Saw an interview with Tommy and John 5 and John said that this new single was just the band playing in the studio.
It was like the 2nd or 3rd take of the band just playing.
What a load of shit. Nikki on bass?
Does anyone actually think that Vince is capable of singing though a song to create a studio quality recording? Let alone in a few takes?
Anyway, I really like the song after a few goes.

Only got 4 keepers off Bleeders, but before that got 9 off Wretched And Divine and 10 off Set The World On Fire, so hopefully this one is a return to before the last album.

Wow, harsh critics here.
I missed their last album for some reason so just listening to that in line with this one.
Most of my attention has gone to this new albumFL89
At The Radio Station
From AboveAre the early standouts for me.
I don't mind his voice, bit shakey at times, but the more you listen the more you seem to move on from noticing.
Musically it's full of melodies and hooks with no syrupy synth so I like it. -
Didn't mind it, it will grow on me, I can tell.
Vince seems to have dropped a register or two for most of the song.
Dare say they want him to be able to sing it live.
Kind of reminded me of when mark slaughter used his lower register, completely different obviously, but same vibe.

Anyone with a brain and common sense.
Ok, so I have no brain or common sense. Nice.
Or, maybe I never met Mick, had no personal relationship with him, and saw him as some dude who played guitar in a band who's songs I liked.
Emotionally investing yourself in the personal lives of people you pay to entertain you must be very draining. Band tried to screw him over, he's fighting back, in the end he can sit on his mountain of cash and relax regardless.

To be fair, I've found most of Bach's solo stuff to be pretty good, some of the ballads have been killer.
Kinda wish he'd give up on the Skid Row sooking. They don't like you dude. Why would you want to go back there?
Looking forward to Myles Kennedy collabs

Who really give a shit about poor Mick?
Yeah he was done dirty. Big deal, happens all the time and it happened after they had retired lol
Anyway, will be interesting to see how I hear the album knowing that the vocals are 30+ takes spliced together. lol

Pretty sure there used to be one here that people would add to and repost as they saw fit.
Anyone have a list of upcoming releases?
Just saw that the Gun album was out, last I recall I posted saying I was looking forward to it, next thing I know it's been out for over a month.
Don't wanna miss anything.

I’d like to say that they more or less evolved.Since their comeback release-Brave New World-they’ve been putting out longer songs which means every CD is over an hour. I personally like Book of Souls and Senjutsu, didn’t care for Final Frontier. If you want a more catchy music I would recommend getting Bruce’s new solo release
Actually tattooed millionaire, the song, came on the other day and I enjoyed it a lot.
From memory it was the only real stand out for me with that solo album, but may be worth another listen. May also give the new one a go. 😆

So as I've mentioned before, I'm in a period where I get to churn through a huge amount of albums that I've accumulated over the last few years and have banked up due to me being pretty busy.
Been traveling a lot, and when I'm home, I've been walking to work and back (40 mins each way) so have had heaps of time to get through the music. So I've made it through over 50 albums in the last 6 months, and now I have only 9 left in my spotify.
They are the ones I've put off as they are take a lot of listen to get into and include Revolution Saints, Jeff Scott Soto, Iron Maiden and Asking Alexandria (not sure why that one is on my list)
So today I put Maiden on. Book Of Souls.
I've moved away from Maiden for years now, last great album was Somewhere In Time for me, after that they got boring.
So I'm listening to Book Of Sould for the second time, and jesus, not sure what happened to them.
Are they classed as prog now? They sound like it.Only ones that have provided any hope of being any good are Tears Of A Clown, Elpire Of The Coulds, and Shadows Of The Valley (which has hope only really because of teh Wasted Years vibe)
So wondering if they have gradually been changing, and I'm dropping back in to a prog Maiden, or maybe they just don't wrioote hooky, melodic, catchy songs any more?- 1

Don't hate any artists.
Obviously some annoy me more than others, usually due to over playing on the radio etc.
Missing You - John Waite and Drive - The Cars are pretty good examples of songs I started to hate, but over the years started to like them.
Most bands I don't like I just stay away from.
The Darkness, Ozzy, Motorhead, etc
can't do many of the lived Aussie acts like Hoodoo Gurus, nick Cave, Wolfmother, Jet, Savage Garden, Black Sorrows, Powderfinger, The Living End, Paul Kelly, Boom Crash Opera.
hard to avoid these here though 😮💨

I don't really go for this reissue crap.
Only chance I'd make would be to add Edge Of A Broken Heart which was the B side to either Living On A Prayer or YGLABN and should have always made the cut in place of Social Disease.

While not as classic as their early stuff, I thought tracks like Jumpin, Take it off, Don't you fade on me, I'd rather be making love, Prime time & Door to door were cool songs. I will admit the sound on Prime time was a bit muffled though.
+1
Regarding any upcoming gig, to make it an easier transition they should dedicate it to CJ, all proceeds go to his family etc.

It doesn't work for me, but I've made my feelings known about women singers I don't know my ears just don't like it but thats me.
Yeah I'm the same.
Replacing male with female is a big call.
These days I don't listen to much female led music, but Attractive Chaos is excellent.

Appreciate that he did his own thing with it.
Either gonna come off or not. For me, not.
I fucking hate it.
Just a blend of flesh for fantasy with the old version and he bastardises the words.
Enamore, enamore, enamore....

Road House
Loved it.
Connor McGregor was funny as hell.
Whole movie was well done in a turn your brain off way

This was a great album.
I got 9 keepers from it, and not many of them just scraped in, most were pretty good songs.
Superstition is nice as well.- 1

Ah, maverick are probably one of only a handful of bands who I know will deliver these days.
Can't wait.
-
Some great songs there
I place them somewhere between the phone number album and the earlier stuff.
I like the phone number album. If they had progressed to it over time I think it would be better regarded, but at the time was a shock to the system of die hard fans.
Anyway, look forward to this new album.

Bottas spends the off season in Australia. I think his partner is Aussie.
So we kind of adopted him.
He rivals Riccardo and Piastri.

Yeah I'm loving the break.
I've been churning through my backlog of albums I hadn't get to yet.
Currently listening to WASP, crowne, dynasty and stombreaker.
Would be nice for a change to be listening to a new album the same time as everyone else.
Did that somewhat with Russell guns but not many here seemed too into it
I've also been walking to work and back (yes, I still have a driver's licence) so have had an additional 1 1/2 hours a day listening while I walk.
At the airport now and have a bunch of newish albums to listen to while I relax in Darwin.

Pretty sure this band is not for me
Reminds me of Georgio Moroder type stuff from the 80s
