What I am hearing isn't heavy metal, it's hard rock surely. No heavier than the likes of Jaded Heart or Pink Cream 69 for instance, and the keyboards along say hard rock to me.

Yeah they do belong in the AOR/Hard Rock section tbh , they have more in common with H.E.A.T. or Remedy type of stuff.
