Sounds like a sexual thing obviously.
Hard to be too involved in that, some people are into weird shit and maybe he awakened her to it?
I understand your feeling of helplessness though, and you were right to walk away.My best friend is getting divorced.
Marriage was around 15 years and he ended up cheating on her with his masseuse, who doesn't hold Australian citizenship.
Ended up deciding to leave his wife (they have 2 kids together)
He made the decision for himself and his happiness.
Whilst I morally object to the way he went about it, this is not really my business so I support his changes.
What I tried to help out with was the legal stuff. Together he and his wife own a lot of property and she was clearly looking to secure everything she could, and also the majority of access to their kids.
My friend is living for his happiness, and not thinking too much about long term, he just wants out.
So I went with him to the first couple of meetings with his lawyers to make sure they were aware of everything they needed to know.
He was on the right track, but ha since slipped off into "getting it all out of the way" and I know he will sacrifice a lot financially and also with his kids.
But I am not getting involved again, I did what I could to get him of the right path and the choices he makes now are at least educated and made knowing the consequences.
Some people you just can't help and have to let them make their own path....

OK thanks, I'll give it a go

Is that a more recent release?
I'm trying to avoid going backwards with bands.
Really hard to get in to a lot of 80's & 90's music retrospectively.

Just got through listening to both of these albums.
Most of it really didn't grab me.
From S/T
Don't fail Me Now was ok
One More Day was the best song
Fire & Ice was ok
From Searande
How Far I Run is the best track
Love Won't Last was ok.
In the end I just couldn't do all the keyboards, and found all the songs to be kind of the same. Vocals were unvaried and predictable.

Should have been released as "mobile" over here so Aussies know what it's about.
Although The Road Warrior is Mad Max, and Angel City are The angels

We ended up doing all the Rocky's, with Creed finishing it off a few nights ago.
My wife enjoyed them, but after the last one said "now YOU owe ME six movies" which is a bit scammy as the shit I'm going to have to endure compared to the highly regarded Rocky series will be hard to take.
She pulled Across The Universe, which isn't too bad as I've seen it before and kind of enjoyed.
The others won't be so kind I think.
Also saw "Cell" with Samuel L Jackson and John Cusack. Stephen King movie.
Was ok, but only ok.

or Steven Tyler

Hotel California wasn't too bad.
The rest.... meh...

Just did a forum search for this album after I posts in the Song Of The Day thread.
I guess I should apologize for bringing the album to everyone's attention again.
Anyway, I really like it. Shame it wasn't received with an open mind....
-
I'd say by now he's more into boys
-
OK, here's one from left field.
If you like your Scandinavian sounding operatic Meat Loafesque metal, then this may be for you.
An acquired taste - you have to commit to listening with an open mind, and let yourself be immersed in the music.
I really like the whole album...

Probably motivated to write some good emotional shit while in prison lol

Oh, Biker Rock. I understand now. If you want to search the forums I think the key would be to search for "Terrible Music" and you'll get plenty of hits. 'Cause that's how most people refer to it.
haha, was browsing old threads and came across this. Guess I should have actually done a forum search

Can't help you, but it's the type of song that they'd play leading into an ad break during the football in my country.
In fact I discover new music by watching the football.
Only ones who really play any hard rock
-
Yeah they did reform with the original singer, who from memory used to sing all of the songs before they brought Josh in, but missed out on being on the album.
Didn't work. They kinda didn't handle it too well, showing up without the singer the crowd expected etc.
I think they realised that they wouldn't be able to recover.
Initially when they fired Josh, the posted ion facebook "A few astute fans noticed that our singer is different than last time we came around. Say hello to Alec! He's been slaying it on this KISS tour and taking BadCity to a new level. BC kicked out Josh because he had a very serious personal conflict with the rest of the band, and we had to let him go. But let's not rain on the parade, the KISS shows are off to a BLAZING start, and we can't wait to see you people!"Then he was charged, and went to jail, for 7 years I believe.

I thinks it a pretty good list. I like most of what you have on there. I don't care for bands like Nelson or Pop Evil but just one thing I feel is glaringly omitted: NOT ONE TESLA CD OR DOKKEN CD ON THIS LIST?
WTF!?
Have u heard the new Sixx AM ? I think its possibly their best
I've only heard it a couple of times while driving.
TBH I tired of the vocals a bit - he really is a bit 'one trick'.
The first one I thought was great, the second one also great, after that I found it hard to commit.
But what I've heard from the latest so far has been interesting and I think may be a winner.
My son swears by it, and he considers them his favorite band.
I was surprised overall at how many older albums got in.
Never expected to re-hash all the Bon Jovi albums, but really when you look at them, they contain amazing stuff, with little filler.
I'm sure I'll be ripped a bit with the Kiss albums I put in.And the ones I didn't.
I'd say that 9/10 people would rate Ace's solo over Paul's
We would disagree a lot on somethings on this list (like AC/DC Back in Black number 94?) but the one thing I agree with is that Paul Stanley's solo album is better than Ace's. The one thing that saved this list for me is all the KISS albums in it.
Mechanical Resonance nearly made it, but in the end I found that all of their albums contained a few great songs, a few good ones and a few average one.
I love the band, but they just don't have an album that is all killer no filler.
Same with Ratt - 81 - 91 is great, but I never really got into their individual albums.
Never a big fan of Dokken. Like some songs, but that's about it.
Kind of sacrosanct to omit all that AC/DC. I like their music, but am not a hug fan, even though I'm an Aussie.
Never really did Metallica, but I like some songs.
I had to be pretty tough. Poison - Native Tongue contains my favorite song, and 2 or 3 others that I love, but couldn't have it on my list because there are 3 or 4 songs I really don't like.
I guess my list contains albums where I can play the record from start to finish without too much skipping.
-
Appreciate the effort that went into the list....Seems like more weight is being given to "older" albums and not much to "newer" bands like Eclipse or H.e.a.t who have both provided some fantastic melodic hard rock over the past few years.
I'll admit though....I've never even heard of Bad City, Hot Action Cop or Loud & Clear....For a million dollars right now I couldn't name you one song by any of them...Maybe I need to check them out
Sometime I'll have to sit down and try to make a list like this...I don't think I'd have the patience to do 100. I'd be lucky if I could make it to 25.
Like I said, I wouldn't have been arsed doing this list unless I have a reason (exposure of some great music to my kids)
Bad City is amazing hard rock full of hooks and probably the best vocalist I've heard. Their first song "Call Paul Stanley" was brought to Paul Stanley's attention who then heard the album and declared it one of the best albums he'd heard in years. They also toured with kiss after that. Album is only a 6 years old, so fairly recent.

Loud & Clear was a bit of a weird one that popped up to me for some reason and was full of killer songs, again, all with great hooks etc. 2002
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wrxRKJwlME
Hot Action Cop did a song you probably would have heard - Fever For The Flava. Pretty big radio hit. Most won't like them, as they're not straight up metal, but with a bit of rappiness to some of the vocals on some songs, but I checked out the album on a whim and there's only one song that I don't totally love. 2003

Yeah, in the end Josh Caddy made the band, and once he was booted, they died.
-
Been a pretty dry year for my tastes.
I've only picked up a handful of new music from 2016 - the rest is new to me, but from the last few years.
I'd have to go with
Bridgeville - Mystic River
Bridgeville - Bridge To A Broken Heart
Sixx AM - Better Man
Sixx AM - Rise
Cheap Trick - Heart On The Line (anyone else thing this could have been a Billy Idol song?)
Avantasia - Mystery of A Blood Red Rose (the Meat Loaf song lol)

So my kids asked me what my top 10 albums were, and I listed a few, to find that they hadn't heard probably half of them.
So I sat down to make a top 20 which quickly turned into a top 100.
Thought it was worthwhile so they have a guide to choose 'new' music when they are in the mood.
I restricted this list to the heavier side.
Meat Loaf just scraped in to that genre (rightly or wrongly)
So here is what I came up with.
Feel free to rip it apart, comment positive and negative - I won't be offended because it's simply what I like, but am always interested in what others think I've over-rated or what has been glaringly omitted in their opinions

I haven't had anything to do with my sister for maybe 30 years.
My mother allowed her to sleep in the same bed as her boyfriend when she was 15 and he was 18, and I objected to that.
caused all sorts of issues, and she basically stopped talking to me (with my mothers' guidance)
I tried a couple of times over the years to make things good, but each time my mother intervened and it fell to shit.
Last time I told her that if she wants anything to do with me it's up to her to initiate. That was maybe 15 years ago.
Not something I stress about, I simply don't know her, so I don't miss her at all.
On the other hand, my mother is a nasty piece of work.
Simply, my life is better without her in it causing all shirts of shit.
What's mentioned above is the tip of the iceberg into her manipulations etc.
