Matt Cassel traded to the Chiefs!

Wow the Chiefs just got better and might even compete for the divisional title this year is Matt plays like he did last season.

I was sure the Pats were gonna hang on to him since Brady's recovery was supposedly not going smooth.

We aquired Cassel & Vrabel for a second round pick, which was brilliant imo. Now we need to go after Canty & some roll players along with drafting Curry at #3 in the draft ( the best player in the draft)....we will compete in 2009-2010.

That being said I know you are a Donkeys fan & I must say, getting Buckhalter & Dawkins was a great move.

Yes getting Dawkins especially put a smile on my face.

I may be in the minority, but this time last year I said that the Browns had overrated Derek Anderson and should trade him for a high draft pick. I was right.

Well, Matt Cassel is this year's Anderson. Without an offensive line or Randy Moss, the guy is going to scramble around in the stretch offense and get hammered.

And Mike Vrabel is a paper tiger. The Patriots are adept at dumping aging veterans at the right time, i.e. Willie McGinest. I think they knew Vrabel was done.

Sorry to be a wet blanket. I hope I'm wrong. :(

You are incorrect on all counts...

We gave up a second round pick for a potential franchise QB. Pioli is a smart guy & drafted Cassel...he knows what he's getting. I might add that Cassel was sacked twice as much with the Pats O-Line last year & Thigpen was sacked 21 times all year. Our line is not that bad...Cassel will flourish in this Haley offense.

As for Vrabel, he was not aquired to be here for 10 years. The defense is very, very young. We need leadership & experience...he will deliver that. Not to mention he will play middle LB...they blitz & stop the run...he will do that in a very productive manner for 3-4 more years. We will draft Curry at three and have one of the best LB core in the NFL.

The blogs on ESPN have about 95% of Pats fans pissed off because they feel they got hosed...I think they're right!

you are absolutely right! the pats got totally hosed on this deal....the chiefs are making big strides already, and the draft is yet to come...Denver is also making great strides to be much better this year, (other than considering to trade cutler) they both will compete with the chargers this year....some teams want to win and show it...., others like philly just can't seem to get any help for mcnabb and seemingly won't try......not sure why?.....

  • 1 month later...
Cassell's job got a LOT tougher with the trade of Tony Gonzalez. that alone will prove to be huge this season.

They could always trade for Tony Scheffler since the Bronco's have decided to trade everyone that's good. :hammer:

We don't need anything but a blocking tight end. Look at Arizona's offense...it was 3 wide out which is what we will do. We'll be okay. Who had a worse drafter? The Raiders or the Bronco's?

That would be the Raiders but the Broncos did some things that are making their fans scratch their heads.

Their problem for the last few years has been defense and most notably the defensive line that can't put any pressure on the QB but what do they draft, like one D-lineman and a shit load of safeties. Maybe McMoron, I mean McDaniels knows something I don't. And for the record I didn't mind the Knowshon Moreno pick as I think he should be a very good back.

Would have been a great pick up had they not signed 17 running backs in the offseason. I think the AFC West have all lost their minds...

    • Created and Posted this video recently in order to promote Ryder SRIII a little more.  I love this song, one of my personal favs from the record.   Be careful viewing at work though (NSFW), just for a couple of images in the video.
    • Named my HH self after the song Auslander on the album Stain. Love that track. Really like the whole album. It's like Living Colour's "Slave to the Grind" or "Dog Eat Dog".
    • From Frontiers: TRACKLIST: 1 Awesome God 2 Stand Up 3 Warrior 4 There You Are 5 Speak His Name 6 Why God Brought Me Here 7 Praying 8 It's Up to You 9 Holy Moment 10 Leaning on the Cross 11 Jesus Christ --- When a musical family gets together to record, magic can happen and this is what the VAN ZANT’s are here for! Brothers Johnny and Donnie Van Zant (respectively current lead vocalist of Southern Rock icons Lynyrd Skynyrd and founding member of .38 Special) were able to find room in their busy schedules for the first time in 1998, recording their collaboration album “Brother to Brother”: a tribute to their late brother and Lynyrd Skynyrd original singer and founding member Ronnie. Such release was highly acclaimed between the press and fans worldwide and brought the duo to record a follow up album, simply entitled “II” in 2001. Their collaboration during the years did not stop as they tapped their feet in a more Country-oriented style with the release of “Get Right With the Man” (certified Gold in the USA in 2005) and later on with “My Kind of Country” in 2007. Now the brothers once again reinvent themselves, offering a Christian-themed album encompassing their Rock and Blues musical roots (and with a touch of Country for good measure). The result “Always Look Up” is made up of songs that will touch the listener’s heart and soul, with an emotional depth that is truly second to none in today’s musical landscape. Experience the soul touching that only the music from the Van Zant family, can provide. You will see why they are icons of the American South, and musical heroes to millions around the globe!
    • New song 'This Won't Last'.

    • I am an atheist but will quite happily listen to Christian music. Hell I will listen to any music if it is good. I don't worship Satan, but will listen to Satanic music if it is good. I will listen to songs about drugs, despite never doing drugs. To me, with very few exceptions, I don't give a tarts furry cup if the lyrics are something I don't care about, as long as the music is good and the singers can sing (even happy to listen to foreign languages). That said, if lyrics make me cringe because they are godawful, it is tough to listen to a song. Some of this is mega cringe, not because it's Christian but because it's just not that great lyrically. I don't think either of these songs are awful, but they just did not grab me and the lyrics could have been so much better. As much as new Stryper gets on my tits as it all sounds the same, classic Stryper despite the preachy lyrics was always well written, hence why I really loved the band. And Michael Sweets first solo album was fucking amazing. I have Guardian, King James, Liberty & Justice, Bloodgood and a few other Christian bands in my collection, so judging Christian music is certainly not about the message, it's just about whether the music is good or not.
    • My opinion Bite Down Hard is the best of the 2.
    • Better than the debut, I agree. But I still struggle to this day with whether Boys or Bite is the best Britny album, so I can't agree with BES being better than Boys.
    • Have to say I agree. While there are some good tracks outside the singles, overall the albums as a whole did little for me, but that compilation was a masterpiece, especially with just how many songs were on it. If I had to give up all my Ratt albums and keep only one, that would be all I need and probably would not miss the rest.
    • Another solid track; I’ll be picking this one up 👍
