  7. So very true about those bands as you hear their music in the mainstream all the time (along with Ozzy & Poison, which I guess its a good thing ). I went to Ratt/Extreme & Great White/Dangerous Toys/Love Hate/Rhino Bucket last year & there were alot of youngsters there rockin' out which did my heart good
  8. Can't wait for these releases as I used to see these bands live in the KC area along with BANSHEE, VYPER & HARLOW all the time...
  9. Backed! That was exactly what I was thinking watching that video...But I've also noticed alot of younger kids at some of the older bands shows, either with their parents who are fans or them just getting exposure to the older stuff, which is cool. I remember talking to some guys in their 20's one time about all the bands I had seen in my day & it was like I was Jesus talking to my followers, they were in awe...
  10. Can't wait to see them live...they're playing my city in May w/ Skynyrd & the Outlaws...
  11. The only ones I can think of off the top of my head are PRECIOUS METAL (who did an excellent cover of "MR. BIG STUFF"), PHANTOM BLUE & maybe THE PANDORAS? Hope this jogs your memory...
  12. Backed. Funny you should mention this because in my mind I don't even consider AIC a grunge band...They were way to heavy & talented IMO to be lumped into that category...
  13. Hey Jez haven't heard about these...what's deluxe about them & who's putting them out? Wasn't going to bother with these, a I bought the excellent 'Rules Of Hell' box set a couple of years back, but the bonus discs for both are worth getting these again for I think, especially the 'Mob Rules' disc. 'I didn't bother with 'Live Evil', as apart from the remaster, it adds nothing different to that of the box set Both are new 2010 remasters in very nice double digipacks, (like the def Leppard re-issues) 'Heaven And Hell' adds all the B' Sides of the singles and 12", plus some live tracks from Hartford 1980 Disc 2: 7"/12" B'Sides, plus Live 1. Children Of The Sea (Live Single B'Side) 2. Heaven And Hell (Live Single B'Side) 3. Lady Evil (7" Mono Mix) 4. Neon Knights (Live 1980) 5. Children Of The Sea (Live 1980) 6. Heaven And Hell (Live 1980 B' Side) 7. Die Young (Live 1980) 'Mob Rules' adds 2 bonus tracks namely 'Die Young-Live' from The Mob Rules 12", plus 'The Mob Rules' Demo version from the 'Heavy Metal' soundtrack, plus the very sweet 5000 limited edition live album that was released back in 2007 from 'Hammersmith Odeon' in 81/82, which is very very nice to have, seeing as I missed the Ltd version first time around. Disc 2: - Live At Hammersmith Odeon 31st December '81/ 1st Jan '82 1. E5150 2. Neon Knights 3. N.I.B. 4. Children Of The Sea 5. Country Girl 6. Black Sabbath 7. War Pigs 8. Slipping Away 9. Iron Man 10. The Mob Rules 11. Heaven & Hell 12. Paranoid 13. Voodoo 14. Children Of The Grave Thanks for the info...Yes I also missed that limited live cd so it's cool they put it with the deluxe edition. That's the main reason I bought the Def Leppard "Pyromania" deluxe edition for the excellent live disc that came with it...it was nice to hear them when they were good...

  15. The Death of our music was due to over saturation of hair bands the label's signed. They signed band's that didn't deserve to be signed. I also believe the record sales dropped do to the popularity of used discs.. I myself started to stray into the more THRASH, DEATH, and HARDCORE direction, due to the same bullshit video's played by MTV. I used to play NEVERMIND alot when it first came out..At the same time, I can't really say I was caught up in the whole Grunge scene. I liked a few albums and I bought them.. My love for Nirvana started with BLEACH anyway. When NEVERMIND came out, I went out and got it. With that being said, I truely doubt I helped kill Hair metal or Melodic rock.. Plus some of the good bands never had a chance because of lack of support & promotion from the label themselves (MCA Records comes to mind). Just like Junky I also went into a more hardcore/punk/thrash direction just for a change of pace. I also liked "Nevermind" when it came out because THAT was a change from what I was listening to at the time. But I also liked Soundgarden & Mother Love Bone (pre Pearl Jam) before the whole grundge explosion & had actually seen Nirvana live before "Nevermind" even came out & had liked what I heard...
  16. Some more decent finds today: MARSHALL LAW - "S/T" SAMMY HAGAR - "MUSICAL CHAIRS" " - "STREET MACHINE" SANCTUARY - "INTO THE MIRROR BLACK" all these below were $2 POISON - "NATIVE TONGUE" ANNIHILATOR - "CRITERIA FOR A BLACK WIDOW" ENUFF Z'NUFF - "STRENGTH" DANGER DANGER - "SCREW IT"
