Indeed. His voice is trash now. -
Yup.... you are correct. I had that disc as well.

Top ten?? Top Ten Worst??
-
Maybe they need Beau Hill back at the production helm. The new song from the new album is weak too.

What are the most egregious spelling mistakes on CDs? I had the reissue of W.A.S.P.'s "The Last Command". But the CD spine was spelled incorrectly as "The Last Comand". If I remember correctly, it was the Castle Records reissue. Any other notable fuck-ups?

Almost sounds like a B band reject from the 80's. Very average.
-
Nobody commented on this? I think it's very good.

I pissed off Guy when I said that awhile back on Facebook. He said the band is more AOR than hard rock. And I said the first albums guitars had balls but the last few releases, has a vagina! Just kidding. Didn't really say that. The first part I did say.

Still no bite to the guitars. Too soft sounding to me. It's an okay track.

Just listened to this whole disc..... very very good. Definitely in my Top 5 of 2019 thus far.
-
Hell yes.... sounds great.

I just do not understand at all why a cool band like this would reunite to release music that doesn't sound a bit like their debut album. I mean I know those demo releases they put out were mostly rubbish, but at least it still resembled Roxy Blue. This is just a waste of time for all involved. Nobody who was a fan in the 90's want to hear them sound like this. The modern day rock fan will say "Who the fuck are these guys"? And not even give this a listen. Why call it Roxy Blue? Without Sid "Boogie" Fletcher's unique guitar work, how is this even Roxy Blue?
-
Wow... that's horrid. No thanks.

I hope it's a return to form! https://www.blabbermouth.net/news/steel-panther-singer-on-upcoming-album-fans-are-gonna-love-this-new-group-of-songs/ STEEL PANTHER Singer On Upcoming Album: Fans 'Are Gonna Love This New Group Of Songs' May 5, 2019 0 Comments AddThis Sharing Buttons Share to Facebook FacebookShare to TwitterTwitterShare to PinterestPinterestShare to RedditRedditShare to More More22 STEEL PANTHER vocalist Michael Starr says that fans will "love" the band's upcoming album. The disc, which is tentatively due before the end of the year, is once again being produced by Jay Ruston, who collaborated with the band on all of its previous recordings, including its latest LP, 2017's "Lower The Bar". On Saturday (May 4), Starr — whose real name is Ralph Saenz — took to his Facebook page to write: "This morning I woke up with a clear vision and mind set. Our 5th Steel Panther studio record is almost done and I am seeing the future with this release. You are gonna love this new group of songs. We have worked extremely hard and it’s paid off. Be prepared to have your nuts fucking rocked off. Ladies get a towel cause your tits are gonna explode and it’s gonna get messy. The future is bright!" STEEL PANTHER drummer Stix Zadinia recently said that he was more excited about the band's upcoming album than he has ever been about any of the group's previous releases. "The riffs are fucking gnarly, dude — gnarly," he said. STEEL PANTHER specializes in imitating and exaggerating the less flattering aspects of 1980s hair metal, with unrepentantly crude, non-PC sexual content as a favorite lyrical theme. The group's music has been described as "VAN HALEN meets MÖTLEY CRÜE meets RATT meets 'Wayne's World', complete with operatic shrieks, misogyny, shredding guitar solos and libidinal overdrive." Eleven years ago, STEEL PANTHER changed its name from METAL SKOOL to its current moniker and shifted the focus of its act from ’80s metal covers to originals.

Santa Cruz - Changing Of Seasons
AlphaMale replied to All Nights Reserved's topic in AOR and Hard Rock
That I totally agree on. Does not sound like Santa Fucking Cruz at all. In the grand scheme of things (their back catalog), this is a very average song. But I still kinda diggit, for what it's worth. -

Not a big fan of that song. It's a Meh for me.

That sucks. Love these guys.

Much better than the other 2 tracks.
