  1. One of the top 5 for me. Love all his Solo stuff as well.
  2. Every time I hear Dangerous Toys it scares me they got a record deal.
  3. If you want to post something like this fine but with a post count of 1 or 2 it's really a lot better to give some sort of introduction of who you are and why you are posting. It's a friendly bunch on this site an please post more if you are interested but shouting about a band with a post count of 2 just doesn't look right.
  4. I tried to download that stuff but I don't think it's available now. Here's a link to Vain's my space page. They have a couple of friends that are former bandmembers including original drummer Tom Rickard, if you click on him you can listen to some of his songs, it seems he's went into some type of country direction. http://www.myspace.com/vainkeepshiningon Just downloading the Nottingham show and it seems fine.
  5. Shark Island- Gathering of the faithful Not finished the first listen yet but the first few songs are a little mellower than I would like.
  6. Keeping personalites out of it I'd really like to know when the Tuff Luck re-released is planned. I'd buy that one.
  7. Retrospect v Renaissance , this is one thread that could get interesting.
  8. Love Stevie Nicks to bits. I've got the Sisters of Alavlon album and I think it's great. How does the rest of the Cindy Lauper shape up in comparison to that one. Basically I tend to like most decent female singer songwriters from Carly Simon through to Sheryl Crow.
  9. I'm going to disagree and say this , to my tastes, isn't the strongest. None of those albums make my 10 ten. Went with Slaughter and Black Crowes.
  10. Easiest poll yet. Come and Get it. The best of the Snake.
  11. John Waite is definatly HH territory. Tori Amos, Kate Bush and Stevie Nicks for me.
  12. Is there any way of doing a rating rather than a poll. By that I mean type in a value next to each option so you can say which is your favourite (1) through to which is your least (9/10/11...)?
  13. It is a very ordinary cellophane plastic bag with resealable flap. Costs about 2-3 cents per piece. you can get them on eBay, there are plenty US sellers carrying them (all made in china of course). I'm a bit puzzled, though, coz I always thought Retrospect had their duplicated CDRs factory sealed... So it basically add's nothing to the equation apart from you know the product is not brand new.
  14. I'll ask the dumb question. What exactly is Japenese Plastic?
  15. http://www.lisa-burke.co.uk The best reason for watching the news in the UK. Nice accent as well.
  16. Yes ! Certainly a pretty Swiss girl !! I saw this show and I was surprised that her norks didn't fall out that dress !! Too bad !! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Are you sure it was the same show. ANY show i've seen her on she seems to have the same problem.
  17. michelle_hunzicker Most of you guys won't have seen this girl but she's on TV in Germany and Italy a lot. She definatly knows where her strong points lie
  18. Surely the base question is whether the band and/or rights holder agrees?

    Cricket !

And yet again. You would think this clown would learn to shut his oversized mouth and do his talking with the bat for once . Oh , all these things they were going to do to these over the hill Aussies . Eat shit dickhead <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I really can't do with Smith. He just doesn't know when to shut up and I'm pretty sure it means he ends up being targeted. Talks the talk but doesn't often walk the walk. Ugly to watch bat as well.
  20. I seem to remember one of the potential problems for Sony with their root kill problem was that the 'CD' was not legally a CD as it did not conform to the Red Book Standard. A CD-R is a CD-R not a CD, Legally. They are different standards. One the Orange Book and the other the Red Book. Personally I'm still of the opinion I really don't care what the format is as long as it's clearly stated.
  21. It's no shock to me, and living proof that the popular bands of any genre are seldom (ever?) the best of the genre. IMO, both those CDs have about 2 or 3 great songs on them, but can't even remotely compare with some on this list that wouldn't know what a filler was if it slapped them across the face with a cold fish. Biggest surprise for me? When the hell did Tora Tora get such a following???? I like the guys and that debut, but am really surprised that although they're not getting too many votes most people have mentioned them in their top 2 or 3. Who'd have guessed? Not me. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm surprised Tora Tora isn't in everybodies top few.
