Bret Michaels re-released some songs 3 or 4 times
What Comes Around is an amazing album.
Then they did a Skid Row and increased the heavy for Fist First, and while it was good, just wasn't the same.

What Comes Around Goes Around = Original
Fist First = Original
Religious Fix = Fist First
Decade Of Disrespect = Best of with some lower grade add ins
Regurgitation = Demos & live songs
History Of Tuff = Best of
Live In The U.K = Live
What Comes Around Goes Around... Again! = Remake
The Glam Years 1985-1989 = Remasters

Batman vs Superman.
Actually thought this one was pretty good.
Possibly a classic case of hearing millions of poor reviews and going in expecting it to be complete shit.
They are clearly trying to do an Avengers type of franchise, but seems less likely given that this movie didn't do so well.
Maybe they'll do a Captain America and make movies 2 and 3 much much better and it will take off....

I bookmarked this one to have a look at, probably based on one song I heard.
Not sure which one that was, but having heard all the samples above, I'm not too sure about this.
Ballads are probably what I'll gravitate towards.
The 'heavier' songs sound very 'contained' to me.
This is probably because of the vocals which are kinda Ted Poleyish and have that soft tone.
I generally prefer a louder, slightly rawer sound, but I'll still give it a go.

Anyone interested in live tracks as extras?
I much prefer acoustic versions if they can change them up enough.
Or even better, a couple of the songs that didn't fit the vibe of the record as extras. For live track, if I'm interested, which is rare these days, I'll get a live album.
Pretty unique when the live track supplies interest in that version.
Tesla did it well, Kiss were unique in that the band and songs progressed a lot and the live versions were sometimes better than the originals (RNR All Nite) -
I remember getting the album with Six Feet Under on it.
That was the only song I liked.
Then I heard some newer stuff and decided to go back and retry the other album.
It was better than I recalled and not I quite like it.
For me they are that type of band where you need a few listens for most of their stuff.

I liked all of the albums as they were released.
After Crush it just got a bit boring for me overall.
At around the time of Crush, I would have rated the earlier albumsNew Jersey
Slippery
These Days
S/T
Keep Ths Faith
Crush
7800

I like this song, but I know I'm gonna love it after a few more listens.

Vocals remind me a lot of the Doc Neeson

Hugh's in the band!
Wonder if he gets to be in the film clips as well now?I think I heard a new song on the radio the other day which sounded a lot like them.
Light poppy rock is the best way to describe it. Sounded ok, but I'm not inspired to run out and buy the CD.
They lost me around Crush.
Amazingly this is right about half way through their career time wise and album wise.
I'm not sitting here wondering what I missed... lol
To their credit, they made all the right moves to perpetuate themselves.
Had they not started targeting the light rock crowd, they surely would have died.

Went in with high hopes after lots of good reviews.
And it lived up to them which was nice.
Additions of a couple of other superheroes added a lot to the movie and they were used really well.

While I'm at it I'll post this one as well, for those who haven't seen the clip.
Takes a bit of a twist half way through

Poison - Until You Suffer Some (Fire & Ice):
Most people can't pick one favorite song, but I can, and this is it.
Hard to explain why. When I first heard it I really didn't like it instantly.
It grew on me fairly fast, and that coupled with the lyrics and video melded fairly well with where i was in my life at the time.

Gene's songs take a few listens to work their way into your system IMO

Awesome
-
1. Hardcore Superstar - C'mon Take Me On
2. Bobaflex - Charlatan's Web
3. Bai Bang - All Around The World
4. Buckcherry - Confessions
5. Love Cream - First Taste
6. Pop Evil - Onyx
7. Tom Keifer - The Way Life Goes
8. Mike Tramp - Cobblestone Street
9. The Fuzz Drivers - ST
10. The Answer - New Horizon
I like that HS album but they had started to slide imho......not quite the perfection of the previous few albums and of course we all know the disaster which followed
Hope they see the error of their ways and get back on track with a killer new album in 2017 (hopefully!)
Yeah, for me this album was their peak.
Expected WAAAAAY too much from the most recent one and was just let down.
Sad, don't know what they were thinking.
Maybe the market in Europe is after that kind of stuff?

Die Hard - because my 14 y/o daughter hadn't seen it. Still as good as ever.
Independence Day - because other kids hadn't seen that and it's always good to revisit the first before you see the sequel.
