  1. Their debut is still on Amazon UK for a reasonable price (less than GBP 10) http://www.amazon.co.uk/License-Thrill-Black-Rain/dp/B002WNU0K8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1298529143&sr=8-2-spell the second album is probably still unreleased, that insane price Geoff pointed out is perhaps the Japanese imported version ?
  2. can you guys point out which website have this for the cheapest basic-version price (with international postage of course) ?
  3. never heard of this band before, will check out later
  4. that's also true, is it any possible that someday Europe asked Marcello to rejoin as the sixth member and with twin guitar attack, Europe's sound will be very rich, from commercial melodic rock to heavy metal to modern stuff, that'd be cool btw, when you watch them live week ago, did they play Carrie in acoustical format like in the 'Live From The Dark' dvd ?
  5. @glam_junkie : aside LUST, never heard of the other bands, will check em out friend @geoff : great thread there mate, I will keep researching the news about them. It should also be nice to put albums that have around 80% probability to be released this year, at least there are quite a few news about them. I guess Warrant can be added, read it days ago that Mason is putting his vocal on some songs, so a late 2011 release is highly anticipated.
  6. Since this is still early in 2011, I thought of making a thread that list all that released albums and 'coming soon' to make sure all of us didn't miss any newer releases and to make us easier to categorize the top 2011 later. Please keep replying to this thread if there's any new album that haven't been included in the list, and let's keep non-modern rock related only as for the modern stuff, we have a thread here that was started by Geoff. 7. it's been a while since I listen to this record, will check out again later
  8. i guess i will pick this one since as far as I know, they haven't release an official live disc before
  9. that's right. Remember Norum started the band with Tempest under the name 'Force' and they won the local competition that awarded them the record deal for their debut. At that time, John was also awarded as the best guitarist, and the first two albums of Europe is simply traditional heavy metal, with John's guitar dominating the record. As soon as 'The Final Countdown' is introduced, which simply a keyboard-driven song, suddenly the band later turned into AOR kinda stuff with the keys dominating the albums. I don't think John has complain with melodic rock kind of stuff, but as long as his guitar is leading the song, it's fine. I guess that also explains the setlist they're playing nowadays, non-keyboard stuff (except Countdown since it's their biggest hit) and even the ballad Carrie (which started with a keyboard) usually performed solo by Tempest and his acoustic guitar lol
  10. i somehow like that movie, a bitter picture of POW's miserable life, but that's also probably I think that Bale is a very good actor, i like most of his movies, including the underrated Harsh Times
  11. Nightrain

  12. Nightrain

    New guy

hi Bass, welcome to the board
  13. what release is this Scattered Droppings ? demos ? bootleg ?
  14. never heard their debut, what kind of style they're playin' man ?
  15. is this going to be songs they performed live in 80-early 90s (like GNR live era) or the recent performances ?
  16. as long as John Norum in the band, I don't think there will be a return-to-commercial version of Europe, after all, Norum eventually decided to left Europe as soon as they began slowing down in Countdown
  17. is it a sin to buy the basic version and just download the whole different version thing on the net ?
