  1. Well... that escalated quickly! Gotta say I have no issues with artists doing covers. The other day I heard Saigon Kick's "Space Oddity" cover for the first time and loved it. It's not always gonna appeal to fans but I also like the insight it gives to an artist's personal music taste and knowledge of rock history.
  2. I will be making lists to remember what to buy after my poor stretch and "catching up" in years to come. I've been going a bit crazy buying for the last few months knowing this was coming so filling holes in my collection. Next year post Feb I will be hitting up op shops more in vain hope. Once my new career kicks off I will be back baby! Back with avengeance!
  3. Anyone gonna make a resolution this year around their music fandom? Mine is I have to work out how / force myself not to buy any new music from February due to a change in finances for the following 18 months...

  8. If I only listened to albums from people whose personal beliefs I support, I'd have a much much smaller CD collection. That being said, Watkins can go and burn in hell. There is a difference in being a dickhead like Bach or a far left loon like Snider (or opposite/same like Nugent) and being a depraved child abuser. It's not the same thing at all. I agree with you.

  15. First album was awesome. Looking forward to this big time.
  16. Bargain. Should be able to onsell that lot for a tidy profit.
  17. Snakes in Paradise - Step Into the Light Trixter - New Audio Machine The Poor - Underfed EP Poison - Swallow this Live Bride - The Jesus Experience Bride - Oddities The Waterboys - This is the Sea
  18. Have to admit that's an enjoyable little tune. Great background vocals.
  19. Interesting. I liked Commodores more than Lionel solo. He never did anything as cool as Brick House. Peter Gabriel in Genesis was amazing. Far better than his patchy solo stuff. Phil Collins was way too schmaltzy for me as a solo artist. At least his early Genesis albums were brilliant. Ok, you are right about Wacko Jacko and Daryl.
  20. I can't think of a single artist whom I have preferred as a solo artist over their original band.
  21. The Waterboys - Fisherman's Blues TobyMac - Welcome to Diverse City Richard Clapton - The Best Years of Our Lives The Cure - Seventeen Seconds (Deluxe 2 CD)
