As much as it kills me not to pick my Caps to win it all... I've Got PHILLY beating DETROIT for The Cup.

 

The Flyers don't have the goaltending and a very slow defense I don't think they can win it all. If Vancouver can make quick work of Chicago they should be in the finals along with the Caps. I have a feeling the Caps have been playing possum all year and so has Ovi. Their biggest problem is also in net, who of the 3 potential starters do you go with?

Having 3 goalies is a positive thing. I feel pretty good about the Capitals' goaltending. I'm pretty sure Neuvirth will be in net the whole way. Goal scoring is what worries me. A healthy Mike Green could be the difference in the first round.

 

As far as the Flyers go... I just think they will wear all their opponents down. They play well as a team.

 

And for the Red Wings... The playoffs is when they start to play their best hockey. It seems as though they just have a switch that they can turn on whenever they want.

I hope the whole Caps-Rangers series isn't like game one though I'm pretty sure it will be ... I'm drained. I wouldn't be surprised to see a couple more overtime games. It also wouldn't surprise me if every game is decided by 1 goal.

Glad the Caps and Ranger play opposite nights then the Canadians and Bruins. I think that will be a great series. If the Caps get eliminate I'll be pulling for Montreal.

Detroit swept Phoenix in a boring series 4 games to none.

Yeah... I know what that's like... The Capitals do that all the time. I really though the Flyers would cruise in their series. Though from the point of view from a Caps fan I'm kind of glad they didn't. Even if they win in 7 it could take a toll on them the rest of the way. Buffalo is actually the team I wanted the Caps to face in round one... Maybe they will meet in round two instead.
