    NFL 2018

Honestly, the game looked fixed. The Rams offense didn't look that bad all season and the Patriots defense isn't that good. I bet they cheated again and either taped the Rams practices or got ahold of their playbook. I hate Boston fans. Smug bastards.

I think the Saints would have beat NE. Credit where it's due, they dominated the Rams offense and won the game. The halftime show was so bad, I flipped the channel to the Puppy Bowl. And i still hate Belichick and Brady, and can't wait until both are gone and the Patriots are lovable losers once again.
  4. from the interwebz: German rockers RAZZMATTAZZ have been out there for a while, and now they're ready to release "Hallelujah", their 4th full length album next February 6. This is good old fashioned, headbangin' riff-driven hard rock à la Airbourne or AC/DC blended with a handful of ZZ Top biker vibes. "Hallelujah" is all about fun; 3-minute songs, catchy and very well crafted. The heart of Razzmattazz is Tom Schaupp, singer, guitar player, songwriter and founder of the band, which combines two essential things; raspy vocals - perfect for this musical style - and cool. precise, easy guitar riffs. Sure, in terms of sound the influences are AC/DC, Rose Tattoo, Airbourne, ZZ Top, Nazareth, Status Quo, but the guys also add little nuances to Judas Priest or Saxon on a couple of songs. These guys grow up listening to this classic stuff, and it's reflected on their music. Among the best tracks there's 'As Loud As You Can', 'Crazy For Rock'n Roll', 'Going Down', and the midtempo bluesy "Cold Rain". "Hallelujah" is pure rock n' roll, a positive-energy album to enjoy cranked to 11. It's all classic stuff, simple and effective, but you gotta be good to play this music right, and Razzmattazz has the blood & soul to do it. Rocks 01 - A Gun For Hire 02 - Crazy For Rock And Roll 03 - Backdoor Man 04 - Lawbreaker 05 - Cold Rain 06 - Hallelujah 07 - Going Down 08 - Drive-By Shooter 09 - Payment Day 10 - As Loud As You Can Tom Schaupp - vocals, guitar Peter Ucik - bass Ulf S. 8. from interwebz and FNA Records: Including ex- members of Nebraska rock bands Airstrike and Blitz'n, COWBOY X was formed at the beginning of 1990 and though their time as band was brief, managed to do full club tours across the US Midwest and release a 6 song cassette featuring some of their strongest songs. Fast forward 2019 all these recordings plus 6 previously unreleased tracks are being officially put on CD for the first time under the title "Can't Stop Rockin'". Taking a quick look at COWBOY X promotional photos - big hair, AquaNet and snake boots - you can guess the musical style of the band: US melodic hard rock with a classic late '80s / early 90s sound. It was early 1990 and the local music scene in Nebraska was awash with bands covering '80s hair metal and not many acts were writing & recording original music. Fed up with the bar band and cover tune attitude of so many bands, COWBOY X was developed with original music in mind. The band consisted of former members of Airstrike, who had a very successful independent release, as well as members of Blitz'n, Z-92 Radios Local Lick’s winner. The band recorded six songs of its 30-song catalog for Direct Hit Records as an EP for shopping major record labels. Shotgun Management and Direct Hit Records’ intentions were to have COWBOY X finish recording a full-length release, then do a full club / hall tour in the Midwest at the end of 1990 before signing with a major label. They drew the attention of some big hitters in the industry, however as we know, the music scene at that time was about to change very dramatically away from LA style hard rock & melodic hard rock toward Seattle based grunge & alternative. The 6 songs on the EP locally released in late 1990 were tracked in the basement studio of drummer Michael Watson who ran a part-time business under the name Skeleton Crew Music. They were mixed and mastered down to ¼ tape in a local professional studio. Although the musical shift was clearly happening, the sales of the COWBOY X EP did very well into early 1991, a limited release which turned sold out. As example, songs like the melodic n' catchy 'Jealousy' brings to mind Dokken late era, the anthemic title track 'Can't Stop Rockin' Motley Crue circa Girls Girls Girls, then the midtempo ballad 'Higher You Get' has a Warrant / Jani Lane imprint all over it. 'Need To No' is harder, with some Icon over it, and while the additional songs hasn't the same audio quality (8-track demos), all are a nice showcase of the underground melodic hard rock scene at the time. This collection of songs for the first time on CD / available world-wide is cool sample of that time in history from the effervescent US melodic hard rock scene. Very cool unreleased stuff 01 - Dreamin' 02 - Hard Times Go 03 - Jealousy 04 - Can't Stop Rockin' 05 - Higher You Get 06 - Need To No 07 - Dreamin (Demo) 08 - Hard Times (Demo) 09 - Nice And Nasty (Demo) 10 - Runner (Demo) 11 - Need 2 No (Demo) 12 - Don't Give Up (Demo) Gregg Lee - Vocals David Marshall Hughes, Barry Engle - Guitars Randy Cotton - Bass Michael Watson - Drums BUY IT ! fnarecords.net/index.php/cowboy-x.html
  9. Thought you Aussie's would know these guys. Killer disc IMO.
  10. I agree Geoff. Easily the top track on a crap album. The guys continue to disappoint.
  11. guitarist Oz Osukaru has posted on the board.
  12. from the interwebz: Australian sleazy hard rockers SNAKE BITE WHISKY are releasing their debut full-length studio album "This Side Of Hell", and while recorded in Down Under, it sounds like taped back in 1987 in a L.A. Snake Bite Whisky was formed in December 2014 and after 2 EP's has quickly established themselves as Australia's number one sleazy band rapidly gaining a large following in the international glam/sleazy scene. Likened to early Guns N' Roses with a healthy dose of Motley Crue and Motörhead's heaviness, the Snakes are determined to bring the style and attitude of the '80s Sunset Strip scene, kicking and screaming into the present, bringing something fresh to the global hair metal revival. Snake Bite Whisky already supported major acts and toured Europe & the US, and played at the Cruefest at the Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood. Indeed, they belong there... "This Side Of Hell" is pure '80s sleazy with 'y', meaning the American sound of the genre. While influences abound, these guys have their own, no compromise style. This is full throttled yet melodic in yer face sleazy soaked rock n' roll. There's plenty of guitar attack on 'Damnation Alley' and the anthemic 'Ain't Dead Yet' (early Skid Row on steroids), a mammoth groove in 'Spin', and a dirty punch on the nasty 'B.A.M.' More melodic with swirling solos ala Faster Pussycat is 'Last Man Standing', while 'Another Day' brings some calm (not a ballad though). Mid-paced, 'New Revolution' has some LA Guns in the riffage, then the album end with the proper full sleazy feat of 'She Likes Machines', where I found a little of Alice Cooper in the approach. 'Uncompromised' is the best word to define Snake Bite Whisky's full-length debut album "This Side Of Hell"; this is pure Americanized sleazy hard rock, from style to attitude. These Aussie guys don't care trends or 'commercial potential'; they play the music they want and they do it darn well. So if you miss this type of rock n' roll unpolluted by record label executives, grab "This Side Of Hell" now. ROCKS 01 - Damnation Alley 02 - Down in the Dirt 03 - Ain't Dead Yet 04 - Spin 05 - B.A.M. 06 - Last Man Standing 07 - Drinking for Two 08 - Another Day 09 - New Revolution 10 - She Likes Machines Jay R - Vocals David Arens - Guitars Stacii Blake - Bass Al "Ace" Bukva - Drums BUY IT ! www.amazon.com/This-Side-Hell-Snake-Whisky/dp/B07KLPTWVW .
  13. Really? from the interwebz: QUIET RIOT's performance at Frontiers Rock Festival 2018 marked the band's first-ever concert in Italy. This special event is now being released on CD/DVD and Blu-ray titled "One Night In Milan". Seems Quiet Riot were eager to bring the party to Frontiers Rock Festival. With such a monumental occasion it only seemed fitting to record the entire show and bring us as an album. This is the latest installment from the band since their 2017 release of Road Rage, which was new material. Despite the 35 years in the business, the band still know how to pull in a crowd and perform. "One Night In Milan" is a fantastic insight into the kind of performance this band is capable of. From the beginning of the album and set, the band are ready to throw themselves into the performance and frontman James Durbin is even more ready to provide all he can for the fans. His crowd interaction heard on the album shows that he is all about engaging with the crowd and letting them be apart of the experience. His vocals are outstanding as well as he never falters throughout and is able to keep that momentum throughout. The rest of the band keep up with him and show just how tight they are as a unit. Performing a range of greatest hits from “Whatever It Takes” to newer tracks such as “Freak Flag”, they manage to cover just about everything a fan could wish for. The special treat however comes from the band performing “Thunderbird” for the very first time live. With the song comes the touching story of the meaning behind it and the dedication to the late Randy Rhoads. Closing the show there's the classics “Cum on Feel The Noize” and “Metal Health”, carrying the live performance to its climax. This live album make you wish you’d been at this show, and it takes you there in spades. Highly Recommended 01. Run for Cover 02. Slick Black Cadillac 03. Mama Weer All Crazee Now 04.
