The chorus is alright, but I agree with the other comments as far as the style, musically I'm not feeling it at all

I'm digging this one much more than the first track

They should be tryin to release the unreleased 2nd cd as well, from their sweatin bullets era, tracks like don't tell me know & tell me your leavin are excellent.
I'll have to try and find some tracks from that as I didn't even know they recorded anything after Break Out.

Thanks for bringing up Sweatin' Bullets and for sharing the link to those two demo tracks, very cool.

Wow, some really good melodic metal tunes. I've got one of their albums from the early 90's which was pretty good from what I recall, although different singer I believe. I'd have to pull it out and listen to it again, but these new songs might be even better than that album.
I did some poking yesterday after first hearing these amazing new tunes and listened to this album, which I think is what your referring to. Good tunes, different singer for sure and certainly not as ballsy as the new stuff but good nonetheless.
Yes, that's it, Danger Calling, it's been a long time since I've played it. Like you said, they've kicked the intensity up a few notches with this new stuff

That is great news, especially for those who don't have it as the price had gotten pretty high. While I doubt it will happen, it would be really cool if they could reissue the album with the original Ferrari demo recordings. Granted that was with Oni Logan on vocals. As good as Break Out was I actually liked some of the demo versions even more than the final recordings.

I saw one review, which was very positive, might be one of the same you mentioned as it was a fairly short write up. I'm liking this new track, Sugar, more than I did the last one, Save Me.

Sounds pretty good, I've never listened to any of their prior releases. Any recommendations as to which album(s) I should check out first?
My favorite is Shadowland, but all of the Johnny releases are good. The 8th Sin and Grand Illusion had a more hard rock vibe than the others.
Afterlife
Shadowland
New World Messiah
Grand Illusion
The 8th Sin
Cool, thanks for your thoughts, I'll check out Shadowland

Not bad, Jennifer's playing enhances the song, but I prefer the vocal harmonies of the 38 Special version

Video for the first single from a new, pop rock band from the UK called Vanguards. They have some 80's influences in their music so thought they might appeal to a few people. I've also added a link to their Facebook page and a 2nd (demo) track called Closer To You for anyone interested.

Not bad, music sounds a bit heavier than Unity. Maybe the new album will take a few listens to grow on me, but based on my first impression of these samples, the hooks don't seem as immediate

'This video is unavailable' bummer, what's the name of the song?
the song title is You Got Me Twisted, the video might have been taken down briefly, but looked to be available again
-
That's better.
Agreed, has a nice melody with a clean vocal delivery. Better than anything from the last album, I like it
-
Pretty cool, I'll try to check out the full album
-
Another nice tune, this one is shaping up to be a pretty good album
-
I like it, picks up right where their last album left off with a vintage, late 80's hard rock style
-
none of their releases have blown me away but they are always very listenable....
I agree, another pretty good song from these guys, their prior releases were all solid, but each lacked that killer track or two to really stand out
-
Good song, I'm glad to see these guys are still active
-
That is very cool, and the fact that she can appreciate who they are and is excited about the opportunity to learn from them makes it even better
-
He has put out some really good albums over the years. I like this preview track and looking forward to hearing the full album.

Very nice, and If the rest of the album is anywhere near as good as these first couple tracks it will likely end up in my personal top 5 of the year
