The Mrs. and I just finished up Season 1 and we think it is great.

My friends are current with the series and they say it has its ups and downs but overall they really like it.

And I agree, a very unique show.

I like it ok, I saw most of season one. My GF really likes it.

I was suprised to learn recently that the show is from a series of books.

Have not missed a single episode of this "killer" series. Season 4 is currently airing on Showtime, and it looks like John Lithgow's "Trinity Killer" is going to provide the foil for everyone's favorite serial killer.

*For those of you who haven't seen it yet, Dexter's interaction with Miguel Prada (Jimmy Smits) in season three is stellar.

I don't have Showtime, but I have a friend who owns all the DVDs, so we have a 2 night marathons every year when the DVDs come out and watch the season in those two nights.

I absolutely love this show! (Although, as evidenced, it's difficult not to run across spoilers for the season while it's running.) But, for the above quote, I had to second the comment. I've enjoyed every season, but season three, particularly Dexter and Miguel's relationship, is absolutely spellbinding!

(Not to mention that Sylvia Prado is MILF-ilicious!)

I don't have Showtime but was able to see Season 1 when they showed it on CBS during the writers strike and loved it.

I have since bought and watched season 2 & 3 and will wait patiently for season 4 when it comes out next summer.

We borrowed Season 1 from a friend and went through that in a week.

We are now renting Season 2 from Blockbuster (they are expensive as sh*t BTW).

Mr. Movies has Season 3 and they have 5 for $5 Mondays going on so we'll probably use that promotion to save some $$.

Love this show. Great acting all around, good story.

I'm more of a movie fan, but a young lady introduced me to this show and all I can say is wow! I bought the first season dvd set and finished it up in a weekend. About to delve into the second. Apparently there's now 6 seasons so plenty to look forward to. Unique, twisted, suspenseful, violent and at times darkly comic. WELL worth buying, renting, stealing, whatever haha.

    • Kind of where I'm at too.  I like a few tunes here and songs are okay but alot of the songs sort of feel samey.  I think I've put 3 songs in my playlist from it.
    • I'm with you and think it might be similar for me. I always loved H.E.A.T with Erik and was pretty much a Kenny basher as I wasn't a fan of those first 2 albums at all.  I had very low expectations and really didn't think I'd care much for new music with Kenny.  Anyways, I've slowly come around on Kenny as the singles were released and I'm enjoying the new album.  Yeah, it's not exciting me quite as much as the Gronwall albums did but Kenny sounds excellent to my ears and I'm having no issues with sound or production.  Just sounds like some good melodic hard rock to me.
    • Yeah, at the moment he's the only option for me here. A few guys I'm not really interested in and although EM was everywhere a few years ago, he definitely appears to have settled down recently. If anything, wouldn't mind seeing his name pop up a little more these days, though it's fine as is.
    • I've been a bit let down by recent albums but the genuine anticipation I feel for new material from these guys means they must have done something right through the years. Would absolutely love it if they unexpectedly hit another homerun.

    • Another greatest hits album! And even worse, live greatest hits: JACKYL : 30 Coming In Hot +3 New Tracks (2022) BY BANNED WEBSITE · PUBLISHED AUGUST 13, 2022   When many classic hard rock-related acts from their generation succumbed to trends, JACKYL has been strong & healthy for more than 3 decades. Now 2022 JACKYL are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their platinum debut album with the release of a new best-of collection titled ”30 Coming In Hot”. There has been a ‘best of’ from the band some years ago but this one is different: ”30 Coming In Hot” includes their best songs this time performed live, where they truly showcase their power, plus 3 brand new studio tracks. JACKYL earned two Guinness Book of World Records citations and the designation “The Hardest Working Band in Rock ‘N’ Roll” for performing 100 shows in 50 days as well as 21 shows in 24 hours. Yeah, JACKYL born to play live, and ”30 Coming In Hot” is really ‘hot’ indeed. Very well recorded, mixed & produced, the set is very, very good and entertaining, and you have 3 new songs to enjoy as well. • I have no real opinion on the band's schtick. I do have an opinion on their earlier albums - they contained a lot of good songs. The last few... not so. Hope they can pull something out here but expectations aren't high
