Shake The Jungle - 'Stick to your guns'

Okay guys, who knows this one?

This is the 2nd time I've owned this CD and I'm 90% sure I sold it the first time without even listening to it. But this time I was asked what they sound like so I gave it a spin. My book-by-it's-cover thoughts were that this was some atrocious female fronted bunch of christian clowns.

When I put the CD on... a seriously decent non-christian melodic rock CD with a vocalist that brings one to think of Ted Poley / Mattador / Jess Harnell (The lass is the bass player!). The songs are not going to break your face apart, but they're not bad. Production is great for a completely independant released indie too.

So my question is - does anyone know anything about this CD???

Released 1993.

Songs:

1. Set Me Free

2. Stick to you guns

3. Want you by my side

4. Yesterday's News

5. Enemy

6. Lost

7. Take a hike

Band:

Scott Grindlestone - Vocals/ Guitar / Keyboards

Wendy Grindlestone - Bass / Backing vocals

Joe Macari - Drums / backing vocals

Alas Geoffrey my good man, this is a great cd and the cool part about the 3 piece is that the singer/guitarist and bassist or brother and sister.

But apart from the liner notes the band is a mysterie to me , sorry no new info...

I got this disc from Paulo a little while back and you are correct, great melodic AOR and from what I understand a real mother to find!

Another great unknown band.

Never heard of this one. I saw you mention it in a thread yesterday and was going to ask what they sound like. Very keen to hear this, even more so now that I know it's not a female singer.

Geoff I think you've found yourself a pretty rare CD hare. I did a pretty thorough search and all I could find was two references to this being in two different peoples CD collections. Nothing to be found about the band members.

BTW does anyone know who Burin Desire is? You can always count on any CD being in his collection. It seems everytime I do a search for info about a really rare CD I don't get any results other than Burnin Desires CD collection.

I'm jealous!
