor condition. I contacted them and they resolved the issues without fuss.
  12. Did you diggit? Sounded like a K-Mart Tone Norum....not for me sorry budski K-Mart Tone Norum? I don't even know what that means you evil prankster. To be honest, never heard a Tone Norum song in my life so I don't know how to compare that. It's B or C grade IMO Geoff....no offense, I know you're splitting your y-fronts over this one
  13. Did you diggit? Sounded like a K-Mart Tone Norum....not for me sorry budski
  14. Harem Scarem's debut, Dream Theater 'Images & Words' & Bill Champlin 'Runaway'. 10/10 in my books
  15. Hey Geoff, funnily enough I heard this for the first time yesterday and now you post this
  16. I've got a few of these John, each hold 360 cds & they work out cheaper than the single 180 cds Ikea ones. http://www.officeworks.com.au/retail/products/Furniture/Bookcases-and-Storage/CD-and-DVD-Storage/OWCDTWRTWH The only pain I find is that each box hold 15 cds so you're always reshuffling etc if you like to have them in alphabetical order or similar. If I ever get the chance I'll build something a little wider to fit 70 - 80 discs per shelf.....one day....maybe lol
  17. What a trip reading some of these old posts. I had no idea Geoff and Matt were so obsessed with this band lol I saw them support JSS back in 2004 and without sounding disrespectful cannot remember a single song. Someone in the band was wearing a headband and that's all I recall. I remember talking to Gary Schutt and Jeff's wife before the show so possibly this was while Teargas was on.
  18. That's a tough one....I haven't heard that album so I can't comment. Very hard to think of a comparison for Chisel sorry. I guess it's like tyring to find a comparison for King's X.
  19. "Forever Now" would have to be my fav.... I'm sure he made a healthy living from writing "When The War Is Over"....covered by LRB and Uriah Heep plus about 35 Australian Idol contestants lol
  20. You're dedicated Geoff! I admire the passion and banter on this board. Keep up the good work guys & gals
  21. It's ok Thomas, my dad used to say "it's only money"
  22. Great song, and I'm not ashamed to say that
