  1. It's really not a big deal.

I get that there is a lot of AOR here, and that's cool.

I guess my only point is that if it isn't AOR, mentioning it in the title would peak my interest and I'd open the thread and give it a listen more.

Biker Rock is simply what you'd expect to see at a biker gathering

Rough and ready, dirty hard rock. Southern Rock, Classic Rock. Country Rock

The Poor, Little Caesar, ZZ Top, Trucker Diablo, Moly Hatchet, Jackyl, maybe Kix

  2.

yeah that first song especially is very good

I must miss so much stuff like this every year , When it comes to melodic rock/ AOR, pretty much everything worth listening to is discussed or at least mentioned between here and melodicrock.com

but there really doesn't seem to be a specific site for modern rock, maybe as its a broad genre and hard to categorise perhaps

Yeah I find that most threads I open turn out to be pretty much AOR, which I'm not really all that in to.

Would love a tag on each thread - AOR, progressive, sleaze, blues metal, even things like biker rock give an indication to what kind of music it is.

I'd probably discover more stuff I'm interested in that way.

    Then quit searching through the AOR forums. ;}

Throw me a better option and I'll leave you alone... :)

  4. Really like the first song on first listen.
    Second one was ok/good

I Was Made For Lovin' You was different. Didn't like it at first, but it grew on my like I didn't expect. Will never be a favorite cover, but I will find it listenable.

Forth song was weird. Keyboards and cookie monster growls.

I'll give this band a go.

    Thanks for the post.

  5. For me Scared is an OK song.
Agree that there are MANY better including the 3 listed above.

Pissed is a killer album. Shits all over the first 2 for me.

r*tist is also amazing IMO, but most won't agree.

I always think people lump it in the same categories as The Elder, Belly To Belly, Chinese Democracy etc.

Alternative vibe to it, but if you take away the surrounding songs, some really stand out like Heard It All, Transmission, Better To Die and of course Cure the Sane :)

  6. Guess the word 'glam' is the key.

Most will say Motley and GNR are glam, but I never saw them that way.

The Sweet, T-rex, PBF are what I'd call glam

Not a big fan as a whole but for me some great albums are

Funhouse - Generation Generator --- One Fun House is an amazing song

Electrik - Love Buzz Harmony is amazing --- this is one album everyone should have period

Bai Bang - All Around The World --- Not sure if Bai Bang fit my description for glam, but I think glam when I hear their music

Bai Bang - Livin' My Dream

  7. I've never seen a Tattoo on a waman and it made me think "that's cute" because I dislike them so much.

Yeah, I tend to agree with that.

Some are ok, but I don't really see many on women that attract me in any other way than fascination of temporary intrigue.

Having said that, if my wife got one that wasn't in a place I really dislike (front of the thigh, arm, face, feet, or I guess even the whole legs) then I doubt I'd be all that upset if it was one I liked.

I don't have any. I wanted one when I was 25 or so, and the advice given to me was "if you still want one at 35, then go for it" 35 came and I no longer wanted either the tattoo I selected, nor a tattoo at all.

Love watching ink master, and one day I may get one, but it will likely be a 'personal tattoo'. Not necessarily in a hidden place, but one which means something to me that I'm less likely to regret.

  8. I'm gonna do my current musical taste.

So basically songs that I REALLY like at the moment - some of these are older, but I've been listening to them a lot.

    Pop Evil - Footsteps

Wig Wam - Hard To Be A Rock And Roller

Hot Action Cop - Picture Me

Five Finger Death Punch - Wrong Side Of Heaven

    Slash - I Hold On

    Wayland - Get A Little

Foo Fighters - Something From Nothing

Bad City - Call Paul Stanley

    Sonic Syndicate - Revolution Baby

    Bobaflex - I'm Glad You're Dead

  9.

Yep, that's what pissed me off.

The mentality of "wow, people here don't like it, so I'm not going to bother"

Give it a fair listen, and if you hate it, come out and say so, based on what actually entered your ears.

If you like his music, then you should be prepared to give a new disc a few listens.

Sorry this pisses you off, I just don't care to hear this. If you're ever in North Carolina, I'd LOVE to talk you about this, face to face.

You mean rather than over a keyboard?

Note to self: Don't ever go to North Carolina

    lolz :9mm:
