  1. This should appeal to many as the musicianship is solid and Near and Far is a massive arena rocking cigarette light-esque tune with a very nice Tesla like solo and bloody hell is that title track not a frickin' jaw dropper of a rocker. Their debut just dropped this summer and it is entitled Purgatory Airlines. https://www.facebook.com/higherthanrock/ https://youtu.be/Pn0TEphC6PI Solid example of what they are like live: You can sample the rest here: https://higherthan.bandcamp.com/album/purgatory-airlines.
  2. The first video most definitely however that Demon Alcohol track is a dinger imho.
  3. DP message the band on FB, they also have an email addy their for folks like me with no FB. I'm told they are finalizing the cd order, which btw sounds like a nice package with an 8 page insert, over the next month. So the cd's should be available very soon. Nice bunch of guys and like many are quite pleased that anyone is chatting them up and interested in what they are doing. Which imho is a nice way of presenting yourselves in this rough n tumble business of rock n roll.

You want a piece too? Anyone here doesn't want a piece? I can spread the force and fury of my fists with great ease. And obviously if any one has missed the implications the fists punch and of course jerk things up and down to a climactic conclusion.

Geoff, are you friends with Nolan on FB? You might want to scope this dude out before lining up that battle?? [/quote And yes, Cody, Karpetface would love to beat you off. He actually posted about it on Facebook today. On who's chest?
  6. Nice tune from an impending album from this duo from Michigan. For fans of righteous hard rockin jam bands. https://www.facebook.com/TEMPLEBAND And speaking of righteous this cover of Kings X's Groove Machine is just that...
  7. Holy crap Frontiers is signing all the bands I post.
  8. Not a movie but made it through disc one of the first season of Penny Dreadful. Interesting Sherlock Holmes, Indiana Jones meets the X-Files kind of series set in the way back. Josh Hartnet and Tim Dalton are excellent.
  9. Excellent!!!! Nice vox, harmonies, guitars and a tasty hook all from this 3 piece cover band from Boston Massachusetts. https://www.facebook.com/NeonAlley http://www.dmvmusic.com/ https://youtu.be/lTVgxN5PvbA
  10. New album "Last Greetings From The Petting Zoo" is now out. https://youtu.be/I_unhIYqEB0 https://youtu.be/Mwwlht2zBWU
  11. Here is a phenomenal Japanese band playing some very good old school hard rock in the vein of Rainbow and the like. And yes they sing in the Queens English. https://www.facebook.com/forcefield2013/ http://forcefield0710.web.fc2.com/
  12. I think you answered your question in your last statement. From what I have read regarding this concert is that it was recorded and shown via MTV, sounds like a Westwood One recording and then released as mentioned as a laserdisc and also on VHS and eventually on DVD (it appears the DVD is a boot copy of the laserdisc), HOWEVER the CD release in 2002 was manufactured in MONO for unknown reasons giving it a very crummy quality.
  13. Can't say I know a thing with regards to the Warrant demos but, Blackfoot would have had something to say with regards to that album title, it is a good album and a nice cover to boot.
  14. Ha funny post start as I do see that word thrown about more oft than not.
  15. Montreal's Fractal Cypher set to release their debut LP entitled The Human Paradox September 7th. Nice sound and a cool video, quite enjoy this play through trend. 5:10 to 5;43 is my favorite part and 5:43 to 6:10 is a must for Kansas/keyboard solo fans. https://www.facebook.com/fractalcypher/
  16. Hailing from Quebec City this quartet goes old school and delivers in spades on their first long play Left To The Sharks just released in August. Nicely played boys! https://www.facebook.com/WarningSignMetal http://warningsign.bandcamp.com/
  17. The EP is and was perfection. This new song while being good they sound more like Jet than SA. Let's hope they crank up the distortion on future tracks and recapture that EP vibe. This Underdog track is more to my liking: https://soundcloud.com/smokinacesfin/the-underdog
  18. Solid sounding sleazy punky rock n roll. Looks as if they have been about as the Vamp In Paradise album looks like their fourth release... https://www.facebook.com/Black-Star-Furies-192268537482755/ http://blackstarfuries.ozak.it/
  19. This one is sleazy good fun! https://www.facebook.com/Barbies-n-Dangers-192867234070550/ https://youtu.be/-xwtY_ZVLco
  20. That's right stellar. Of course you can all bag on it as it is not sung in the queens English, but in glorious Espaniol. That said if Ladrón De Sueños doesn't have you humming along and air guitaring like a fiend your tone deaf and/or brain dead. https://www.facebook.com/grupohardlove/ https://youtu.be/6hPuLnSBrN8
  21. Funky hard rock stuff in the style of Ugly Kid Joe, Cherry Poppin' Daddies, Love On Ice and White Trash. https://www.facebook.com/BadManKeys/
  22. Very listenable and quite enjoyable. Bridge to Mars a power-trio from Stockholm Sweden. JJ Marsh: Guitar/vocals Robert Hansen Bass Thomas Broman: Drums and cowbell With influences like Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, Yes, The Black Crowes, The Who, Soundgarden, Rush, Black Sabbath, Van Halen and yes … ABBA! they´ve managed to create their own unique sound. JJ and Thomas played together when they were in Glenn Hughes’s band and also with the Hughes Turner Project. JJ´s made nine albums with Glenn Hughes and the Hughes Turner Project and has written a number of songs for Glenn. Thomas was in Glenn´s touring band for four years and also did two European tours with the Hughes Turner Project. After having toured with each other for years, backing other rockstars up, JJ and Thomas thought it was time to do something together as a band, wich they did in 2013 and later brought in the bearded bass master Robert Hansen. JJ´s previous work: Spellbound, Glenn Hughes, and HTP (Hughes Turner Project). Thomas´s previous work: Great King Rat, Electric Boys, Send No Flowers, John Norum, Silver Ginger 5, Firebird, Humanimal, Joe Lynn Turner, Conny Bloom, Glenn Hughes, HTP (Hughes Turner Project), Michael Schenker. Robert is also the bass player in the Swedish progrock band Beardfish and has been involved in many other projects. https://www.facebook.com/BridgeToMars http://www.bridgetomarsband.com/
