  1. Not blown away but will definitely give the new album a chance once it's out
  2. Found this in a secondhand store about 9 or 10 years ago on vinyl during the brief period I was collecting LPs. One look at the back cover gave me enough reasons to give this one a try: 1989, Beau Hill, Paul Winger, Steve Thompson and Michael Barbiero.... you can't possibly go wrong with all those ingredients Sure, it's no classic. But I love the vibe and attitude of this band, they're so ''out there'' . The guitars and in your face vocals of opener ''Shake It'' were enough for me to know I had made the right decision getting this record
  3. Happy for everyone who likes this, but saying these new songs sound anything like the ones from the debut sure is stretching it a bit
  4. Ahh yes, that one was quite funny. Watched the sequel the other week but fell asleep during that one The first one is great and always worth a watch, so many funny moments and quotes in this one! - So you took the penis foods as an invitation to fuck her? - No, I took her invitation to fuck her as an invitation to fuck her
  5. Oops my bad, just saw there's already a thread from May 14. The one time I don't do a search and sure enough, there already is a thread.....
  6. I thought the same, that's why I splurged and went for the CD, only 3 $ more. They've been around for a number of years now but the album is fairly recent October or November 2016 I think
  7. Just found these guys, usually not a big fan of this type of music but I think this is pretty well done: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywMAAEIb5YE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skrtQD9NXLM They have one album out which is only available through their bandcamp: https://clientliaison.bandcamp.com/
  8. My impression so far is this: first 4 tracks good and diverse, after that the songs don't grab me as much. Pretty much my summation too after about 5 spins Wait, what??? You dudes have lost it........... What about 'One of Life's Mysteries', 'Bite the Bullet' and 'Things I Knew' which are basically the best 3 songs. Also United and Gravity (which are in the first 4 last time I checked ) are just a bit normal imo. Maybe it's just track order, because United is the first song and I'm still like ''okay, it's no killer but I ain't bored yet :D'' so could be that it's working in that track's favor haha Gravity is ''normal'' yeah, but I love the verses, really groovy guitar work I think. But like I said, will have to give it a few more (dedicated) listens to see how I feel about the whole album
  9. My impression so far is this: first 4 tracks good and diverse, after that the songs don't grab me as much. Maybe I need to focus more as I find myself spacing out and not really paying attention to the later songs
  10. Got this last Friday, decent album with a few good tracks again. The two tracks released beforehand are definitely two of the highlights. I'll try to make a mix CD with tracks from both albums and all their EPs

    Going bald

He must have perfecterd it with Joe Lynn Turner while they were in Rainbow together
  12. Participated in the pledge, got the CD last week.... and STILL haven't listened to the whole album
  13. For those who have heard the new album already, how does it compare to 13??
  14. So right now I alternate between the following: Crazy Lixx's Ruff Justice, a self-made White Widdow Greatest Hits (which has been in rotation since December) and currently a mix CD with stuff I've felt like listening to such as Haywire, Steelhouse Lane and Defiants among others
  15. I'd just like to add the following: while I do have a pretty big music library on 2 hard drives (exact copies just to be on the safe side in case one of them dies) and listen to a lot of music on my computer.... for listening to music in my car I only use CDs and have found that it's better for me. I see all my friends hook up their phones via Bluetooth, USB, AUX or whatever and just listen to songs in shuffle mode. BUT... they keep skipping and skipping and skipping, it's just too much to choose from. I don't assume that's the case with you Glen as I'm sure you decide what you want to listen to before a drive or a commute and just stick to that for the most part. But most of the time I have 2 or 3 CDs in my car at a time, one or 2 full albums I'm currently listening to and my latest mix CD with around 70 - 75 mins of music on it. And those mix CDs usually last me a couple weeks until I get bored and burn a new one. But until I do that I've listened to the whole CD in my car countless times and never skipped a song cause I've thought about what songs I want on there, in what order and all that stuff
  16. Saw someone posted a link to ''Superlove'' on FB this morning and thought some of you might like this. The songs I've heard so far are interesting, not exactly sure how to describe it but the songs have a current pop / rock feel to them with a bit of an edge at times. They've been around for a while now and already have 2 albums out, I'll definitely dig a bit further. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQ59HPH2X20 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=km0Byzc4UfM
  17. Definitely the Defiants disc for me, still like spinning it over a year after its release. It's an album you can play front to back withouth skipping plus it takes me back to last summer which is an added bonus
  18. Listened to Ruff Justice with headphones twice last night, really nice album with great moments throughout. All tracks sound really different from each other but every song has something unique to offer. Definitely been a grower for me so far and I think I'll be playing it for a while to come Only track I don't really like (I think the singer said it's his favorite) is ''Snakes In Paradise'' but didn't bother me THAT much during the last two spins
  19. Really not what I was expecting, can't see myself getting into this
  20. I think I'll tune in this Saturday as well ;-) last time I did must have been about 3 years ago Was quite good actually at that time they were promoting H.E.A.T.'s ''Tearing Down The Walls'' and the Three Lions album and playing tracks other than the singles prior to the albums' releases
