  1. Sorry Dan and all who like the ball-less balladesque soundtrack soft AOR that has become a GGD staple. Bully for them for cashing in, but I prefer this: Certainly more rockin' with a SO Cal Big Drill Car vibe...
  2. Must watch this...been meaning to all week Very skeptical about this film. But... folks say it's not bad, so I do wanna see it. It's no longer in theatres, is it?Can't imagine it's still in theatres as we saw it second run in March. Don't be skeptical embrace the spectacle of Z2 it is flippin' funny. The cameos are brilliant. Billy Zanes back and the tie in to the first movie is straight up brilliant. Really good movie no lie. That is of course if you enjoyed the first one, if not than you will hate it.
  3. Yes it is quite nice for the time. I have been very stingy with it. It is actually a culmination of 3 separate recording sessions. Maybe it is time for a release??? New American Shame did re record Doghouse which was a Tramp Alley song.
  4. Yes he was on bass. Also Jim Paulson of New American Shame fame. Both Leslie and Jim were involved in Tramp Alley prior too...
  5. Good choices, Talks Cheap is a Tacoma Washington band however...
  6. Yes welcome, looking forward to some newbies and I am hopeful for good contributions. This is a great site and there aren't many left around that are still fairly active.
  7. Besides the ones I mentioned earlier: Nelson-After the Rain
  8. Fine tunes. That Iron Maiden track sounds as if it is in fact an Iron Maiden track.
  9. When I think essential I think of those handful of discs that in the wall of music we all have are the disc (s) that get grabbed regularly, the go to discs no matter what. For me it would be these: Spread Eagle-S/T Warrior Soul-Last Decade Dead Century Y&T-Open Fire Metal Church-S/T Enuff Z Nuff-1985 I am certain I will recall a couple others but those are always go to choices that always deliver.
  10. Music is to fluffy for me. However the liberal use of the Saved By the Bell girls is a whole mess of bonus points.
  11. Yes that is a nice tune. Certainly not generic in any way. I dig it. Thanks for sharing.

Can I sign up for that pro level servicing? What say Leykis? I don't need the class, I get what you are laying down and practiced that art for years. Jacob young squire, I think a road trip is in your best interest...hell Portland is a dead end town anyway.
  13. And a long play in the works. Love the tune too as I spin it regularly.
  14. The movie is quite good and the massive Rush addiction is a nice touch for us music geeks.
  15. I don't hear Foo Fighters at all, but that's just me. I don't know the Foo Fighters that well (by choice) but this just sounds like good modern rock to me. I agree with Shamus, that this reminds me a bit of 40ft Ringo and Stereo Fallout. Maybe a little more sing/songwriter than those two, but similar vibe. I like it. Sounds exactly like FF. Vibe and style. That was my first thought. Not really my cup of tea, but I certainly respect the success FF have garnered over the years. Foo Fighters with 2 hand fulls of The Goo Goo Dolls.
  16. Ashes A below d level virus/zombie movie. Highly passable.
  17. Decline of Western Civilization Part II The Metal Years Checked out the DVD from the library and this film holds up real well as being one of the funniest, but wait I'm serious, movies ever made. The extended bonus scene interviews are a nice touch but they are only the main "rock stars" I wish there was some additional outtakes revolving around the nobodies and wannabes. Still want to find that Trikk Toyzz/Simon Steele stuff, even though me and another exhausted many an avenue trying to locate it. Even so much as talking to Penelope Spheris herself, who was very defensive when asked about it...
  18. let me just simplify it to 'you don't need any live albums from the last 30 years' [except Threshold - Critical Mass] There was something about live albums from back in the day that just made them special. Not sure what, but certainly nearly everything live album in recent times is just not needed. Excellent live albums that I still listen to - Black Sabbath - Live Evil Iron Maiden - Live After Death Thin Lizzy - Live & Dangerous Kiss - Alive II Journey - Captured/Live in Houston Whitesnake - Live In The Heart REO - Get What u Play For Motorhead - No Sleep Triumph - Stages That live Ozzy album with Randy Rhodes in it is a good one. Can't remember what it's called but everyone has it and it has Ozzy lifting Randy up on the cover. There are a few more as mentioned that are worth having around. I think the Rush All the Worlds A Stage is crucial, as is the epic Judas Priest Unleashed in the East. Nuggets Double Live Gonzo Johnny Cash Live At San Quinten There is an Upper Crust live album entitled Entitled which gets a good amount of rotation.
  19. How does the EP track list compares to the full length disc to be released? Are all the songs on the EP on the full length? Yes the four tunes on the EP are showing in the LP track list. However not unlike the Station EP I would assume different mixes at a minimum? The bassist and drummer are different as well from the EP to now.
  20. To paraphrase Geoff oh my that is gross. And the album cover is so so bad as well.
  21. https://www.facebook.com/Scarlett.rocktrujillo/ Nice demo from these Peruvian glamsters. A little rough production wise, but I am looking forward to hearing some more. https://youtu.be/HbTNyNkkedg
  22. Great song, but not even close to their best. Check out these two; Yes those 2 are also quite nice. Seems the Borders and Fences is an album to get...
  23. That's nice seriously. It's as if he listened to everything from Elfman and Doyle and the watched all the old Disney movies and then wrote a movie score.
  24. Yes very much want to hear something from this. No matter I am stoked for Jeff as he is a great drummer and a totally class act of a guy.
  25. Go here and by the EP immediately: http://www.temptband.com/ And read my review here: http://sleazeroxx.com/reviews/tempt-under-my-skin/
