  1. hi James what do you think about Far Cry, Alliance, and Cinema
  2. Mate - MPG, THe Storm, Rage n' Rox and Brickyard are all for your list I reckon. MPG is early 80's Pomp AOR, but a bit of a classic if you are in to the genre. The Storm is classy Female fronted Melodic rock and a superb album - definite must buy, followed closely by Rage 'n Rox which is also good. Brickyard is good quality Melodic rock/AOR with a bit of a Thunder sound in places, especially the vocals. Of the others, the Silver Shadow is a 4 tracker, but once again, very good early 80's pomp/AOR. The Press is kinda similar, Pompy in places and pretty good. Illustrator is a goodie too, light christian AOR - not for everyone admittedly, but I've been after both the albums for a while now, so a 2on1 was a bargain. Powerglide is also good, a mix of their 2nd album and a couple of EP's- good AOR. The only one that wasn't great was the Topaz disc, whilst ok musically, is spoilt a little by poor vocals and a bad production. In conclusion - a whole host of really good stuff on some of the more AOR/MR and Pomp titles Retrospects stock. Hope that helps a little hi Jez, thanks for the quick glance. I have listened to Rage n Rox and Brickyard and both of them are already in my wishlist. The Storm looks promising, will check out the samples later. Looks like you're an AOR hunter, will also check out MPG and The Press first

remember guys, Credit Suisse also have branches all around the world, so this Swiss lotto and netherland thing can be very true lol
  4. @jez and geoff : if you have a chance of listening to the new haul, pls inform at a glance what do you think of those discs, i'm still arranging my retrospect order list
  5. thanks for the heads up, will look for it, just wiki that album, and damn they got a weird funny song title, "axl rose where did you go?" lol that's a winner i guess NP. Europe - Almost Unplugged
  6. hi Geoff this album is what I'm talking about, apparently it was released in Asia in 2010, and any other region will be released somewhere later in 2011. Pretty good even though I find myself liking their prior album slightly, but this one is still solid and for the other bands, shame on me, i'm with Alphamale, never heard of any of it before except Papa Roach, and I don't really like em lol i think i need to learn more
  7. Haha... nice to see someone taking notes. Yep, it's a great disc, produced by Mitch Allan from SR-71, and I think he brought a lot of SR-71's punch to the band. It is light years ahead of their average debut. I have both Click Five albums... great band. In fact I should be on the look out for something new from them soon hopefully? Spinning: Silverstein - 'Shipwreck in the sand' ; actually took note of the story for the first time since owning this concept album... actually makes the CD a whole lot better. Still not their best, but a good album if you take it all in. Anberlin - 'Dark is the way, light is the place' ; easily their best disc since 'NTFP.' SR-71 is a nice band as well, but i only have one album "Now you see inside", don't know if their newer releases are any good ? and about Click Five, I guess TCV is their latest release right ? if there's anything new from them, should be this late year, or probably next year never heard of silverstein and anberlin before, okay i will try that as well
  8. Let us know what you think of the show, I`ve got tickets to see them later in the year. will do buddy, this is my first time seeing them and their first time visiting Indonesia, and after listening to them for about 20 years, it should be an exciting experience now spinning : Vega - Kiss of Life
  9. sorry double post .. after FF, came up next : Helloween - Pink Bubbles
  10. geoff, i gave a try on every avenue disc you mentioned earlier, and I must say, the melody inside is just thrilling, an exciting disc. btw, you also should try the click five - TCV, a nice powerpop band and also a good album currently spinning Iron Maiden - the final frontier, preparing for their show on Thursday
  11. "A touch of heaven" is better but after the third album, i began to lose interest in them as all of them just sounded the same, I hardly can distinguish which album is which
  12. "Key To My Heart" can be a great Crazy Lixx song, "Restless Minds" is also awesome overall good album, the singer's tone is quite similar to Age Nielsen (wig wam) a promising start for them, hopefully the next one will be better
