A mate of mine asked me who song the following song. I've drawn a blank, 1st verse & chorus as follows -

The rain can fall forever and it always will

A stranger at my door soaking wet shaking from the chill

The rain will fall forever she said can I come inside please

thank you kind sir I have no where else to go nowhere to stay

She came out of the rain I could only stare

At a face of an angel eyes like sapphire golden hair

The rain soaked through the doorway I took her by the hand

She whispered her name she said I'll leave as soon as I can as soon as I can

Spread your wings and fly away

there is nothing I can do

You'll never fade to gray

Spread your wings and fly away on a rainy day .

You can eliminate Steel Panther. :)

Sounds almost like Power Metal, but surely European with lyrics like Spread Your Wings and Fly Away, At a face of an angel eyes like sapphire golden hair and thank you kind sir I have no where else to go nowhere to stay

I have this song on my computer. It's the only song I have by that band and I downloaded it from somewhere years ago. I finally got around to listening to it a few months back and I remember it was kind of a haunting track. Problem is I have no idea who the heck it was! Now I'm going to have to go through all the single tracks I have and see if I can't find that song again. Sorry, absolutely no help at all at the moment, but maybe I'll have better news later. :anon:

Bad news. I found the song...but I have the artist listed as...Unknown! Gack! The song is labeled as "Rainy Day". I did upload it though in the hopes someone else might recognize it and know who it is:

And here I thought it was the deleted opening to Michael Jackson's "Dirty Diana". ;)

    • So some may remember that Tyketto toured recently and aside from Forever Young, I never delved into this band. So I did, so I'd know the songs in concert and was blown away. A great band with an awesome catalog that I had missed out on. To be fair, in the 80's it was a lot harder to access and find out about a lot of the more fringe bands, that's my excuse anyway. So I now am faced with digging deeper into some other bands I've overlooked. Some of these I gave a go, and wasn't really impressed, but now I'm starting fresh with an open mind. So below is a list of bands I have eitehr never bothered with, or never really gave a proper go. Lizzy Borden is on the list and I have done a bit of their stuff and like it a lot, so I will definately dig deeper into them (I've got some older stuff and some newer stuff, but have skipped quite a few albums) But the others, fire away, tell me which bands have killer material that I'll froth and how stppid I've been to skip them. Aldo Nova Badlands Baby Tango Baton Rouge Black N Blue Britney Fox BulletBoys DAD Giant Hanoi Rocks Hardline Jetboy King Kobra Kingdom Come Lillian Axe Lizzy Borden Loudness Love Hate Quireboys Saigon Kick Santa Cruz Shotgun Messiah SleezeBeez SouthGang Tiger Tailz TNT Vain White Tiger

    • I like the album art. I love when contemporary Glam Metal bands have album art with a genuine 80s vibe to it.
    • Nope, for a while, I used to think Rapunzel from Tangled (2010) was hot... But then I stopped being attracted to cartoon characters.
    • This is definitely the first time I've heard about it, I'll have to give it a listen!
